5 Smart Tech Travel Tips for Summer Vacation Summer is here! Unfortunately, just because the sun is shining and the weather is warm, doesn’t mean we can just escape from the office for a vacation. Here are a few smart travel tips to bring your office with you this summer.

Make time away from the office productive. Whether you’re headed somewhere tropical to relax on the beach or overseas to explore, you can still be productive at the office with technology tools made for mobility. Take a look at these 5 smart tech travel tips to keep you working while you’re away.

1. Consider your company’s safety first! Have your IT professional examine your laptop to ensure your antivirus protection is installed and all of your programs are up-todate. Yes, this seems like a no brainer, but outdated programs can leave loopholes for intruders to exploit. f

BYOD or bring your own device policies are becoming more prominent in business today.

It’s very common for workers that want to work remotely to use their own laptops and smartphones. However, business owners must consider the risks and put policies in place to protect their network, data and company overall. These policies should focus on security for the organization’s network and protection for intellectual assets. While working remotely is convenient, it can also bring unseen vulnerabilities.

2. Bring the right equipment. If your laptop is dragging you down, it’s time to replace it. Consider a new Dell Latitude series laptop and the Lenovo ThinkPad. These laptops come with a variety of features and additions. However, to work from afar, you need a laptop that includes a Wi-Fi card with unlimited data and a nationwide plan. Escape to Picnic International Picnic Day is coming soon on Wednesday, June 18th this year. Take an extended lunch to gather outdoors to eat and enjoy some friendly company.

Want a lunch date? What better excuse than International Picnic Day to ask a coworker or friend out to lunch. Remember, this is a picnic though. Pack a picnic basket early or order a to-go meal to share at a local park or look out point.

The origins are hazy, but the observance can be traced all the way back to the end of the French Revolution and the Victorian Era. Picnics have always been a great way to escape the stress and restrictions of every day work and formality.
