Chairside Dental Assisting introduces students to the essential skills and responsibilities required to assist dentists during clinical procedures. The course covers the principles of infection control, patient preparation, instrument and material management, and maintaining a safe and efficient dental environment. Emphasis is placed on effective communication with patients, proper handling and transfer of dental instruments, assisting with restorative and specialty procedures, and understanding dental charting and documentation. Through a combination of theoretical knowledge and hands-on practice, students develop the competence needed to support the dental team and provide quality patient care in a professional clinical setting.
