Art for Non-Majors is designed to introduce students from all backgrounds to the fundamental principles, techniques, and concepts of visual art. Through hands-on projects, class discussions, and exposure to diverse artists and styles, students will explore various media such as drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art. Emphasis is placed on creative expression, visual literacy, and the development of observational skills, allowing students to gain confidence in art-making without requiring previous experience. This course fosters an appreciation for the visual arts and encourages individual exploration and critical thinking in a supportive, non-competitive environment.
