AfterStarting

NOTICE

Oilpressureshouldregisterimmediately.Theneedleshouldbeinthe whiterangeduringlowidlespeed,andbeinGREENrangeathighidle speed.Ifitisnot,shutengineOFFanddeterminecause.

Observeaircleanerserviceindicator.Pushreleasebutton.IfREDpistonremainsin,orreturnsto,the visibleposition,haveaircleanerserviced.

Operateengineunderlightloadfor5minutes.

Observegaugesfrequentlyduringoperation.AllgaugesmustindicateintheNORMALoperating range.Theammeterisnormalwhentheindicatorisat,orslightlytotherightofzero.

BeforeStarting

Walk-AroundInspection

Foryourownsafety,andmaximumservicelifeofthemachine,athoroughwalk-aroundinspection shouldbemadebeforemountingthemachinetostarttheengine.Inspectaroundandundermachine forsuchitemsasloosebolts,trashbuild-up,lubricant,fuelorcoolantleaks,andconditionoftrack andimplements.

1.Inspectenginecompartmentforfuel,oilorcoolantleaks.ifanyleaksarefound,correctcauseand cleanenginecompartment.

2.Openaccessdoorinhood.Measureengineoillevel.OillevelmustbeintheSAFESTARTING RANGEonENGINESTOPPEDSIDEofdipstick.

3.Checkcoolantlevel.Maintaincoolanttowithin1/2inch(1cm)ofthebottomofthefillpipe.

4.Observehydraulictankoillevel.OilshouldbeaboveADDmarkinsightgauge.

5.Openaccessdoor.Maintaintransmission,steeringclutchoilleveltotheFULLmarkondipstick.

6.Observeaircleanerserviceindicator.Servicefilterelement,ifREDindicatorislockedinthe visibleposition.

7.Openaccessdoor.MaintaintransmissionoilleveltoFULLmarkondipstick(A).

8.MaintainbevelgearandsteeringclutchoilleveltoFULLmarkondipstick(B).Closeaccessdoor.

9.FuellevelshouldbetoFULLmarkondipstick.

10.Openaccessdoorandturnvalvetodrainwaterandsedimentfromfueltank.

Adjustseattoallowfullbrakepedaltravelwithoperator'sbackagainst seatback.Thiswillpermitapplicationofmaximumforceonbrake pedal.

ALWAYScheckconditionofseatbeltandALWAYSfastenseatbelt beforestartingmachine.Keepitfastenedduringoperation.

Controls

(1)BrakePedalDepressservicebraketostopmachine,ortoslowmachineandkeepenginefrom overspeedingonadowngrade.

(2)GovernorLeverThegovernorlevercontrolsfuelflowtotheengine.Thefartherthegovernor leverispulledbacktowardtheoperator,thehighertheengineRPM.

Pullleverbackpastdetenttostartengine.PullallthewaybackforfullengineRPM.

Pushgovernorlevertodetentforlowidle-continuetopushallthewayforwardtoshutoffengine.

(3)TransmissionSelectorLeverReleaseTRANSMISSIONNEUTRALLOCKANDPARKING BRAKELOCKlever.TRANSMISSIONSELECTORlevermaythenbemovedtoforwardorreverse speeds.

SteeringClutchandBrakeControlsTherearetwosteeringclutchandbrakepedalcontrols.The oneontheoperator'srightcontrolstherightsteeringclutchandbrake,theoneontheleftcontrolsthe leftsteeringclutchandbrake.

Pushproperpedaldowntosteerrightorleft.Pushproperpedalallthewaydownforrightorleft brakecontrol.

AlwaysengageTransmissionNeutralLockandBrakeLockLeverafter stoppingengine.Thebrakeswillnotbeapplieduntiltheleveris engaged.

TransmissionNeutralLockandParkingBrakeLockLeverPushleverdowntolocktransmission inNEUTRALandENGAGEparkingbrake.

PulluptoRELEASEparkingbrakeandunlocktransmissioncontrollever.

BucketLiftControlLever

(1)FloatPositionWhenleverispushedallthewayFORWARDintodetent,thebucketwillbein FLOAT.Inthispositionthebucketwilllowertothegroundandmoveupanddown,following groundvariations.

Leverwillremaininfloatposition(detent)untilmanuallyreleasedbypullingoutofdetentposition. LeverwillthenreturntoHOLDposition.

NOTICE

DonotmovelevertoFLOATpositionwithbucketraised.

(2)LowerPositionPushleverforwardfromHOLDpositiontolowerbucket.Whenleverisreleased, theleverwillreturntoHOLDposition.

(3)HoldPositionLeverwillreturntoHOLDpositionwhenreleasedfromeitherRAISEorLOWER positions.

(4)RaisePositionPullleverbacktowardoperatortoRAISEbucket.Releaselevertostoplifting bucket.LeverwillreturntoHOLDposition.

BucketTiltLever

BucketTiltBackPosition(1)PullleverbacktowardoperatorforTILTBACKposition.Whenlever isreleasedbucketwillreturntopresetposition,thenleverwillreturntoHOLD.

BucketHoldPosition(2)WhenleverisreleaseditwillreturntotheHOLDposition,andbucketwill remaininpositionitwaswhenleverwasreleased.

BucketDumpPosition(3)PushleverforwardfromHOLDpositiontoDUMPpositionwhenleveris releaseditwillreturntoHOLDposition,andbucketwillremaininDUMPposition.

BucketQuickDumpPosition(4)PushleverforwardpasttheDUMPpositionforQUICKDUMP position.LeverwillreturntoHOLDpositionwhenreleased,andbucketwillremaininDUMP position.

TopClamp(LogorLumberfork)Lever(A)

OpenClampPosition(1)PushauxiliaryleverforwardforCLAMPOPENposition.Whenreleased, leverwillreturntoHOLDposition,andclampforkswillremainopen.

HoldClampPosition(2)LeverandclampswillremaininHOLDpositionuntilmovedtoeither CLOSEorOPENposition.

CloseClampPosition(3)PullauxiliaryleverbackforCLOSECLAMPposition.Whenreleased, leverwillreturntoHOLDposition,andclampforkswillremaininpositiontheywereinwhenlever wasreleased.

LeverRipperControlLever(B)

RipperRaisePosition(1)Pulllever,totheleft,towardoperatortoraiseripper.Releaseleverandit willreturntoHOLDposition,andripperwillremaininpositionitwasinwhenleverwasreleased.

RipperHoldPosition(2)LeverandripperwillremaininHOLDpositionsuntilleverismovedto eitherRAISEorLOWERpositions.

RipperLowerPosition(3)Pushlevertotheright,awayfromoperatorandripperwilllower.Release leveranditwillreturntoHOLDposition,andripperwillremaininpositionitwasinwhenleverwas released.

SideDumpBucketLever

Attachmentbucketandforkscanbetiltedforwardandbackinadditiontotheirspecialmovements.

TipSideDumpPosition(1)PushauxiliaryleverFORWARDforSIDEDUMPposition.When released,leverwillreturntoHOLDposition,butbucketwillstayinposition.

2.MoveliftcontroltoRAISE.Ifleverdoesnotkickoutwhenliftcylinderreacheswithin.2±.1inch (5±3mm)ofmaximumtravel,adjustmentisnecessary.

3.Lowerbucketandstopengine.Removeaccessplateretainingbolts,removeplate.

4.Loosenlocknut(A).Turnrod(B)into,oroutofclevis,toprovidethecorrectpositionoflift cylinderattimeofkick-out.Tightenlocknut.

5.Totestadjustment:StartengineandlockliftcontrolinRAISEposition.

6.Atpre-setliftheight,controllevershouldreturntoHOLD.Closeandsecureaccessplate.

BucketPositioner

Totestadjustment:Startengine,raiseanddumpbucket.MovetiltcontroltoTILTBACKposition.

Whenpre-setbucketangleisreached,controlleverwillreturntoHOLD.Lowerbucketandcheck cuttingangle.

1.Positionbucketatdesiredangletoground.Stopengine.

2.Loosenclampboltorbolts.

3.Moverodbackuntilroller(A)beginstorolluponrod(B).Tightenboltorboltsonclamp.

4.Checkadjustment. Track
