The night the water crept under Marleny’s door, she wondered if she had made the worst decision of her life.
All she wanted was a chance to support her family, but to do so she had to leave her husband behind temporarily to find work. Her time away was anything but easy—she found herself alone in an unfamiliar city, facing challenges she didn’t know how to overcome.
The small room she rented flooded when it rained. Her health was failing, and money was scarce. It felt like she had run out of options.
Then Marleny remembered her cousin—someone who had walked through similar struggles but had found real hope in Jesus.
Because of your support, gospel workers were there
Around that time, Marleny’s cousin’s church was hosting a series of Bible presentations led by QHM gospel workers. Marleny decided to attend, not knowing her life was about to change.
After one of the meetings, the local pastor visited her home. Soon Marleny and several members of her extended family began studying the Bible every two weeks.
As she opened Scripture, she began noticing unexpected changes—improvements in her health, a sense of peace, and blessings she hadn’t noticed before. God was moving.
