The city hopes to polish up the Jewel Streets, a 12-block neighborhood straddling East New York and Lindenwood, with a $146 million overhaul to reduce flooding, add housing and increase safety and quality of life. But not all were sold on it at Community Board 10’s Nov. 6 meeting, as members, including Kevin Roan, at mic, questioned officials on the proposal’s details.
