Art and Perception explores the complex relationship between visual arts and human sensory experience. This course examines how individuals interpret and respond to various forms of artistic expression through the lens of psychological, cultural, and physiological frameworks. Students will engage with theories of perception, such as Gestalt principles and color theory, as well as analyze the impact of historical and contemporary artworks on viewers cognitive processes. Through lectures, discussions, and hands-on activities, the course fosters a deeper understanding of how artists manipulate visual elements to influence meaning, emotion, and interpretation.
