1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (1). The weight of aftercooler (1) is approximately 25 kg (56 lb).
2. Install aftercooler (5). Install bolts (4) to each end of aftercooler (5). Install bolts (2) and (3).

Start By:
A. Remove the cooling package. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Radiator Guard and Support, Aftercooler, Hydraulic Oil Cooler, and Radiator - Remove".

1. Attach Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to aftercooler (1). The weight of aftercooler (1) is approximately 25 kg (56 lb).
2. Remove bolts (2) and (3). Remove bolts (4) from each end of aftercooler (5). Remove aftercooler (5) .

Note: Put identification marks on all lines, on all hoses, on all wires, and on all tubes for installation purposes.
1. Turn the battery disconnect switch into the OFF position. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Battery Disconnect Switch".

5. Remove clips (8) and (9). Disconnect cable assemblies (7) and (10). Remove nuts (11) and (12). Remove bracket (13). Remove battery (14) .

6. Disconnect cable assemblies (15), (16), (17), (18), and (19). Remove bolts (23) and block (24). Remove nuts (20) and bracket (21). Remove battery (22) .

1. Install battery (22). Install bracket (21) and nuts (20). Install block (24) and bolts (23). Connect cable assemblies (15), (16), (17), (18), and (19) .

2. Install battery (14). Install bracket (13). Install nuts (11) and (12). Install clips (8) and (9). Connect cable assemblies (7) and (10) .

Installation Procedure

1. Install electric starting motor (8) and bolts (7). Connect cable assembly (10) and install bracket (9). Connect harness assembly (6).

Note: Cleanliness is an important factor. Before assembly, all parts should be thoroughly cleaned in cleaning fluid. Allow the parts to air dry. Wiping cloths or rags should not be used to dry parts. Lint may be deposited on the parts which may cause later trouble. Inspect all parts. If any parts are worn or damaged, use new parts for replacement.

1. Use Tooling (A) and a suitable lifting device to position engine (22) on the machine. The weight of engine (22) is approximately 817 kg (1800 lb).
