Danisense extends range of DN1000ID current transducers
In response to a key customer requirement, Danisense has expanded its DN1000ID current transducer product family with the introduction of the new DN1000ID-CP02 model.
The DN1000ID-CP02 current transducer features a signifcantly increased creepage and clearance distance of 38mm, compared with 11mm for the standard DN1000ID version. In addition, the permissible voltage for uninsulated cables has been raised from 1000V to 3200V. As system voltages continue to rise across a wide range of applications, these enhancements make the new device particularly well suited for power measurement and power analysis in EV chargers, power inverters, and battery energy storage systems.
Additional target applications include EV test benches, particle accelerators, MRI systems and medical scanners, battery testing and evaluation equipment, current calibration systems, and other precision current-sensing applications.

Toshiba launches high-speed colour CCD linear image sensor
Toshiba Electronics Europe introduces the TCD2400DG, a new lens reduction type CCD linear image sensor designed to meet the demanding requirements of modern optical inspection equipment. The new sensor features 4096 elements with a 7µm pitch and is intended for use in line scan cameras, which are essential for high-speed, highprecision inspection tasks such as colour sorting in food processing and quality control in industrial manufacturing.
The TDC2400DG supports a maximum data rate of 100MHz (50MHz master clock frequency x 2 channels). With a maximum line rate of 22.7kHz, the new sensor achieves more than twice the readout speed of Toshiba’s previous model, the TCD2564DG. This signifcant performance boost enables inspection systems to process massive volumes of image data rapidly, supporting the precise and accurate identifcation of fast-moving objects.

For decades, rainfall measurement has relied on mechanical tipping bucket gauges. While trusted, these systems are prone to clogging, mechanical drift (requiring frequent calibration for reliable data), and under-counting during high-intensity rainfall, leading to maintenance demands and data uncertainty when accuracy matters most.
Gill’s TruMet PW100 Optical Rain Gauge is meticulously engineered to overcome these long-standing challenges, ensuring true reliability and precision.
The TruMet PW100 uses a solid-state optical measurement principle rather than mechanical collection. LEDs (light-emitting diodes) create a beam of light across a defned sensing area, and a receiver monitors interruptions in the beam caused by rainfall.
By analysing the size and velocity of droplets, the system accurately measures rainfall accumulation and flters out non-ra in interference, such as insects or debris.
With no moving parts, collection funnel, or tipping mechanism, the infrared optical rain gauge delivers accuracy equal to that of traditional tipping buckets, but without the mechanical parts that can fail, reducing maintenance and long-term costs.
