Course Introduction
Biological Psychology explores the intricate relationship between biological processes and behavior, examining how the brain, nervous system, hormones, and genetics influence our thoughts, emotions, and actions. Students will gain a foundational understanding of neuroanatomy, neurophysiology, and the methods used to study the brain. The course covers topics such as sensation and perception, movement, motivation, emotion, learning, memory, and the biological basis of mental disorders. Through an integrative approach, this course highlights how biology shapes psychological processes, providing crucial insights into both normal and abnormal human behavior.
