Who is Christian Cox and what drivesyourdailyroutine?
I am a stickler for rules. My day starts at 6:30 every morning when I prepare five different hot drinks for my wife and children, walkthedogandhitthegym.My core business is developing properties in central London, a career I have focused on for the past15yearsfollowingan11-year stintclimbingtheladderofoneof the most aggressive estate agenciesoftheday.
When did you first think you wanttowriteabook?
I'm living proof that there is a bookineverybody.Mygripofthe language is not a hundred percent. I was never a big book reader and only read some texts at school because I had to, but I hadzerointerestatthetime.The ideahasbeeninmeforfiveorsix years because so many people saidthe drama andstoriesof my estate agency needed to be documented in a book. It was a de
decade of halcyon days where we were caricatures of business and vicious to our colleagues to reach the top. What you didn't see was the absolute hard work, grit and determination behind it. It was a truly golden age of estate agency when we went from being ultra sleepy to disrupting the market in a beautifulway.
Thetitleistwofold.Itisaboutthe property agency and a main character called Agent C. The story captures the journey of moving to the big city with very little and becoming successful enough to buy his first property. Thebookisfiction,butitoutlines a whole sales process that is applicable to every sales environment, so individuals can learn from it. Even as a consumer, you can begin to recognize these sales levels and know exactly how to deal with them. All my chapters have a soundtrack of '80s, '90s and early2000ssoftrock. You've called it Agency. Tell us aboutthebook.

amazing achievement. All the profitsfromthebookaregoingto two charities, MND Charity and CLIC Sargent. I was inspired because I lost a very important friend who told me I would eventually write a book about what we all did. My wife still laughsatthefactthatI'vewritten a book and people are buying it. So it's a huge amount of pride andsatisfaction.
Whatdoyouhopeistheimpact ofyourbook?
Ihopepeopleenjoythebookand see behind the outer casing of the industry. While it is easy to chastise estate agents, I want people to see what happens behind the scenes including the sweat,theblood,thepassion,the caringandthecamaraderie.
