MT BULLER continues to experience growth in visitation year-on-year, and to date this season the resort has welcomed over 140,000 visitors, which is 39 per cent above the previous 10-year average. Mt Buller Mt Stirling ARMB chief executive officer John Huber said last week “we are continually welcoming new markets of visitors who are looking for that first time visit to the

snow as a day trip”. “These new markets, combined with our regular strong day visitor market, has meant we have experienced several days of record visitation this season, with huge volumes of guests enjoying the great snow conditions,” Mr Huber said. “It has meant that on several weekends the resort has reached capacity for day visitors, and those visitors arriving later in the day have been required to park their vehicles much lower down the mountain and even at

Mirimbah Park.” Experiencing such high levels of day visitation has meant that additional transport has been required to ensure visitors can be transported safely to and from the Village, and additional staff have also been put on to assist customers around the resort. “We are also seeing an increase in visitors arriving to the mountain later in the day, and our message is for guests to arrive early to really get the most out of their snow experience,” Mr Huber said.

“It makes for a wonderful day out to arrive earlier in the day and enjoy all that Mt Buller has to offer, from learning to ski or board, taking a sled dog or snowshoe tour to eating at one of our many on-mountain food outlets and creating great new memories. “We look forward to welcoming many more visitors to the resort as we head into what is set to be a fantastic August. “With plenty of snow on the forecast the lineup of spectacular events
