Enterprise stacking in agricultural operations is a model in which multiple business entities, or “enterprises,” share the same land base for different production.
This toolkit is part of a USDA BFRDP funded research project conducted by Quivira Coalition and Vilicus Institute. For this project we examine enterprise stacking as an avenue for new and first-generation agrarians without access to their own land base to break into the agricultural industry in a symbiotic partnership with an existing operation. This project is focused specifically on large scale operations in the Western U.S.
