El pasado abril, Rubi celebró sus quince años rodeada de familiares y amigos, invitando a la Revista Princess a presenciar esta gran celebración. A pesar de las condiciones climáticas no muy favorables, Rubi lució sionante en su día especial y disfrutó mente del momento.

Hacer una fiesta de quince anos no es nada facil, dentro de los preparatvios entran muchas cosas en juego, pero Rubi y su familia se encargaron de que todo saliera lo mejor posible y disfrutaron al maximo este evento que jamas olvidaran. Entre los invitados asistieron Maria & Juan Lopez, propietarios de True Shine building services y orgullosos padrinos de la quinceanera.

Celebrating Rubi’s Quinceañera
Last April, Rubi celebrated her fifteenth birthday surrounded by family and friends, inviting *Princess Magazine* to witness this grand celebration. Despite less-than-ideal weather conditions, Rubi looked stunning on her special day and fully enjoyed the moment.
The event took place at a private estate in Ramona, featuring bands playing *norteño* music and a wide variety of other tunes. Everything was spectacular, from the decorations to the waltz. The most impressive moment was her entrance on horseback, which she surrounded with great pride and courage. The food was delicious, showcasing a blend of culinary traditions including tacos, hamburgers, desserts, and more. The service was top-notch, and her impressive waltz left everyone in attendance amazed. Planning a quinceañera is no easy task there are so many moving parts involved but Rubi and her family ensured everything went perfectly, making the most of an event they will never forget. Among the guests were Maria and Juan Lopez, owners of True Shine Building Services and the quinceañera’s proud godparents.

Desde muy pequeña, Yeya se sintió fascinada por la historia, el arte y la geografía. Mientras estudiaba, imaginaba cómo sería caminar por aquellos lugares que aparecían en sus libros y conocer las culturas que despertaban su curiosidad. Aunque su camino profesional la llevó a estudiar Contabilidad, Administración y posteriormente Child Development en Estados Unidos, aquella pasión por explorar el mundo nunca desapareció.
La vida le presentó uno de sus desafíos más difíciles cuando perdió a su esposo. Sin embargo, en medio del dolor encontró una nueva pasión: correr. Lo que comenzó como una forma de mantenerse activa se convirtió en una fuente de fortaleza y transformación personal. “La adrenalina que sientes al comenzar un maratón y la emoción de cruzar la meta es algo simplemente hermoso”, comparte. Su personalidad perseverante y su constante búsqueda de la excelencia la han llevado a conquistar metas que para muchos parecerían imposibles.
Uno de los destinos que siempre soñó visitar fue Machu Picchu. Al llegar a la antigua ciudad inca, rodeada por las majestuosas montañas de los Andes, sintió que estaba viviendo una experiencia que había imaginado durante años. “Es algo indescriptible”, recuerda. Pero si existe una aventura que ocupa un lugar especial en su memoria, es su viaje a Japón. Obsesionada con la idea de escalar el Monte Fuji, dedicó un año entero a prepararse física y mentalmente. Entrenó en gimnasios, subió cerros y fortaleció su resistencia para enfrentar el desafío. La experiencia parecía perfecta hasta que, durante el ascenso, un poderoso huracán sorprendió al grupo. Los fuertes vientos y la lluvia hacían casi imposible avanzar. Sin embargo, gracias a la organización y disciplina que caracterizan a la cultura japonesa, lograron llegar al refugio sanos y salvos. A lo largo de sus viajes, Yeya ha aprendido mucho más que geografía. Ha descubierto la importancia de respetar las costumbres y leyes de cada lugar, valorar la diversidad cultural y cuidar la naturaleza.

Cuando no está viajando, Yeya mantiene un estilo de vida activo. Camina diariamente, asiste al gimnasio y forma parte de un grupo de bailarinas. Una caminata por la ciudad o por el campo puede convertirse en una experiencia extraordinaria cuando se realiza con curiosidad y entusiasmo.
Hoy, mientras se prepara para celebrar sus 80 años, mantiene vivo un sueño que inspira a cualquiera: escalar el Monte Kilimanjaro en Tanzania. Porque para Yeya Miranda, la edad no es una barrera, sino una prueba más de que los sueños no tienen fecha de vencimiento. A Brave and Adventurous Heart

From a very young age, Yeya was fascinated by history, art, and geography. While studying, she would imagine what it would be like to walk through the places featured in her books and to experience the cultures that sparked her curiosity. Although her career path led her to study Accounting, Administration, and later Child Development in the United States, that passion for exploring the world never faded. Life presented her with one of its toughest challenges when she lost her husband. Yet, amidst the grief, she discovered a new passion: running. What began as a way to stay active evolved into a source of strength and personal transformation. "The adrenaline you feel at the start of a marathon and the thrill of crossing the finish line is simply beautiful," she shares. Her perseverance and constant pursuit of excellence have led her to achieve goals that might seem impossible to many. Send feedback
One of the destinations she had always dreamed of visiting was Machu Picchu. Upon arriving at the ancient Inca city, surrounded by the majestic Andes mountains, she felt she was living an experience she had imagined for years. “It is indescribable,” she recalls. But if there is one adventure that holds a special place in her memory, it is her trip to Japan. Obsessed with the idea of climbing Mount Fuji, she spent a full year preparing both physically and mentally. She trained in gyms, hiked hills, and built up her endurance to face the challenge. The experience seemed perfect until, during the ascent, a powerful hurricane caught the group off guard. Strong winds and rain made moving forward nearly impossible. However, thanks to the organization and discipline that characterize Japanese culture, they managed to reach the shelter safe and sound. Throughout her travels, Yeya has learned much more than just geography; she has discovered the importance of respecting local customs and laws, valuing cultural diversity, and caring for nature.
Throughout her travels, she has also come to understand that maintaining a healthy lifestyle is essential for continuing to explore the world.
When she isn't traveling, Yeya leads an active life. She walks daily, goes to the gym, and is part of a dance group. For her, adventure doesn't always require a plane ticket; a walk through the city or the countryside can become an extraordinary experience when undertaken with curiosity and enthusiasm. Today, as she prepares to celebrate her 80th birthday, she keeps alive a dream that inspires everyone: climbing Mount Kilimanjaro in Tanzania. For Yeya Miranda, age is not a barrier, but rather further proof that dreams have no expiration date. Her story reminds us that true adventure begins when we decide to live each day to the fullest.

Un viaje para recordar
En este viaje por carretera hacia Washington tuvimos la oportunidad de contemplar algunos de los paisajes más impresionantes que he visto en mi vida Montañas cubiertas de pinos con un verde intenso y majestuoso, tan altas que parecían tocar el cielo Entre ellas, lagos espectaculares como Lake Shasta y la imponente montaña Shasta, que se levanta con una belleza difícil de describir
La combinación de los tonos turquesa del agua, el verde profundo de los pinos y el azul brillante del cielo creaba una obra de arte perfecta, un verdadero espectáculo de la naturaleza
Pero más allá de los paisajes, lo que hizo especial este viaje fue la compañía Compartir esta aventura con mi padre y mi hermano convirtió cada milla en un recuerdo valioso. Aunque el trayecto estaba programado para 18 horas, nosotros lo transformamos en 25 horas llenas de experiencias, haciendo paradas en pequeños pueblos, lagos y lugares turísticos que nos invitaban a detenernos y admirar su belleza.
Y por supuesto, la música no podía faltar. Entre canciones de Alex Zurdo, Mensajero, Humbe, Pedro Capó y muchos artistas más, cantamos, reímos, recordamos anécdotas del pasado y soñamos con planes para el futuro Cada canción despertaba emociones y hacía el camino aún más especial
Si me preguntan si valió la pena, mi respuesta es un rotundo sí Cien por ciento valió la pena y sin duda volvería a hacerlo
Porque al final, los viajes no solo nos llevan a nuevos lugares; también nos permiten crear nuevas memorias, fortalecer vínculos y descubrir que algunas de las experiencias más hermosas de la vida ocurren entre un destino y otro.

Un viaje para recordar
On this road trip to Washington, we had the chance to behold some of the most breathtaking landscapes I have ever seen There were mountains blanketed in a deep, majestic green so tall they seemed to touch the sky Nestled among them were spectacular lakes, such as Lake Shasta, and the imposing Mount Shasta, which rose up with a beauty that defies description
The blend of turquoise waters, the deep green of the pines, and the brilliant blue of the sky created a perfect work of art a true spectacle of nature
Yet, beyond the scenery, what made this trip truly special was the company Sharing this adventure with my father and brother turned every mile into a cherished memory. Although the drive was scheduled to take 18 hours, we turned it into a 25-hour journey filled with experiences, stopping at small towns, lakes, and tourist spots that beckoned us to pause and admire their beauty.
And, of course, there had to be music. Amidst songs by Alex Zurdo, Mensajero, Humbe, Pedro Capó, and many other artists, we sang, laughed, reminisced about the past, and dreamed up plans for the future Each song stirred up emotions and made the journey even more special
If you ask me whether it was worth it, my answer is a resounding yes It was one hundred percent worth it, and I would undoubtedly do it all over again
Because, in the end, journeys don’t just take us to new places; they also allow us to create new memories, strengthen bonds, and discover that some of life’s most beautiful experiences happen somewhere between one destination and the next
There are landscapes to be admired with the eyes, but there are moments to be cherished forever in the heart

Inicié en el mundo de la pastelería a la temprana edad de seis años, ya que mi familia se dedicó al rubro con un local comercial ubicado en la ciudad de Ensenada, de donde soy originario, durante al menos una decada. Fue allí donde aprendí lo básico de lo que sería mi vocación. Aunque primero estudió una licenciatura en Deportes en la UABC y ejercí algún tiempo como profesor, como en muchos familias, mi madre sembro en mi la inquietud por la pastelería animóndome a cursar una carrera técnica en Repostería Profesional en San Ysidro, CA, mismo que concluí satisfactoriamente y con mi participación en al menos cinco competencias en el condado de San Diego

Tres de ellas se realizaron en La Joya, donde obtuve un primer y segundo lugar, esí como una mención honorífica como “Best of Show”, en la feria de Real del Mor logró un primer lugar y en una competencia intercolegial de chefs repostores organizada por el Culinary Art School of Sen Diego, conseguí un segundo puesto que me colocó en el podio de ganadores. Mi capacitación continuó con un comparto de Repostería Internacional y Habilidades Artísticos llevado a cabo en Los Vegas, donde participaron reconocidos conferencistas e instructores. Del año 2008 a 2010 trabajó como repostero en distintas postelerías y restaurantes en la ciudad de Guadalajora, Sinaloa y Tijuana
Fue en l año 2010 que fundé mi primer proyecto en Tijuana, el cual se llamó “Al Gusto Pastelería”, donde me desempeñé hosta 2016 cuando decidi combiar su concepto a “Espátula Pastelería Creativa”, una postelería por pedido enfocada a satisfacer las exigencias de sus clientes en cuanto a diseño y sabor de sus pasteles
Lo que mas disfruto primeramente son los retos en la elaboración de los diseños nuevos y el sentir la emoción de los clientes el ver nuestra disponibilidad de crear sus propios pasteles. Angel Esparza
I began my career in pastry making at the tender age of six. My family owned a business in spoon by the Culinary Art School of San Diego. I took second place, placing me on the winner's podium. My training continued with an International Pastry and Artistic Skills camp held in Las Vegas, where renowned spookers and instructors participated. From 2008 to 2010, I worked as a pastry chef in various bakeries and restaurants in Guadalaora, Sinaloa, y Tijuana.
It was in 2010 that I founded my first project in Tijuana, called “Al Gusto Pasteleria” where I worked until 2016 when I decided to change the concept to “Espátula Pasteleria Creativa”, a custom-made bakery focused on meeting the demands of its customers regarding the design and flavor of their cakes
What I enjoy most are the challenges of creating new designs and feeling the excitement of customers seeing our willingness to create their own cakes. My recommendation is that you feel completely confident in choosing us as your supplier so that your guests are satisfied later on. I also recommend that you have time to choose your cake carefully, as well as having a variety of images to design it to your complete liking

Una amiga me invitó a cooficiar una ceremonia; ella se encargó de la parte en inglés y yo de la parte en español. Fue una experiencia muy hermosa y desde ahí comenzó esta linda travesía Ahora, oficio ceremonias en español, en inglés o incluso una fusión de ambos idiomas
¿Qué es lo que más disfrutas? ¡Todo! Me encanta dialogar con la pareja y conocer más sobre su historia, desde cómo se conocieron hasta cómo decidieron dar este gran paso en su relación. También disfruto mucho el instante en que comienza la ceremonia y la pareja se ve por primera vez En ese momento, se dan cuenta de que finalmente han llegado al momento que tanto han soñado Y mi parte favorita es escuchar sus votos; muchos de ellos me han hecho llorar por dentro, pero tengo que contenerme y continuar con la ceremonia. Es maravilloso ver y sentir que el amor es lo que nos sigue empoderando para seguir adelante
¿Qué le recomiendas a las parejas a la hora de elegir un ministro para su boda?
Definitivamente creo que es importante que elijan a alguien con quien ellos se sientan cómodos, que sientan que pueden comunicarse claramente, que los guien en el proceso por que sinceramente para muchas parejas todo esto es nuevo y puede ser abrumador En lo personal lo que yo les ofrezco es un proceso claro, sencillo y sin estrés.

How did you start on this adventure?
A friend invited me to co-officiate a ceremony; She took care of the English part and I took care of the Spanish part. It was a very beautiful experience and from there this beautiful journey began Now, I officiate ceremonies in Spanish, English or even a fusion of both languages
What do you enjoy most? All! I love talking to the couple and learning more about their story, from how they met to how they decided to take this big step in their relationship. I also really enjoy the moment when the ceremony begins and the couple sees each other for the first time At that moment, they realize that they have finally reached the moment they have dreamed of for so long And my favorite part is hearing your votes; Many of them have made me cry inside, but I have to contain myself and continue with the ceremony It is wonderful to see and feel that love is what continues to empower us to move forward
What do you recommend to couples when choosing a minister for their wedding?
I definitely think it is important that they choose someone with whom they feel comfortable, who they feel they can communicate clearly, who guides them through the process because honestly for many couples all of this is new and it can be overwhelming Personally, what I offer you is a clear, simple and stress-free process
