As co-editors of McGill Law’s newspaper of record, we are overjoyed to welcome you back to another year at the Quid Novi. What a year it will be. 1Ls will have to take our word for it: last year was a good time. Many McGill Law institutions–the Quid included– were getting back on firm footing after the pandemic. Staples like Coffeehouse, the famed Skit Nite, and a paper format Quid Novi all returned in style. This year brings with it new horizons and opportunities for the Quid
and its contributors. The Quid Novi’s mandate is to provide a positive outlet for student journalism through which McGill Law discusses, documents, and comes to understand itself. This year, the Quid will continue to fulfill this role in a big way with the launch of Quid Novi News (QNN). QNN will be a short-form video podcast designed to inform McGill Law about upcoming events, document life at the Faculty, and highlight extraordinary members of our community. This

The Quid Novi is McGill Law. It is you. It is us. So, while we are grateful for your continued readership of this publication, do not hesitate to jump into the fray at least once. Please send us your pictures, poems, political commentary, jokes, and insights about learning and living the law. It is up to us to document McGill Law lore for future generations to admire. We look forward to reading your submissions!
