Robyn Holl: Energy
These artworks deal with motion and connection, translated onto a two-dimensional space. This process becomes a dance, and like dance, it involves the artist’s movements in space.
The result is ethereal intertwining activity, evidence of a human existence where the
human is not visible. Embodied gestural energy interacts with color as harmonious connections are made through brushstrokes.
As this process displays the dance of movement, the journey experienced represents motion in an instant in time. There is ever-fluid energy flowing in and around the compositions which both attract the viewer
to explore and mystify the
viewer to wonder.
