After distributing surveys for over a month to gauge the willingness of residents to pay for a private security company, not enough were returned for the Howard Beach Lindenwood Civic Association to move forward with the plan. The group’s leaders don’t necessarily think it would be worth it anyway, and are instead promoting more political engagement among attendees to combat crime.
