OUR STORY
Just outside of San Miguel lies a pastoral getaway — a landscape that captured the hearts of founders Holly Houston-Ortiz and Mario Ortiz more than twenty years ago. Lured by the location, innate beauty and unending space, Holly and Mario envisioned a peaceful country estate — the ideal home to nurture their daughter Olivia’s love of riding and nature.
Over time, they transformed the property around the native flora, like the indigenous prickly pear cactus and the centuries-old mesquite trees rooted in the soil, in an active effort to honor the alma (spirit) of the land, creating a serene countryside escape where connection with nature is everything.

Inspired by a passion to share the ranch experience with others, in 2024 the Ortiz family partnered with The Querencia Group (QCabo.com) to enhance and elevate their original vision and today are united to create a luxury, private ranch community and club.
Known for successfully developing Querencia, the premier private golf and beach club community in Los Cabos (Mexico), The Querencia Group brings more than 45 years of experience in high-end real estate development, including successful projects in Palm Beach County (Florida), Kauai (Hawaii) and Winter Park (Colorado). Set the tone for your day with a pajarete — a traditional ranch-style “cowboy coffee” blended with cocoa, fresh goat milk and, if you’d like — a splash of tequila. The timehonored pajarete tradition is rooted in the rural countryside of Mexican pueblos and has long served as both an energizing start to the day and a moment of camaraderie among ranchers and farmhands.
