NATHALIE RAMIREZ garden FROM THE

This catalog was published on the occasion of the exhibition From the Garden by Nathalie Ramirez, presented at Courtyard by Marriott, Ft. Lauderdale Downtown.
Nathalie Ramirez: From the Garden
This exhibition is inspired by the endless beauty of nature, from the texture of a seashell and the patterns of clouds to the shifting hues of the sky and sea. At its heart, this collection draws influence from the gentle beauty found in the garden, especially the delicate forms and colors of flowers. The work reflects a deep appreciation for the small details that surround us and transforms them into expressive abstract compositions. Each piece is built with layered acrylic paint to create depth and movement. Sand-like textures and subtle collage materials add a tactile, organic quality to the surface. Bold tones and rough textures bring energy and vibrancy, balanced by soft blends and washes that create a sense of calm.

Nathalie Ramirez is a South Florida based abstract contemporary artist whose work radiates texture, movement, and vibrant color. Born in 2003, a second-generation, self-taught artist, Ramirez grew up immersed in creativity, spending much of her childhood in her father’s studio. There, through experimentation and intuitive exploration, she developed a distinctive visual language rooted in materiality and emotion.
Deeply inspired by nature, Ramirez translates the subtleties of her coastal surroundings into layered, tactile compositions. The textures of seashells, shifting clouds, and the ever-changing hues of sky and sea inform her abstract forms. Working primarily with acrylic, she builds dimensional surfaces using sand-like textures, collage elements, pencil, marker, and textured paste. These materials create organic, flowing shapes that echo florals and shoreline landscapes. Ramirez has participated in numerous juried art festivals and has received multiple awards in recognition of her work.
