June in Milton Keynes is anything but quiet – and we wouldn’t have it any other way. From twilight walks for powerful causes to adrenaline-charged performances and cultural highlights, this month is made for stepping out. And what better way to begin than with the return of the Midnight Moo? Willen Hospice’s biggest fundraiser takes place on Friday 20 June, now starting from Middleton Hall at centre:mk. Whether it’s five miles or the full ten, this moonlit walk is a striking show of support – and proof of how deeply this city stands together. Over 1,200 took part last year. Let’s beat it. That collective spirit continues right through the season, especially with IF: Milton Keynes International Festival, running 18–27 July. Expect spectacle, surprises and standout performances across the city. Meanwhile, MK Pride returns to Campbell Park on 13 September, with Nadine Coyle headlining. It’s free, fabulous and utterly unforgettable. Elsewhere this issue, Sammy Jones looks inside Milton Keynes University Hospital
