The grounds of Queensland's Government House estate - also known as Fernberg - are an important sanctuary for flora and fauna (including 55 bird species outlined in this publication), and are a rare example of remnant Australian bushland close to Brisbane CBD. Fernberg has been the official residence of Queensland Governors since 1910.
