Air Cleaner - Remove and Install

1. Tilt the radiator. Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "Radiator Tilting".

2. Disconnect harnessassembly (1) .

3. Release clamps (2). Remove cover (3) for the air cleaner.

4. Remove primary air cleaner (4) and secondary air cleaner (5) .

5. Remove bolt (6) and move fuse (7) out of the way.

6. Loosen clamp (8) and disconnect hose (9). Remove bolts (10) and remove air cleaner housing (11) .

1. Install air cleaner housing (11) and install bolts (10). Connect hose (9) and tighten clamp (8) .

2. Move fuse (7) into position and install bolt (6) .

3. Install secondary air cleaner (5) and install primary air cleaner (4) .

4. Install cover (3) for the air cleaner. Secure clamps (2) .

5. Connect harness assembly (1) .

Alternator - Remove and Install

Removal Procedure
Start By:
A. Disconnect the battery. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Battery and Battery CableSeparate and Connect".
Note: The muffler has been removed for clarity.

1. Remove bolts (1) and remove cover (2) .

2. Disconnect harnessassembly (3). Raise the boot and disconnect harnessassembly (4) .

3. Loosen bolts (5) and (8). Remove belt (6) and remove alternator (7) .
Installation Procedure

1. Install alternator (7). Install belt (6). Refer to Operation and Maintenance Manual, "BeltInspect/Adjust/Replace" for more information. Tighten bolts (5) and (8) .

2. Connect harness assembly (3). Raise the boot and connect harnessassembly (4) .
3. Install cover (2) and install bolts (1) .

Battery and Battery Cable - Separate and Connect

Removal Procedure
1. disconnect negative battery cable (4) .
2. Disconnect positive battery cable (1) .

Cab - Tilt

Procedure to Tilt the Cab
Start By:
A. Release the hydraulic system pressure. Refer to Disassembly and Assembly, "Hydraulic System Pressure - Release".
Do not go beneath cab unlesscabisempty and support lever is engaged.
Failure to follow the instructionsor heed the warnings could result in injury or death.
Note: Empty the water tank (if equipped) before you tilt the cab.

Note: Bolt (1) will be retained in the cab.

2. Remove nut (2) and large washer (3) from the inside of the cab.
3. Repeat Steps 1 and 2 on the opposite side of the cab.

Lower Procedure

1. Tilt the cab upward.
2. Disengage cab support lever (5) .
3. Lower cab (4) .

Note: Ensure that the large washer isbetween the nut and the rubber mounting.
5. Install large washer (3) and nut (2) from the inside of the cab. Tighten the nuts to a torque of 125 ± 10 N·m (92 ± 7 lb ft).
6. Repeat Steps 4 and 5 on the opposite side of the cab.
