OPINION BY RAY SHAY As we approach the conclusion of both the college and NFL football seasons, I cannot help but relate football analogies to our local housing market. With the dramatic increase in home value over the last few years, many sellers are walking to the locker room with a hefty profit, including about $500,000 free of capital gains taxes.
