KRS TECH CHRONICLES 2026 APRIL

Insider Tips to Make Your Business Run Faster, Easier and More Profitably

It’s in full effect and it’s a season of fresh starts, clearer thinking, and maybe a second (or third) cup of coffee to keep things moving! This month, we’re taking a closer look at why well-run businesses don’t rely on luck, how busy seasons (yes, we’re looking at you, accountants 👀) can open the door for cyber risks, and how one small tech misstep can create a ripple effect across your entire day. Think of this issue as your spring reset for smarter, steadier operations, with a few insights to keep things running smoothly behind the scenes. And as always, if you know someone who could use better IT, sharing KRS comes with some pretty great rewards. 😉🎁 Here’s to staying sharp, secure, and just a little ahead of the chaos this season may bring. 🌱🚀

FEELING LUCKY?

THAT’S NOT HOW WELL-RUN BUSINESSES OPERATE

Luck is fun and festive, but businesses do not run on luck. No owner would ever say: “Our hiring strategy is whoever walks in.” “Our sales plan is hoping customers find us.” “Our accounting will sort itself out.” That would be absurd.

The Quiet Double Standard Somehow, IT gets a pass:

This monthly publication is provided courtesy of Josiv Krstinovski President of IT Company. Our Mission: At the end of the day, it’s simple: every client deserves enterprise-level security. No shortcuts, no compromises. I’d rather invest more on our end than to let a client go unprotected. That’s the standard I hold myself and our entire team to. Anything less isn’t leadership, it’s negligence.

Think of it like driving without insurance. You might get away with it for years, but the day something goes wrong, you’ll wish you had a plan.

Prepared vs. Hoping for the Best Most businesses don’t discover how unprepared they are until they’re in trouble. That’s when the questions start: Do we have a backup? How recent is it? Who handles this? How long will we be down?

“We’ve never had an issue.” “It’s probably backed up.” “We’ll deal with it later.”

Prepared businesses already know the answers. Luck-reliant businesses find out in real time.

That’s not a plan. That’s superstition in disguise. Unless you’ve got a leprechaun running your IT, it’s a risky bet.

Being prepared doesn’t mean expecting disaster. Think about it this way: When your systems are tested and documented, a hiccup is just another Tuesday.

Most owners wouldn’t leave payroll, or customer service to chance. Yet with technology recovery, hope still sneaks in.

When they’re not, that same hiccup can turn into a full-blown crisis.

Why 'We’ve Been Fine So Far'. ........Doesn’t Hold Up

Customers notice, employees get frustrated and suddenly you’re spending more time fixing problems than running your business.

Here’s the trap: When nothing bad has happened, it feels like proof that nothing will. Every business that’s had a long, chaotic, how-did-this-happen day said “we’ve been fine” the morning before. Luck isn’t a system. It’s just risk you haven’t met yet.

The Reality Check If your accountant managed books the way you manage tech recovery, would you be okay with that? Why give technology a pass?
