Public Notification Package Plateau Communication Tower – Mid-Point Pump Station Plateau Pipe Line Ltd. (Plateau) is a subsidiary of Pembina Pipeline Corporation (Pembina). Pembina is a leading pipeline transportation and midstream service provider that has been serving North America’s energy industry for over 65 years. As a trusted member of the communities in which we operate, Pembina is committed to safe, responsible and reliable operations. Plateau is proposing to install a new self-supported, lattice communication tower at Plateau’s existing facility within NW 17-86-20 W6M. The new tower is required to provide the radio communications necessary to operate and monitor Plateau’s equipment in the area. Municipal & Public Consultation You are receiving this package because you are within the notification criteria of our proposed project. Industry Canada’s Spectrum Management and Telecommunications guidelines require that we notify and provide information to those who may be affected by the proposed project. Innovation, Science and Economic Development Canada (ISED) requires that proponents follow their Default Public Consultation Process (section 4.2 of CPC-2-0-03) in cases where the local land-use authority does not have an established documented public consultation process applicable to antenna siting. This Project is located within Peace River Regional District (PRRD). During preliminary consultation with the municipality, it was confirmed that they do have a documented Telecommunication Tower Siting Policy (No. 0340-74) and therefore Plateau will adhere to the guidelines for public consultation contained therein. OPEN HOUSE / PUBLIC MEETING Plateau invites members of the public to attend an open house regarding this proposed communication tower. The objective of the open house is to share information about the project and gather input from the public.
