ThereareseveralspecificsafetymessagesonthesemachinesthatareaddedfortheJapanese regulations.Thelocationofthemessagesandthedescriptionofthemessagesarereviewedinthis section.Becomefamiliarizedwithallsafetymessages.

Ensurethatallofthesafetymessagesarelegible.Cleanthesafetymessagesorreplacethesafety messagesifyoucannotreadthewords.Replacethefilmsiftheillustrationsarenotlegible.Whenyou cleanthesafetymessages,useacloth,water,andsoap.Donotusesolvent,gasoline,orotherharsh chemicalstocleanthesafetymessages.Solvents,gasoline,orharshchemicalscouldloosenthe adhesivethatsecuresthesafetymessage.Looseadhesivewillallowthesafetymessagetofall.

Carryaloadedbucketlowsothattheoperatorhasgoodvisibilityandsothatthemachinehasgood stability.

Cleantheworkareaduringwaitingperiodsandleveltheworkareaduringwaitingperiods.

Maintaintractionbyavoidingexcessivedownwardpressureonthebucket.

Travelinreversewhenyoucarryaloaddownasteepincline.Travelforwardwhenyougouphill.

Whenyouareworkinginhardmaterial,usebucketteethorbolt-oncuttingedges.

Makesurethatthebucketthatisbeingusedisappropriatefortheworkthatisbeingperformed. Exceedingthemachinelimitswillreducetheservicelifeofthemachine.

Bulldozing

Keepthebottomofthebucketparalleltothegroundwhenyouarebulldozing.

Dumping

Tocontroldumping,movethetiltcontrollevertotheDUMPposition.Then,returnthetiltcontrol levertotheHOLDposition.Repeatthisprocedureuntilthebucketisempty.

Dumpthebucketwhenthewindismovingtowardthefrontofthemachine.Thiswillhelptokeep dustawayfromtheengine.Thiswillalsohelptomaintainvisibility.

Toachievethemaximumanglefordumping,usethebucketstops.

NOTICE

Strikingthestopsunnecessarilyandrepetitivelycanresultin acceleratedwearandhighmaintenancecostoftheloaderlinkage.

ExcavatingwithBucket

1.Lowerthebuckettotheground.Positionthebucketforaslightdiggingangle.

2.Applydownwardpressuretothebucketastheloaderstartsforward.Returntheliftleverto HOLDwhensufficientpenetrationisobtained.

3.Maintainlevelcutswhileyoumoveforwardbyraisingthebucketandloweringthebucket.

4.Whenthebucketisloaded,tiltthebucketbackwardagainstthestops.Carrytheloadedbucket forapproximately40cm(15inch)abovethegroundwhenyoumovetothedumparea.

Excavatinglargerocksorfirmhardmaterialuntiltherearofthe machinerisesupappliesgreatforceontheloaderlinkageandareasof thechassis.Repeatingsuchoperationanexcessiveamountwillresultin bendingortearingoftheloaderlinkageorthechassis,andincrease repaircosts.

Usingthecornerofabuckettoexcavatelargerocksorfirmhard materialappliesunevenforceontheloaderlinkage.Repeatingsuch

operationanexcessiveamountwillresultinbendingortearingofthe loaderlinkage,andincreaserepaircosts.

LoadingwithaBucketfromaStockpile

1.Positionthebucketparalleltotheground.Thebucketshouldbarelyskimtheground.Drivethe bucketstraightintothepile.

2.MovethebucketliftlevertothedetentedRAISEpositionastheforwardmovementslows. ReturnthebucketliftlevertotheHOLDpositionforadditionalcrowdingpower.

3.Toloadaheapedload,operatethebuckettiltleverbackandforth.Thisactioniscalled pumping.

4.Whenthebucketisloaded,movethebuckettiltlevertotheTILTBACKposition.

5.WhenthebuckettiltleverisreleasedtotheHOLDposition,thebucketwillrise.

6.Raisethebuckethighinordertopassoverthematerialthatisbeingloaded.Shiftthe transmissionintoREVERSE.

7.Carrytheloadedbucketapproximately40cm(15inches)abovethegroundlevel.

8.Whenyoureachthedumparea,movethebucketliftlevertothedetentedRAISEposition.The liftkickoutwillautomaticallyreturnthebucketliftlevertotheHOLDposition.

1.Toreducetheloaderturningandthetraveldistance,positionthehaulingunitatanangletothe materialthatisbeingloaded.

2.Thetraveldistanceshouldbelongenoughsothatthebucketcanreachtheliftheightwithout slowingthemovementoftheloader.

3.Positiontheloaderinordertodumptheloadinthecenterofthehaulingunitbody.Ifthelength ofthehaulingunitbodyistwotimesthelengthofthebucket,loadthematerialintothehauling unitbodyfromthefronttotherear.

4.Pushthebuckettiltleverforwardinordertodumptheloadfromthebucket.

5.Shakethebucketinordertoloosenstickymaterial.Movethebuckettiltleverbackandforthin quickmotions.Allowthetiltarmstostrikethestops.
