This 6-week class will take you from the very basics to a finished 54” square sampler quilt. Learn 16 different blocks, using different piecing techniques each week. This class is for beginners, however the beginning rotary class is required. Requires weekly homework.

Each month I’ll feature a new cross stitch project and show you how I stitched and finished it - whether it’s framed, mounted, or turned into a pillow. Our first project is Garden Variety Watermelon by Primrose Cottage, displayed in a chalk painted Paisley & Polka Dot frame. The design can be swapped out monthly to match the season.

We’ll cover the essentials: thread length, number of strands, Aida vs. linen, needle sizes, variegated vs. solid threads, and how to start, secure, and tidy your stitches. You’ll learn how to personalize your project by changing fabrics or colors and how to adjust counts if switching from linen to Aida. To finish, I’ll teach you how to mount your piece on chipboard or turn it into a pincushion or pillow. Endless possibilities, all beginner friendly.
