MakingHistory:The BlueprintforLegacy

Welcome to the February 2025 issue of Lioness Dynasty Magazine, a special edition honoring Black History Month. This isn't just about looking back; it's about actively making history now and building the future.

As the founder of Queenshipt, Kingshipt, and Lioness Dynasty, I've committed myself to building systems that empower not just me, but all of us. My focus has always been on creating opportunities, not just finding them. It's about developing infrastructure, not just dreaming up ideas, and teaching how to build wealth, not just how to survive.

At 26, I’ve shaped a career that merges art, music, business, and community leadership into one clear goal: building a dynasty of leaders who are truly self-sufficient. Inside this issue, you’ll explore my journey—from the concept of Kingshipt and creating my series, "Kingshipt Collection," to writing my first book and now, producing this magazine. Each piece is part of a bigger picture: helping you turn your talents into wealth, influence, and a lasting legacy.

But my story is rooted in service. Whether it was my time as a Venture & Project Manager with Raleigh Bermuda or my four years as a Lance Corporal in the Royal Bermuda Regiment, these experiences taught me the discipline and vision to lead with both strategy and empathy.

Consider this issue your personal invitation to embrace your power, discover your purpose, and claim your sovereignty. Making history isn’t just for textbooks it’s a choice we make daily through our actions, decisions, and the lives we build.

So, as you read on, ask yourself: What legacy am I building? Because history is happening now, and it’s ours to write.

Welcome to Lioness Dynasty.

THEFOUNDER About

A BOUT THEFOUNDER

At just 26, Jiqena C. Furqan is already shaping a legacy-driven movement, blending artistry, entrepreneurship, and empowerment As the founder of Queenshipt, Kingshipt, and Lioness Dynasty, she's not just building businesses but cultivating systems of sovereignty, wealth, and leadership for future generations.

Jiqena’s journey in leadership and service began with Raleigh Bermuda, a global organization focused on community development and empowering young leaders As a Venture & Project Manager, Raleigh played a pivotal role in her personal development, focusing on projects providing sustainable solutions, improving living conditions, and installing gravity-fed water systems in underdeveloped communities. Venturing to Nicaragua and Costa Rica, Jiqena learned firsthand the importance of collaboration, adaptability, and resilience Her time at Raleigh reinforced her belief that true leadership is about creating impact beyond oneself.

Her leadership also extended to the Royal Bermuda Regiment, where she served as a Lance Corporal, 2nd -incommand, for four years from the age of 19 The military instilled in her a strong sense of discipline, strategy, and perseverance qualities that now fuel her approach to entrepreneurship and community-building.

Training in high-pressure environments, working in structured teams, and learning to make decisive decisions in unpredictable situations strengthened her ability to lead with both precision and purpose.

These combined experiences shaped Jiqena’s philosophy of ‘From Service to Sovereignty.' She believes that structured leadership roles whether in military, nonprofit, or corporate settings offer a foundation for independence But true sovereignty is built when one transforms those experiences into self-sustaining systems of wealth, empowerment, and legacy. Her transition from service to entrepreneurship is a testament to this, proving that leaders are not just born they are forged through experience, challenge, and the will to create lasting change.

The Genesis of a Vision

Jiqena’s entrepreneurial journey began with Kingship, born from a class project where she created a series of art pieces honoring Black men. This collection, featuring works titled "Breaking Point," "Misfit," and "Redemption," wasn't just about artistic expression it was a deliberate choice to acknowledge and celebrate the resilience of Black men in the face of systemic challenges. This initial project revealed her gift for creating work with deeper meaning and social impact

The evolution from Kingship to Queenship reflects Jiqena’s understanding of the need for balance and authentic selfexpression While Kingship honored Black men, Queenship emerged as a platform for women to embrace their multifaceted nature This dual approach acknowledges that strong communities require the elevation of both men and women, working in harmony rather than opposition

Building the Lioness Dynasty

The creation of Lioness Dynasty marked Jiqena’s transition from artist to empire builder. The name itself carries deep personal significance inspired by her Leo zodiac sign and her vision of building a powerful legacy. As she explains, "Dynasty means different generations of a single family, a ruling family, a family with power, wealth, and influence."

What sets Jiqena apart is her methodical approach to creative entrepreneurship. Rather than following the traditional path of an artist seeking opportunities, she focused on building the infrastructure first creating systems and frameworks that would allow her art to thrive sustainably. Her philosophy of "Build the machine first, so that you can focus on making magic" demonstrates a keen understanding of the business side of creative pursuits.

Mission and Core Values

At the heart of Jiqena's work lies a powerful mission: legacy development and cultural transformation. Her initiatives are built on two fundamental pillars:

A Multifaceted Approach

Today, Jiqena's empire spans multiple creative and educational platforms:

Early Foundations

Jiqena’s leadership journey began at the age of 13 when she made a conscious decision to embark on what she calls "a journey to become a woman." In her culture, this transition was defined not just by age but by a deeper commitment to independence, self-sufficiency, and purpose. This early understanding of personal development became the cornerstone of her philosophy one that would guide her entrepreneurial ventures and creative pursuits.

Her formal leadership path began with Raleigh Bermuda, a global organization focused on community development and empowering young leaders As a Venture & Project Manager, she contributed in team initiatives that provided sustainable solutions, improved living conditions, and installed gravityfed water systems in underdeveloped communities

Her service in Nicaragua and Costa Rica reinforced essential qualities collaboration, adaptability, and resilience all of which continue to shape her approach to business and mentorship

Her leadership experience extended further through the Royal Bermuda Regiment, where she served as a Lance Corporal, 2nd-in-command, for four years starting at age 19. After becoming a recruit at 18 The military instilled in her a strong sense of discipline, strategy, and perseverance qualities that now fuel her entrepreneurial vision. Training in high-pressure environments, making decisive decisions, and working within structured teams refined her ability to lead with both precision and purpose

The Artist’s Evolution

As a multifaceted creative, Jiqena’s approach to art transcends traditional boundaries. From visual arts to podcasting, from written word to spoken word, each of her creative endeavors serves as a channel for expressing complex ideas and emotions. What sets her apart is her intentional approach to creativity every piece she creates carries deeper meaning and purpose, designed to inspire transformation in others.

Overcoming Fear of Success

One of Jiqena’s most profound personal transformations involved confronting and overcoming her fear of success She candidly shares her journey of moving past the comfort of behindthe-scenes work to embrace her role as a visible leader This shift required her to address deep-seated concerns about disappointment, attention, and the responsibilities that come with being "the face" of success

Philosophy and Approach

Jiqena’s leadership style is characterized by several key principles:

Intentional Creation: Every action she takes, from art to business decisions, carries purpose and meaning.

TheVisionBehindthe Dynasty

Jiqena C. Furqan’s journey toward building Queenshipt, Kingshipt, and Lioness Dynasty was deeply personal rooted in both self-discovery and a mission to uplift others. What began as a class assignment soon evolved into a transformative movement. Tasked with creating a meaningful art series, Jiqena created The Kingshipt Collection, a tribute to Black men and their resilience. Pieces like Breaking Point, Misfit, and Redemption captured their struggles, endurance, and strength in a world that often seeks to diminish them.

“I do everything with intention,” she shares. “I wanted to honor the strength of Black men, to show them that they are seen, valued, and respected.” Kingshipt became more than an artistic expression it was an act of love, a celebration of Black male excellence, and a reclamation of their narrative.

However, as Jiqena immersed herself in this work, she realized she needed a space for her own voice. While Kingshipt honored Black men, Queenshipt became a reflection of her self-discovery and expression. “Kingshipt was about men, but Queenshipt allowed me to embrace my femininity fully. It became my outlet for creativity, whether through art, spoken word, music, podcasts, or books.” Queenshipt blossomed into a multidimensional movement, providing a space for women to step into their sovereignty and embrace their full power.

The natural progression of these two entities led to the birth of Lioness Dynasty as a Parent entity the overarching framework that ties them together. For Jiqena, a Lioness Dynasty is not just a name on Social Media; it represents legacy, generational wealth, and collective empowerment. “A dynasty represents generations of power, influence, and leadership,” she explains. “I always knew I wanted to build an empire, a home, a legacy ”

Rooted in holistic development—spanning wealth, health, and selfmastery—Lioness Dynasty seeks to empower individuals to reclaim their narratives. Jiqena believes that families build strong nations and that Black communities must reclaim their power by strengthening their households, institutions, and cultural foundations. “Marriage is the first institution. A strong household creates strong nations,” she asserts. In a time when the Black family has faced historical attacks and division, she sees Kingshipt, Queenshipt, and Lioness Dynasty as instruments of change bridging gaps and fostering unity.

For Jiqena, sovereignty is not just a concept—it is a necessity. “Sovereignty means freedom freedom from control, freedom to create, freedom to secure your legacy.” She emphasizes the importance of ownership, self-governance, and community-led progress, warning against systems that seek to erase Black contributions and history. A true nation-builder, she believes that economic independence is essential to lasting impact. “If we don’t control our resources, our narratives, our education then we are at the mercy of those who seek to erase us.” This belief is reflected in her initiatives, which encourage financial literacy, artistic autonomy, and cultural preservation.

Jiqena challenges people to think generationally, to build legacies that will be studied, celebrated, and remembered for centuries. As Black History Month encourages us to honor past leaders, she urges individuals to create their own history. “We shouldn’t just study history; we should be making history ” Through her work in art, podcasting, and leadership, she has built platforms where selfexpression and purpose go hand in hand.

Her latest venture, Kingshipt Podcast, launching February 24, 2025, will expand on business, leadership, and the economic side of creative industries. She also celebrates the release of her first book, Love You to the Moon & Back: The Journey of Everlasting Love, now available on Amazon Kindle another addition to her growing legacy.

Jiqena’s mission is clear: to inspire, empower, and cultivate a self-sufficient community. Through Lioness Dynasty, she invites individuals to engage with her platforms, learn, and build together. “We are building a community for those willing to help themselves to become self-competent, self-reliant, and sovereign.”

With her unwavering commitment to legacy development, Jiqena C. Furqan is not just an artist or entrepreneur—she is a movement, a force, and a leader shaping the future. As she powerfully concludes: “You can’t rush God’s timing. Be adaptable, be teachable, and trust the process. Those who refuse to change will be left behind. Become selfcompetent, and everything else will fall into place.”

In Lioness Dynasty, the journey from princess to queen is not just an evolution it’s a revolution.

THE KINGSHIPT

CO LLECTION

TheInspirationBehindKingshipt

The genesis of Kingshipt was more than an artistic endeavor; it was a declaration of honor, strength, and resilience for Black men. The visionary behind Kingshipt, Queenshipt, and Lioness Dynasty, first conceptualized Kingshipt as part of an art project What began as a classroom assignment quickly evolved into a powerful cultural statement one that aimed to reclaim the image of the Black man, not as a figure burdened by struggle, but as a pillar of strength and resilience.

Jiqena’s inspiration stemmed from the misrepresentation and mistreatment of Black men in society She saw how they were often portrayed in a negative light, their struggles magnified, while their contributions, strength, and resilience were frequently overlooked Determined to change the narrative, she created the Kingshipt Collection a series of portraits that highlighted the spiritual, emotional, and mental fortitude of Black men.

Each piece in the Kingshipt Collection carried a deeper message. Some depicted the silent battles Black men face daily, while others captured the unbreakable spirit that allows them to rise despite adversity. Her artwork sought to humanize, honor, and elevate Black men, showing them in a way that was rarely acknowledged in mainstream media.

The Kingshipt Collection wasn’t just about aesthetics; it was about erasing the stigma attached to Black masculinity

Through her art, Jiqena challenged the misconceptions that painted Black men as merely aggressive, dangerous, or absent Instead, she portrayed them as rulers, Kings, strong, and unbreakable traits they have embodied despite odds. She recognized that Kingshipt was more than just a project; it was a movement. It became a space where Black men could see themselves in a different light, appreciate their own worth, and reclaim their identity

As Kingshipt gained recognition, it expanded beyond artwork into a larger platform advocating for Black male empowerment, economic independence, and cultural pride. She soon became a videographer at Wednesday Night Vibes in support of King Somner who was on a mission that aligned with the concept of Kingshipt, in 2019. This movement laid the foundation for Kingshipt’s evolution no longer just an artistic statement but a practical initiative aimed at empowering Black men through awareness, education, and community-building

Kingshipt is not just about honoring the past struggles of Black men it’s about reshaping their mind frame for the future. It seeks to equip them with the knowledge needed to thrive in all aspects of life Whether through art, business, or leadership, Kingshipt strives to remain committed to building a dynasty where Black men are seen, valued, and respected.

THE VOICE OF

O MEN

While Kingshipt focused on uplifting and honoring Black men, Queenshipt emerged as a necessary counterpart a space for women to express, heal, and step into their divine power Jiqena created Queenshipt as a movement that allowed women to break free from societal limitations and reclaim their voices.

She recognized that while Black men faced external struggles, Black women often carried internalized battles, navigating a world that expected them to be strong while rarely providing them the space to be vulnerable and expressive

Queenshipt evolved beyond just art and business; it transformed into a sanctuary for self-discovery. Through visual art, spoken word, music, and digital spaces like the Queenshipt Podcast, creating a safe haven where women could share their stories without fear.

Her mission was clear to give women a voice, to allow them to see the power in their softness, strength in their challenges, and sovereignty in their choices. As Jiqena herself expressed, 'Queenshipt allows my feminine side, my feminine energy to have a voice, to have an outlet to openly express myself whether that’s through art, spoken word, music, podcasts, or a book.' Whether through storytelling, business ventures, or community discussions, Queenshipt empowered women to own their narratives and redefine what it means to be a modern-day queen.

'Queenshiptallowsmyfeminineside, myfeminineenergytohaveavoice, tohaveanoutlettoopenlyexpress myself—whetherthat’sthroughart, spokenword, music, podcasts, ora book.'

Queenshipt is not just about self-expression; it is about building legacy and generational influence. By helping women recognize their worth, potential, and ability to create wealth, the movement became a catalyst for change encouraging women to invest in themselves, build businesses, and cultivate financial independence

Just as Kingshipt set out to redefine the image of Black men, Queenshipt provided women with a new foundation of selfworth, confidence, and empowerment. Together, these two movements form the pillars of Lioness Dynasty, shaping a future where both men and women rise together in sovereignty and strength.

FOUNDATION Leadership&Developement

FINDING DIRECTION THROUGH EDUCATION

Jiqena Furqan’s academic journey at Bermuda College was one of selfdiscovery resilience and transformation Originally accepted to the University of Ontario for kinesiology, she found herself unable to attend due to the Raleigh International expedition in Costa Rica With no immediate alternatives, she enrolled at Bermuda College an unexpected decision that would set her on a path toward her true purpose

Initially studying Applied Science, Jiqena’s coursework included Psychology, Business, Sociology, Math and English However, despite the promising career prospects in kinesiology she struggled with a lack of passion for the field A turning point came when she realized she was dreading starting her days, a clear sign that her soul was out of alignment with her chosen path Trusting her instincts, she made the bold decision to switch her major to Liberal Arts fully embracing her love for art and business

The Impact of Liberal Arts and Visual Leadership

Transitioning to the Liberal Arts program allowed Jiqena to reconnect with her childhood dream of becoming an artist From a young age she had expressed a desire to create, but like many, she initially pursued a more conventional career path Through Bermuda College’s art program, she gained access to resources that enabled her to design logos, edit videos, and refine brand aesthetics key skills that would later shape her entrepreneurial ventures

These organizational skills seamlessly translated into her entrepreneurial ventures, allowing her to efficiently oversee multiple businesses while maintaining a clear vision for her longterm goals.

From Service to Sovereignty: The Entrepreneurial Bridge

The transition from humanitarian work and military service to entrepreneurship was not an abrupt leap but a natural progression The leadership, discipline, and strategic planning she developed in Raleigh Bermuda and the Royal Bermuda Regiment became the very foundation upon which she built Queenshipt, Kingshipt, and Lioness Dynasty.

Her ventures embody the values instilled in her through service empowerment, resilience, and community upliftment

Whether through art, business, or mentorship, Jiqena continues to apply the same principles she learned in the field: lead with purpose, remain

A Legacy of Impact: Jiqena’s journey from a young Venturer to a military leader and now a pioneering entrepreneur illustrates how diverse leadership experiences shape a powerful and lasting legacy.

Her story is a testament to the idea that true leadership is not about a title or rank it is about consistently showing up, making a difference, and using

one’s skills and experiences to uplift others As she continues to grow her businesses and expand her influence, her mission remains clear: to build systems that empower, inspire, and create lasting change

HISTORY& LEGACY Black

RebuildingFamily

In the tapestry of Black history, the family unit has always been a crucial thread—one that has faced continuous challenges yet demonstrates remarkable resilience. Through Lioness Dynasty, Queenshipt, and Kingshipt, Jiqena Furqan addresses historical wounds while creating new pathways for family restoration and legacy building.

"For centuries, the Black family has been attacked," Jiqena notes, emphasizing how systemic forces have historically been weaponized to divide Black men and women. This understanding drives her mission to heal, rebuild, and strengthen the Black family as the foundation of a thriving community.

A central aspect of Jiqena’s work is addressing gender relations within the Black community. Through Kingshipt, she highlights the unique struggles of Black men, fostering resilience and support systems that uplift them. Simultaneously, through Queenshipt, she empowers women while emphasizing the necessity of collaboration rather than competition in relationships. Her initiatives promote harmony, ensuring that Black men and women stand together rather than apart.

Jiqena echoes a fundamental truth: "Family is the first institution. Marriage is the first institution. Families create strong nations, strong infrastructure. Families rule the world." This perspective shapes her holistic approach to community building, recognizing that sustainable change must begin at the family level.

CreatingNew Narratives "Harmonyathomestartswith thoughtfuldesign."

Healing Gender Relations and Strengthening Bonds

Rather than simply dwelling on historical injustices, Farrakhan's work focuses on creating new narratives and possibilities:

Economic Empowerment: Encouraging entrepreneurship and wealth building within families

Cultural Preservation: Creating platforms for authentic self-expression and cultural celebration

Intergenerational Growth: Building systems that can sustain and nurture future generations

Relationship Healing: Addressing the wounds that have created division between Black men and women

Family as the Economic Engine of Nations

Jiqena’s vision of family economics extends beyond income generation to wealth creation and sustainability.

Wealth Creation and Transfer

Families serve as the primary vehicle for intergenerational wealth transfer.

Strong family units establish systems for preserving and growing assets.

Family businesses provide sustainable economic foundations.

Inheritance includes monetary wealth, knowledge, skills, and values that shape future generations.

Economic Education Within Families

The development of entrepreneurial mindsets. Understanding trade and value creation.

Building systems for sustainable income.

Creating and protecting family assets.

The Impact on National Economics

Strong families create self-sufficient communities that contribute to national prosperity.

Family-owned businesses play a significant role in GDP growth.

Intergenerational wealth transfer builds economic stability.

Family values shape work ethic, productivity, and social mobility.

Sovereignty and Economic Independence

Jiqena emphasizes that economic freedom begins with sovereignty:

Individual Sovereignty: Control over earning potential, financial decision-making, and asset management.

Family Sovereignty: Economic self-sufficiency, control over education, and the ability to shape family culture and values.

Community Sovereignty: Establishing economic and social infrastructures that support long-term Black empowerment.

The Role of Family in Economic and Cultural Development

Jiqena identifies several key ways families contribute to economic growth:

Value Creation: Families as units of production, skill development, and business creation.

Resource Management: Efficient allocation of resources, long-term investment planning, and wealth protection.

Cultural Impact: Transferring financial literacy, professional standards, and work ethic across generations.

Social Capital: Network building, community engagement, and collaborative economic opportunities.

Beyond Black History Month: Active History-Making

While February serves as a time to reflect on Black history, Jiqena’s message is clear: "Black History Month should be a reminder to create history, not just study it." Her initiatives encourage individuals to:

Become active participants in shaping Black history.

Build legacies that will be studied by future generations.

Develop achievements worthy of commemoration.

Create systems that ensure cultural preservation.

The Role of Modern Media in Legacy Building

Through Lioness Dynasty’s various platforms—magazines, podcasts, art, and literature—

Jiqena provides spaces where Black families can:

See themselves authentically represented.

Share their stories and experiences.

Learn from others’ journeys.

Connect with resources for personal and economic growth.

Engage in meaningful community-building efforts.

A Vision for the Future

Jiqena’s work underscores that rebuilding the Black family requires:

Acknowledgment of historical wounds.

The creation of new, healing narratives.

Development of economic opportunities.

Cultivation of cultural pride.

Establishment of sustainable support systems.

Her mission is clear: the challenges facing Black families are rooted in history, but the solutions lie in crafting new systems that support healing, growth, and legacy-building. Through intentional effort and divine alignment, she believes Black families can reclaim their natural position as the cornerstone of strong, thriving communities.
