Purpose 1.1 To apply best practice in the management of falls, promote a culture of enabling and promoting ability, to balance independence with safe care and reduce the risk of falls 1.2 To meet the legal requirements of the regulated activities that React Homecare is registered to provide:  The Care Act 2014  Equality Act 2010  The Health and Social Care Act 2008 (Regulated Activities) Regulations 2014  Health and Safety at Work etc. Act 1974  The Manual Handling Operations Regulations 1992  Mental Capacity Act 2005  Mental Capacity Act Code of Practice  Reporting of Injuries, Diseases and Dangerous Occurrences Regulations 2013 (RIDDOR) 2. Objectives 3.1 To provide staff of React Homecare with an understanding of the risk factors of a fall, facilitate the implementation of a comprehensive and person-centred falls risk assessment, and to suggest practical interventions that may reduce these risks. 4.
