MaintenanceIntervals

Usetheservicehourmetertodetermineservicingintervals.Calendarintervalsshown(daily,weekly, monthly,etc.)canbeusedinsteadofservicehourmeterintervalsiftheyprovidemoreconvenientservicing schedulesandapproximatetheindicatedservicehourmeterreading.Recommendedserviceshouldalwaysbe performedattheintervalthatoccursfirst.Underextremelysevere,dusty,orwetoperatingconditions,more frequentlubricationthanisspecifiedinthemaintenanceintervalschartmightbenecessary.Performservice onitemsatmultiplesoftheoriginalrequirement.Forexample,atevery500servicehoursor3months,also servicethoseitemslistedunderevery250servicehoursormonthlyandevery10servicehoursordaily.

Manualtuning

Thecurrentfrequencywillbeincreased/decreasedby1stepof0.2MHz(USAFMmode),10kHz(USAAM mode)andonechannel(25kHz)inWXmode.

SeekingaStation

WhentheSeekfunctionisactivated,theradioincrements/decrementsthefrequencyuntilatunablestationis found.

Ifatunablestationisnotfound,theradiowilldisplay"NOSTATIONFOUND".

Presets

StoringRadioStationPresets:

1.Tunethedesiredfrequency,andthenlongpressanyofthePreset(1-6)buttonsuntiltheradioproduces abeep.

TuningRadioStationPresets

1.ShortpressanyofthePreset(1-6)buttons.Thefrequencystoredatthepresetlocationistunedwhen thebuttonisreleased.

Scan

ToinitiatetheScanfunction,shortpresstheSCAN/ASCNbutton.WhenSCANisinitiated,theradioseeks upinfrequencyandstopsonthenextstrongfrequencyfor8secondsbeforecontinuingtoseekforthenext strongstation.

Ifnostationisfoundintwopassesthroughtheband,theradiowilldisplay“NOSTATIONFOUND”and thentunetothestartingfrequency.

Autoscan

Thisfunctiontemporallystoresthestrongest6stationsofthecurrentbandinthepresetsuntiltheradiois poweredofforthesourceischanged.

AUTOSCANdoesnotstorethefrequenciesonthepresetsonnumericalorder.Frequenciesarestoredbased ontheordertheywerefoundandonthequalityofthefrequency.

ToinitiatetheAUTOSCANfunction,longpresstheSCAN/ASCANbuttonuntiltheradioperformsabeep. Thenthe"AUTOSCAN"iconwillblinkwhiletheradioisstoringthetemporarypresets.

WhentheAutoscanprocessfinishes,theradiowilltunetothestationstoredinPreset1andthe"AUTO SCAN"iconshallbeilluminatedwhilethemodeisactive.

TheWXbandisfortheGovernmentalweatherradioservicesfrequencies.Theradiocantunetotheseven weatherchannelsfollowingthestepsinTuning,Presets,andSCANsections.

SXM(IfEquipped)

VehicleswithavalidSiriusXM®satelliteradiosubscriptioncanreceiveSiriusXMprogramming.SiriusXM satelliteradiohasawidevarietyofprogrammingandcommercial-freemusic,coasttocoast,andindigitalqualitysound.

SiriusXM® SXMDisplay

WhenSiriusXMisactive,thechannelnumber,channelname,artistname/contentinfo,songtitle,orcategory namecouldbedisplayedonthescreen.SiriusXMmayupdatetheinformationatanytime.

Tochangethecurrentdisplayview,shortpresstheDISPbutton.

Whenanewchannelisselected,asongchangeoccurs,SXMsourceisselected(frompower-uporsource change)ortheinformationisupdated,alltheelementswillbedisplayedusingpaging.Thepagingcanbe stoppedbyshortpressingtheDISPbutton.

USBMP3PlayerandUSBDrives.TheUSBMP3playersandUSBdriveconnectedmustcomplywiththe USBMasswiththeUSBMassStoragespecification:

Inthefrontauxiliarymode,youcanplayanexternaldevicesuchasaniPod®orMP3playerviatheauxiliary inputjackonthefrontofthereceiver.

Touseanexternaldevice,simplyconnectthedeviceviatheauxiliaryinputjack.

Frontauxiliarymodewillnotbeavailableifnodeviceisconnectedtotheauxiliaryinputjackonthefrontof thereceiver

RearAuxiliary

Inrearauxiliarymode,youcanplayanexternaldevicethatyouhaveconnectedviathereceiversrearpower auxiliaryinputlines.

Touseanexternaldevice,simplyconnectthedeviceviatheauxiliaryinputjackandselectitusingthesource button.

RearAuxsourcewillbeavailableevenwhennodeviceisattachedtotherearinput.

Bluetooth(IfEquipped)

TheradiocanconnecttoaBluetoothDevice.TousethisfunctionalityyourdevicerequiresBluetoothandto bepairedandconnectedtotheradio.

SupportsmostBluetoothdevices.

Youcanconnectupto10devicestotheradio,theradiowillconnecttothefirstavailablepaireddevice, startingfromthelastpaired/connecteddevice.

TheBluetoothMenuisavailablewhenthePhonebuttonispressedformorethan3seconds.Tonavigate throughit,rotatetheknob.

TheBluetoothMenuconsistsofthefollowingoptions:BTENABLE,CONNECTPH,DISCONNECTPH, ADDPHONE,andDELETEPH(someoptionsareonlyavailablewhenadevicehasbeenpaired previously).

Enabling/DisablingBluetooth

ToEnable/DisableBluetoothinyourRadio(ifitisnotalreadyactivated):

•Pressthephonebuttonformorethan3secondswhiletheRadioisON.TheBluetoothMenuwillbe shown.

•Rotatethevolumeknobuntilthedisplayshows:"BTDisable"or"BTEnable".Pressthevolumeknob toEnableorDisabletheBluetooth.

•PresstheVolumeKnowtoEnableorDisabletheBluetooth.

Whenthedevicewaspreviouslypaired,thePhoneIconwillbeactiveandthearrowiconswillblinkuntilthe reconnectionofthepreviouslypairedphonesisattempted(eachphonewillbeattemptedthreetimes).

PairingaBluetoothDevice

Tocompletepairingthefollowingstepsmustbefollowed:

1.EnableBluetoothontheradioandonthedevice.RefertoyourdevicesManualformoreinformation.

2.PairtheDevicetotheRadio:

PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3secondsTheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.

RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshows:ADDPHONE.

PresstheVolumeKnobtoconfirmtheaction.

TheradiowilldisplayADDINGPHfor3seconds.Inthisdiscoverablemode,theBluetoothstatusiconwill blinkforupto3minutes.Ifnophonewasfound,theradiowilldisplayNOPHFOUNDandthePhoneand arrowsiconwillbedisabled.

Duringthediscoverablemode,setyourcellphonetoaddaBluetoothdeviceandlookforthename"DEA500 RADIO":

•Followtheinstructionsonyourphonetoaddaconnection.Whennecessary,usethe4-numberPIN 0000toconnecttotheradio.

•Whenthecellphonehasbeensuccessfullyadded,theradiowilldisplayPHCONNECTEDandthen theBluetoothdevicename.ThePhoneIconwillbeactiveonthedisplayandthearrowswillbe disabled.

•Whentheradioconnects,theBluetoothiconwillblink.Theblinkingiconsignifiesthatthereceiveris attemptingtodownloadthecellphonesCONTACTS(fortheDIALCONTACTSfunction).Theicon willceasetoblinkifallcontactshavebeendownloadedoriftheradiotimesoutfromreceiving contactsfromthecellphone.Seeyourphonesuserguideformoreinformation.

Note:Ifadeviceisconnectedthroughdifferentsourcesatthesametime,thefunctionalitycannotbe guaranteed(DeviceDependent).Example:DeviceconnectedthroughFrontAuxandBluetoothorUSBand Bluetoothatthesametime.

ConnectingaDevice

Ifyourdevicewaspreviouslypaired,youcansimplyconnecttothedevice:

1.PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3seconds.TheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown

2.RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshowsCONNECTPH.

3.Presstheknobtoconfirmtheaction.SelectthedesiredDevice(rotatetheknobandconfirmby pressingtheknob).TheradiowillshowCONNECTINGfor3seconds.

4.Whentheradioconnects,theradiowilldisplayPHCONNECTEDandtheDeviceFriendlyName,the Bluetoothiconwillblink.Theblinkingiconsignifiesthatthereceiverisattemptingtodownloadthe cellphonesCONTACTS(fortheDIALCONTACTSfunction).Theiconwillceasetoblinkifall contactshavebeendownloadedoriftheradiotimesoutfromreceivingcontactsfromthecellphone device.PhoneIconwillbeactiveonthedisplay.

DisconnectingaDevice

Ifyourdeviceisconnectedandyourequireddisconnectingitfromtheradio,followthenextactions:

1.PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3seconds.TheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.

2.RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshowsDISCONNECTPH.

3.Presstheknobtoconfirmtheaction.TheradiowillshowDISCONNECTPHforashorttime.Once, thePhoneisdisconnectedtheradiowilldisplayDISCONNECTEDandthentheBluetoothdevice name.ThePhoneIconwillbeinactive.

DeletingoneorallDevices

Todeleteadevicefromtheradio,oneoralldevicespreviouslypaired:

1.PressthePhonebuttonformorethan3seconds.TheBluetoothMenuwillbeshown.

2.RotatetheVolumeKnobuntilthedisplayshowsDELETEPH.

3.Presstheknobtoenterthesubmenu.

4.Theradiowillshowadevicelist(navigatethroughitbyrotatingtheknob).Selectthedevicetobe deletedorselectDELETEALLtoeraseallthepaireddevicesinthelistbypressingtheVolumeKnob. TheradiowillshowPHDELETED.

HandsFree/BluetoothFeatures

Onceyourdeviceisproperlypaired(seeParingaBluetoothDevice)andconnected(seeConnectinga Device),theradiosupportsthefollowingHandsFreefeaturesiftheconnecteddevicehashandsfree functionality.

DialMenu

Theradiocanretrievethelastcallsandcontactinformationfromthedevice(HandsFreeprofilemustbe availableinthedeviceandsometimestheactionmustbeacceptedbytheuser).

ThedialmenuisaccessedwhenthedeviceisnotinacallandthePhonebuttonispressed.

Dial/Redial

Theusercanretrievethelastphonenumbercalledandplaceacall.PressthePhonebuttonandthelastphone numbercalledwillbedialed.

QuickDial

Theradiocanstorephonenumbersinanyoftheavailablepresetbuttons.

Tosaveaphonenumber,youcanselectthecontactusingeithertheDIALCONTACTSfeatureortheLAST CALLSfeature.Whenthedesiredcontactphonenumberisdisplayed,pressandholdanyofthePRESET buttonsuntilyouhearabeepconfirmingthephonenumberhasbeensaved.

Todialasavedphonenumber,selectQUICKDIALfromthemenuandrotatetheknobtoselectthe appropriatePRESETnumber.Presstheknobtoplaceacalltosavedphonenumber.

Tochangepresetssimplyrepeattheprocesswiththedesiredphonenumber.Presetsareoverwritten.

DialContact

Theradioisabletoreadanddisplaycellphonecontacts.PressthePhonebuttontoshowtheDIALMENU androtatetheknobuntilDIALCONTACTSisshown,presstheknobtoselectthisfeature.Rotatetheknob toselectbetweenthedifferentstoredcontacts(upto500numbersfromthephoneand250contactsfromthe SIM).PresstheOKbuttonifyouwanttodialtothelistedcontact.

Theradiowilldownloadthefollowingphonenumbersfromeachcontact(ifavailable):HOME,WORK, MOBILE,OTHER,andPREFERRED.Withinthemenuphonenumberswillbedisplayedaseither:H,W, M,O,orPplusthe10-digitnumber(XXXXXXXXXX).

Whenthetransferissuccessful,theradiowillshowtheDIALCONTACTSsubmenu.Eachtimetheradio connectstoyourphone,theDIALCONTACTSsubmenuisupdated,soyoumayneedtorepeatthismanual operationasneeded.

LastCalls

Theradioiscapableoflistingthelast10calls(DIALED,RECEIVEDANDMISSED).Rotatingtheknob willnavigatetheuserthroughtheselectedcalllist.PresstheOKbuttontoplacethecall.

Note:Ifadeviceisconnectedthroughdifferentsourcesatthesametime,thefunctionalitycannotbe guaranteed(DeviceDependent).Example:DeviceconnectedthroughFrontAuxandBluetoothorUSBand Bluetoothatthesametime.

CallOptions

ThefollowingoptionsareavailableduringaHandsFreecall.

AcceptingaCall

Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowillplaytheinbangringtoneifthedevicesupportsthisfeature, otherwiseadefaultringtonewillbeplayed,theusercanadjusttheVolumeoftheringtone,whiletheringtone isplayed.Anyvolumelowerthan13,willnotbeconsideredforthenextincomingcall.Volumeabove13 willbestoredforthenextcall.

Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowilldisplaythename(ifavailable)andnumberofthecaller.To acceptthecall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:Phone,Knob,orNEXT.

RejectingaCall

Whenanincomingcallisreceived,theradiowilldisplaythename(ifavailable)andnumberofthecaller.To rejectthecall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:ESCorPREV.

EndingaCall

WhenaHandsFreecallisinprogress,theradiowilldisplaythecallersnumberandtheelapsedtime.Toend acall,pressanyofthefollowingradiobuttons:Phone,ESC,orPREV.

MicrophoneMute

WhenaHandsFreecallisinprogress,pressingPause/Playwillmutetheradiosmicrophone.Pressagainto deactivatemute.

BluetoothMicrophone

ProcedurefortroubleshootingtheBluetoothCabMicrophonewhentheotherpartiescallreceptionaudiois unclear.

Therearecommonconditionsthatcanaffecttheaudiovolumeofacallreceiverthatisnotthemachine operator.

1.TheUParrow(1)oftheBluetoothMicrophoneshouldalwaysbepointeduporawayfromthe operator.(SeeIllustration7)

2.Ifnot,attempttoremoveandrotatethemicrophoneandseeifthisimprovestheaudiovolumeofthe otherparty.

Iftheaudiodoesnotimprovebyspeakingclosertothemicrophone,thenitispossiblethecellwasnot pickedupbytheradio.Testforaudioimprovementbytalkingintothecellphonemicrophone.

TheBluetoothMicrophoneisnotwireless,alsochecktomakesurethattheharnessisintactandconnectedto theEntertainmentRadio.

Note:SomeBluetoothcapabilitiesarenotavailableinallcountries.Contactthedesigncontrolforalistof unregulatedregions.

CallTransfer

Ifacallisinprogress,presstheradioPhonebuttonformorethan3secondstotransferthecalltothecell phoneforprivateconversations.RepeatthisprocessifyouwanttoreturntoHandsFreemodeagain.

BluetoothCallOutput

ProcedurefortroubleshootingtheEntertainmentRadiosettingsfornoaudiooutput.

BluetoothcallsareonlyaudibleovertheFrontLeftspeakeroutput.Thespeakeritselfcouldbebehindthe operator.ThisisassumingthephoneisproperlypairedwiththeradiooverBluetoothalready.Refertothe Owner’sManualprovidedwiththeEntertainmentRadioforassistancewithsetupandpairingofaBluetooth device.

TherearethreecommonsetupsthatcanaffectBluetoothcallsbeingheardoverthecabspeakers.The EntertainmentRadiospeakerbalancesetting,thecabwiring,andcallvolumeoftheradioorcellphone.

1.FirstchecktheBalancesettingstomakesurethattheyaresetto0.(SeeIllustration8)

2.WiththeignitionturnedtotheONpositionandtheradioturnedON,pressthevolumeknobfor2 secondsorlongertogettotheAudioControlMenu.

3.ThefirstitemthatisdisplayedisBass1/8.AdjustthevolumeknobuntilBalance5/8isseen.

4.PressthevolumeknobtoselecttheBalanceoptionwhenitisdisplayed.IftheBalanceshowsany othersettingsthan0,adjustthevolumeknobclockwiseorcounter-clockwiseuntilBalance0is displayed.Thenpressthevolumeknobagaintoconfirmtheselection.

5.Waitforthemenutotimeoutbeforeadjustinganyothersettings.Theradiowillgototheprevious mediasettingbeforethemenuwasentered.
