Cardiopulmonary Pharmacology explores the pharmacological principles and therapeutic applications of drugs used to treat diseases affecting the heart and lungs. This course covers the mechanisms of action, pharmacokinetics, indications, contraindications, adverse effects, and drug interactions of medications commonly used in managing cardiovascular and pulmonary disorders, such as hypertension, heart failure, arrhythmias, asthma, and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. Emphasis is placed on evidence-based clinical decision making, case-based discussions, and understanding the role of pharmacotherapy in the context of comprehensive patient care for cardiopulmonary conditions.
