Welcome to the Lone Tree Arts Center! We’re grateful to have you with us. The arts bring people together, and creating a welcoming, safe, and enjoyable environment is a shared responsibility. Our staff and volunteers are here to help your visit run smoothly, and we ask all patrons to do their part by following the policies and procedures below, as well as the Patron Code of Conduct posted throughout the Arts Center. Thank you for helping make LTAC a place where everyone can enjoy the arts.

Front of House Staﬀ: Our House Managers are responsible for the overall front-of-house operation. Ushers (dressed in white and black with green scarves/ties) can direct patrons who have questions or concerns to the House Manager. In the Event of an Emergency: Please take a moment to locate the exit nearest to you. House Managers and ushers will provide directions should an emergency arise. The theater is equipped with emergency lighting if a loss of power occurs. Should an evacuation be necessary, please exit through the front theater doors and the front of the building unless instructed otherwise.

Electronic Devices: Cell phones and

other noise making devices may not be used in the theater. Please silence or turn your cell phone off at the beginning of the performance.

Photos and Videos: The taking of photos and videos during a performance may violate our contract with the performers and producers. Please listen carefully to the pre-show announcement to determine if videos and photos are allowed. If photos and videos are not permitted by request of the artist, you will be asked to put away your camera. Flash photography is never permitted. Restrooms: Restrooms are located in the center of the lobby near the front entrance, as well as on the north side of the lobby near the north entrance, across from the Event Hall. Single-stall, gender neutral restrooms are located on the north side of the lobby. Refreshments: Food is not allowed

in the theater. Drinks purchased at our concessions stand are permitted in the theater. At most performances, you may pre-order a drink to avoid intermission lines.

Assistive Listening: An inductive hearing loop is installed in the Main Stage Theater. The loop system broadcasts directly into hearing aids that are equipped with a Tele-Coil switch (or tele-coil or telephone switch). For hearing aids with a T-coil switch, simply turn that switch and sound is broadcast directly to the hearing aid. For hearing aids without a Tele-Coil switch, wireless headset receivers are also available free of charge at the Box Office. A LEGEND COMES TO LIFE IN

Always...Patsy Cline after a performance in Houston, Texas. What began as a chance encounter blossomed into an unlikely friendship filled with handwritten letters, laughter, shared stories, and genuine affection. Patsy Cline’s own story is every bit as compelling as the music she left behind. Born Virginia Patterson Hensley in Winchester, Virginia, she possessed a powerful voice from an early age and spent years performing on local radio before breaking into the national spotlight. Her 1957 hit “Walkin’ After Midnight” introduced audiences to a singer who effortlessly blended traditional country with the emerging Nashville Sound, helping country music reach new mainstream audiences. Certain voices have the power to define an entire genre. For country music, that voice belongs to Patsy Cline. More than sixty years after her passing, Cline’s recordings continue to inspire artists across every generation. Songs like “Crazy,” “Walkin’ After Midnight,” “I Fall to Pieces,” “Sweet Dreams,” and “She’s Got You” have become timeless standards—performed by everyone from country superstars to pop artists who admire the emotional honesty and unmistakable richness of her voice. Yet Always...Patsy Cline isn’t simply a concert or biography. Based on a true story, the musical depicts the remarkable friendship between Patsy Cline and Louise Seger, a devoted fan who met the singer

Her career continued to soar with recordings like “I Fall to Pieces” and the now-classic “Crazy,” written by a young Willie Nelson. At a time when female country artists often struggled for recognition, Cline became one of the genre’s first crossover superstars, earning admiration from fellow musicians for both her extraordinary talent and her willingness to mentor younger performers. Tragically, her life was cut short in 1963 when she was killed in a plane crash at just thirty years old. Though her career lasted only a few short years, her influence has endured for decades. She became one of the first female performers inducted into the Country Music Hall of Fame, and her recordings continue to resonate with audiences around the world.

Bringing this beloved musical to life at the Lone Tree Arts Center are two of Colorado’s most celebrated performers.

The answers are direct and simple: faith, friendship, respect, and love of music. From their exceptional Christmas Show, to their innovative Symphony show, these qualities are at the heart of the Take 6 phenomenon. Clint Holmes Like a painter with a blank canvas, he makes every performance an original. His powerful voice and magnetic stage presence embrace the upbeat side of life. When Clint is on stage, anything can happen, and usually does. Holmes, best known for his silky vocal stylings, has also honed his many other talents, which include dancing and a warm comedic touch. Perhaps Clint picked up that comedy know-how from the everpopular Bill Cosby, with whom he shared a stage. “I learned a lot from Don (Rickles) and Bill who were both very generous with me when I opened for them”, said Holmes. “They never held me back or limited my time on stage. I particularly learned a jazz comedian riffling style from the two of them.” Holmes comes by his tremendous talent naturally. His father is an African-American jazz musician and his mother is a classically trained opera singer from Great Britain. Clint admits it was the best of two musical worlds. “My mom taught me how to sing correctly, and my dad taught me how to enjoy it.” Casual elegance describes Clint’s presence on stage. He has a magical way of filling a room with a warm, comfortable sound. Clint’s musical selections range from contemporary to classic, with jazz and opera thrown into the mix. In addition, he has an energy and passion for life and performing that are infectuous. He exudes pure joy when he sings. Having spent more than 20 years performing, Holmes has served as Joan Rivers’ sidekick and announcer on The Late Show, as the musical feature and event correspondent for Entertainment Tonight, and as the host of his own Emmy award-winning talk/variety show. Holmes freely admits, though, that he loves nothing more than performing before a live audience. He released a DVD of his live performance at the Clint Holmes Theater at Harrah’s, which debuted nationwide via IN DEMAND on July 7, 2001. In 2006, his PBS special of his Las Vegas act was aired nationwide. PBS filmed three acts in Las Vegas for airing recently and along with Barry Manilow and Andrea Boccelli, Mr. Holmes found himself in great company. Since moving to Las Vegas, Clint has quickly become a favorite in the Las Vegas community as well as a major star in the entertainment arena. He was selected as “Best Kept Secret” by Las Vegas Life Magazine, and “Best Singer” (two years in a row), “Best All-Around Las Vegas Performer,” and “Favorite Male Las Vegan” by the Las Vegas Review-Journal. Additionally, he has been the featured performer and host for the “Best of Las Vegas” gala for the

Las Vegas Review-Journal and host of the “Las Vegas Life Epicurean Awards.” Clint was inducted into the Buffalo Musical Hall of Fame and into the Casino Legends Hall of Fame. Perhaps what has endeared Clint most to people of Las Vegas is his never-ending spirit of graciousness. In a short time, he has become involved with several worthwhile causes in the community such as Candlelighters, ROB Reachout, Shadetree, St. Jude’s, and various cultural events. Following a brief battle with colon cancer, he is currently serving as a spokesman for the American Cancer Society, encouraging people over age 50 to have annual colonoscopies. He has also taken a special interest in mentoring young people interested in becoming entertainers by working closely with the Las Vegas Academy of Performing Arts. In December 2005, he launched the Clint Holmes Foundation for the Performing Arts, which benefits children in art and music programs in the Clark County School District. In the world of theater, Clint is a seasoned performer and writer. Along with Nelson Cole he created the book, music, and lyrics for the musical Comfortable Shoes. Clint starred in the world premiere of this musical at the legendary Papermill Playhouse. The musical had another successful run at the Royal George Theatre in Chicago. Clint recently starred as Simon Zealotes in the Youth Theatre America one-night-only benefit production of Jesus Christ Superstar with Ted Neeley, Yvonne Elliman, Barry Dennen, Ben Vereen, and Jack Black. Clint continues to create with his musical director and arranger, the international award-winning composer, arranger, and performer, Jeffrey Neiman. Mr. Neiman has had a long and distinguished career in music, production, and film and television scoring. He has worked with a diverse array of artists such as Billy Preston, BB King, and Tower of Power. Along with Mr. Holmes and director Larry Moss, he is the co-writer of the Clint Holmes shows “Inspired,” “Remebering Bobby Short,” and the Bistro Award-winning “This Thing Called Love: The Music of Cole Porter and Paul Simon.” Clint has finished writing his latest musical Just Another Man with Larry Moss and Bill Fayne. The world premiere of this exciting new musical starring Mr. Holmes was presented by the Nevada Conservatory Theatre at the Judy Bailey Theater at UNLV. In late 2011, he premiered a major cabaret piece, “Remembering Bobby Short,” a loving homage to the man who defined New York cabaret. It was performed at the legendary Cafe Carlyle, where Bobby Short held court for over thirty years. In early 2012, he premiered another major work, “This Thing Called Love: The Music of Cole Porter and Paul Simon,” directed by Larry Moss, to rave reviews. In April of 2012, Mr. Holmes was honored to assume the mantle of Artist-In-Residence at Cabaret Jazz at the newly opened Smith Center For the Performing Arts, a world-class performing arts center that rivals any such venue anywhere in the country. Mr. Holmes performs a new show there each month to sell-out crowds. Ron Blake The origins of Ron Blake’s tradition-honed eclecticism can be traced back to the Virgin Islands where he was born and raised. The saxophonist and composer recently completed his 20th season with NBC’s Saturday Night Live Band. He has released five recordings

as a leader on Mack Avenue and his self released debut, UpFront and Personal. His most recent release, Mistaken Identity, on 7tēn33 Productions (2023), was his first in 15 years. He is the recipient of three Grammy® awards with the Christian McBride Big Band and four Emmy® Awards with the SNL Band. Blake has appeared on over 60 recordings as a guest or sideman with leading artists, including Roy Hargrove, Art Farmer, Christian McBride, Meshell Ndgeocello, Joey DeFrancesco, and Yerba Buena. In addition, Blake is on faculty at the Juilliard School and more recently, Blake composed soundtracks and sound design for A Bedtime Project podcast, streaming on all major platforms. Blake’s new release (August 8th, 2025), Ron Blake Scratch Band featuring Reuben Rogers on bass and John Hadfield on percussion on 7tēn33 Productions, reflects upon his childhood memories of music performed my local bands, often called scratch bands in the Virgin Islands, for its inspiration. Nnenna Freelon Grammy Nominated Jazz Vocalist / Composer / Actress / Playwright Six-time GRAMMY® Award nominee Nnenna Freelon has earned a welldeserved reputation as a compelling and captivating live performer. In the past couple of years, Nnenna starred in the critically acclaimed show “Georgia on My Mind: Celebrating the Music of Ray Charles” at the Venetian Hotel in Las Vegas. Nnenna is no stranger to the music of the master singer - she toured with Ray Charles, as well as many other greatest jazz artists including Ellis Marsalis, Al Jarreau, George Benson, and others. Nnenna has always been respected as an artist and for her passion for education. In November 2011, The White House asked Freelon to headline the Asia Pacific Economic Summit for 300 Presidents, Premiers and Heads of State from around the world. This was on the heels of receiving the YWCA of North Carolina’s inaugural “Legend Award” for her outstanding artistry and her dedication to education. Freelon has dedicated herself to educating young people, both musicians and non-musicians, and students of all ages. She toured the United States for four years as the National Spokesperson for Partners in Education. Her master classes and workshops, from “Sound Sculpture” to the ground-breaking “Babysong,” teach adults and children that you too can change the world – even one person at a time. With her anthem “One Child at a Time” found on her Soulcall recording, Freelon took on the task of fundraising and bringing greater attention to the needs of children in education through mentoring and the arts. It has become a sought-after song by countless organizations including the United Way. As writer, composer and producer, Nnenna’s recent productions include the original theatrical presentation of The Clothesline Muse, a devised theatrical work of dance, music, spoken word, vibrant art and projections. She is also one of the stars of the musical theater piece. The Clothesline Muse premiered at the Painted Bride Arts Center in Philadelphia in 2013 with a national tour underway in 2015. The production was accomplished with the assistance of her daughter, visual

artist Maya Freelon-Asante and Kariamu Welsh, Chairman of Dance at Temple University. The play won a National Theater Project creation grant from the New England Foundation for the Arts (NEFA), a much sought after honor only awarded to six worthy recipients. The play has also been supported by the National Performance Network. The play explores the intergenerational relationship between Grandma Blu, played by Freelon, and her granddaughter Mary Mack, played by Cloteal Horne. The clothesline becomes a magical place where memories are shared and stories told. “The young Mary has little interest in the past,” explains Nnenna, “but discovers that there are more than just clean white sheets hanging ‘on the line’.” In addition to Horne and Freelon, The Clothesline Muse features a cast of five dancers and live original music composed by Freelon. This is not her first stint acting. Freelon made her feature film debut in What Women Want starring Mel Gibson. In the company of other great artists, Nnenna triumphed in composer Laura Karpman’s undertaking of Langston Hughes’ “Ask Your Mama” at The Apollo Theater and at an astounding the Hollywood Bowl concert with opera superstar Jessye Norman and the indie phenom band The Roots. She also wowed audiences at SRO shows at the Tanglewood Jazz Festival with the Duke Ellington inspired “Dreaming The Duke,” with classical star Harolyn Blackwell and pop-jazz-crossover pianist Mike Garson. Nnenna’s talent is not limited to performing. Her TV appearance on In Performance At the White House, celebrating the 20th Anniversary of the Thelonious Monk Institute of Jazz, led to the versatile songstress/ composer having a featured song on the hit TV show Mad Men. That was followed by a new collaboration on tour with legendary guitarist Earl Klugh and with legendary pianist Ramsey Lewis. Honors and awards are nothing new for Nnenna. In 2019, she will receive from the National Association of Women In The Arts the “Youth Empowerment Through the Arts” Award and “Artist of the Year’ Award. She was named a 2010 “Woman of Substance” by Bennett College for Woman, delivered the Keynote Address for the 2010 Arts Midwest Conference, and much more. Freelon is a winner of both the Billie Holiday Award from the prestigious Academie du Jazz and the Eubie Blake Award from the Cultural Crossroads Center in New York City. She was nominated twice as “Lady of Soul” by the Soul Train Awards. At the 43rd annual GRAMMY Awards telecast from Los Angeles, she inspired an enthusiastic standing ovation from 20,000 music industry insiders and other celebrities when she took to the stage. She receives similar reaction for her ongoing concert, television and special event performances such as the prestigious headline spot for ActionAID, Sir Elton John’s International AIDS fundraiser. Born and raised in Cambridge, Massachusetts, Freelon received her undergraduate degree from Simmons College in Boston. Her parents and singing in the church gave the singer her first exposure to the arts

– especially to the art of jazz. Her father played Count Basie recordings and her mother’s active involvement in their church led Freelon to an appreciation of all music. Ultimately she pursued a career in jazz in which she has excelled. All the while, Freelon has cherished and held dear her two most important lifetime roles — wife and mother. Her husband Phil Freelon is an award-winning architect based in North Carolina whose most recent work as the lead architect of The Smithsonian Institute’s Museum of African American Culture and History has received worldwide praise. As the mother of three, Freelon has led by example — follow your dreams, dedicate yourself, and work hard in all you do. Her recording career has brought consistent respect and sales for the artist both for her solo albums and those on which she collaborates or is featured in duets. Nnenna Freelon prepared to go back into the recording studio with Take 6, Al Jarreau, and more for a forthcoming new studio recording as she continues to create a diverse and outstanding legacy from her performances to her recordings to her theatrical endeavors that have garnered an ever-growing fan base from audiences to leaders worldwide.

FIFTEEN YEARS AND COUNTING

15 YEAR RETROSPECTIVE The Building and History As a part of our 15 th anniversary season, we thought it would be fun to look back through our 15 years of Lone Tree Arts Center so far! Here’s a look back at the construction of the building, from the “Topping Out” ceremony where the last structural beam of the building was put into place, to interior shots of the stage and theater while it was still under construction. The Lone Tree Arts Center started as a citizen-led initiative early in the City of Lone Tree’s existence and was voted on by citizens in May of 2008. The Arts Center officially opened with a Grand Opening Gala on August 27, 2011, featuring a performance from Broadway legend, Brian Stokes Mitchell.

ABOUT US

LTAC STAFF Leigh Chandler, Executive Director, was appointed in 2022 after serving as Artistic Director and Marketing Director. Leigh oversees LTAC’s operations and guides the organization’s artistic vision, including Main Stage, Community Impact, and other specialized programming. Previously, Ms. Chandler served for eight years in a marketing director role at the Flynn Center for the Performing Arts in Burlington, Vermont. She grew up outside of New York City and graduated from Cornell University with a Bachelor of Science in Industrial and Labor Relations. Marcus Turner, Associate Executive Director for External Relations, joined LTAC in 2023 having spent his entire career in the arts. After obtaining a master’s degree in music from CU Boulder, Marcus has worked in marketing, fundraising, higher education, and grantmaking for organizations like the University of Denver, Northwestern University, SCFD, and the Arvada Center for the Arts and Humanities.

Jen Kiser, Production Manager, has been with the Lone Tree Arts Center since it opened in 2011. Her previous roles at LTAC include Assistant Technical Director and Lighting Designer for multiple Lone Tree Arts Center productions. Her previous lighting designs were also seen at Goodspeed Musicals, Hartford’s TheaterWorks, Arvada Center, and the Mizel Arts and Culture Center. She has worked for the Guggenheim Museum, and assisted designers at venues including Papermill Playhouse, Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center Festival, and on Broadway’s By Jeeves. Saundra Bergman, Administrative and Artistic Assistant Elaine Caras, Rental Events Manager Dana Ciccotello, Director of Grants and Corporate Development Allissa Dailey, City Events Manager Bailey Dunning, Events and Rentals Coordinator Patrick Elkins-Zeglarski, Community Programs Coordinator

Heidi Conley, Business Manager, joined LTAC in February 2019 as the Business Manager. She has more than 25 years of experience in managing finance, budgeting, business operations, human resources, marketing, computer systems, databases, and e-commerce. Before joining LTAC, she was the Vice President of Economic Literacy Colorado. She has a degree in Business Management from Western Governor’s University and studied Accounting at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
