Traffic Management
CAMPUS ROAD RULES
• The College is protected under the Inclosed Lands Protection Act 1901 (NSW) and may legally refuse entry to any individual/s and/or their vehicle/s at any time.
• Drivers must obey College speed limits and road safety signs at all times.
• Do not overtake on College roads.
• Do not park on or near pedestrian crossings.
• College parking is not to be used as commuter parking under any circumstances.
DROP-OFF ZONES
Students should be dropped off and picked up in the following zones ONLY:
• Kindergarten to Year 2 – Lower Road.
• Years 3 and 4 and Middle School – Main Oval side of Flagpole Lawn.
• Years 5 and 6 – Centenary Car Park.
• Upper and Senior Schools – Centenary Car Park.
PICK-UP ZONES
• Kindergarten to Year 2 – Lower Road
• Out of School Hours Care (OSHC) – Centenary Car Park
• Years 3 and 4 and Middle School – Main Oval side of Flagpole Lawn
• Years 5 and 6 – Centenary Car Park
• Upper and Senior Schools – Centenary Car Park.
All drivers must abide by the following rules within these zones:
•For the safety of students, staff and parents, drivers and adult passengers must remain within their vehicle while in any drop-off or pick-up zone.
•Students must enter and exit the vehicle on the passenger side (left-hand side) of the vehicle and are not permitted to walk between motor vehicles at any time.
•Students must have their bags and belongings with them in the passenger seats and not go to the car boot.
• You may not drop off or pick up on Avon Road near Gate 2 or 3. Please use the designated zone inside Centenary car park for the safety and wellbeing of pedestrians, and to ease traffic congestion.
•If you wish to walk your daughter from your car, please park in the surrounding streets and walk in to the College.
•Vehicles must not stop, park, drop off, or pick up at boom gates or staff carparks - please use designated zones.
• Tailgating through boom gates is strictly prohibited.
•Parents and students are not permitted to access Gate 2 by vehicle or on foot. This gate is reserved for staff parking and bus access only.
STUDENT DRIVERS
• Learner drivers are not permitted in and/or on College roadways.
• Senior School students wishing to drive to school may do so with the permission of their parents. We request student drivers register their vehicle details with the Senior School office in case they need to be contacted during the day. Students should not drive other students to school without obtaining parental permission for both driver and passengers.
• Students must not park their vehicles on College grounds and should park on the College side of Avon Road near Gate 3, obeying all street parking restrictions.
Parking
CENTENARY CAR PARK
Entry is via Gate 3. There 232 spaces and a large drop-off and pick-up zone. Some spaces are reserved for Learn to Swim and Early Years School. This carpark is reserved for staff parking only Monday to Friday 7.00am to 4.00pm.
STAFF ONLY PARKING AREAS
These car park areas are for staff only:
• Junior School (Gate 1)
• Kelso (Gate 2)
• Conde Library (Gate 3)
• Outside the GMCPA.
Please do not park in reserved car spaces. We will make these spaces available to the community when appropriate.
BEHIND FLAGPOLE LAWN
The College side of Flagpole Lawn continues to be a mixture of spaces for allocated staff, College Board and visitors. Please do not park in reserved car spaces.
