TEXAS VOTERS APPROVE CREATION OF TEXAS ENERGY FUND With voter approval for the creation of the Texas Energy Fund (TEF) last month, the PUCT is busy building a new bank in the agency. The Texas Legislature directed the PUCT to create the TEF, contingent upon voter approval, with passage of the Powering Texas Forward Act in Senate Bill 2627 during the 88th Regular Legislative Session. TEXAS ADVANCED NUCLEAR REACTOR WORKING GROUP GETS TO WORK
PUCT Commissioner Jimmy Glotfelty announced the members of the Texas Advanced Nuclear Reactor Working Group on Oct. 10, 2023. The working group was established on Aug. 16, 2023 at the direction of Governor Greg Abbott and is working to evaluate how advanced nuclear reactors can provide safe, reliable, and affordable power in Texas.
