Welcome...
Welcome to the 2021 Edition of the Wish List! I’m starting to sound like a broken record- but this has been another tough year for a lot of folks. However, just like all the years past- we have once again shown that the cattle industry is full of the most resilient, hopeful people there are! This year, I am ecstatic about the lineup we have brought you to sell. It is stacked top to bottom with females that are going to go out and make an impact on our breed. From broody, proven cows to promising bred heifers to fancy heifer calves destined for a successful show career- there is something for everyone! With the feed shortages in many parts of our country- now is the time to turn to an easy keeping, easy fleshing, and hardy breed. Now is the time to buy Gelbvieh!
We are once again lucky to have the Canadian Bull Futurity join us in Stettler. I feel that we have found a home for this event that allows everyone to showcase their top herd sire prospects in a comfortable, relaxed environment. This event is growing each and every year in number as well as quality. This is a great opportunity for cattle people looking to purchase a Gelbvieh bull in the spring to come out and sample what numerous different programs have to offer. Highlighted in this year’s catalog are the bulls entered in the futurity so everyone can see ahead of time what a showing this will be!
A huge thank you goes out to Jen- Ty Gelbvieh for providing us with this year’s donation heifer. She came right from the top of their replacement pen. This isn’t just a heifer that would just be cool to win. This is a heifer that a herd could be built around! Tickets will be auctioned off at the beginning of the Wish List sale, or to purchase them ahead of time, please contact Nicole Hollman.
I just wanted to thank Nicole Hollman, Lorna Okell, and Jason Muhlbach (who I forgot to formally thank last year) as their six year terms on the board have come to an end. These are three individuals who have put a tremendous amount of time and energy into making the board the success it is today. Thank you!
Right now- we are planning the event as we would like to have it- but as with everything, stay tuned for changes due to the ever evolving COVID situation.
I would like to welcome everyone to come to Stettler and check out all our breed has to offer! You will not find a friendlier group of passionate, knowledgeable cattle people.
Take care and see you soon!

Productive Cow/Calf Pair

JT LIVESTOCK
Bred May 6th to JT VOLK Premonition.
We at JT Livestock have attended the Wishlist sale for a few years now helping other consignors and felt like it was time to consign one. So, we offer to you this great pair. The cow is elegant in her design, maternal in her look and very athletic. Held her own as she raised a very capacious heifer calf but here is something special, she is carrying a service to JT VOLK Premonition, the 2020 Forth Worth champion and reserve at the National Western Stock Show. We will be exhibiting this pair at Farm Fair International, Please stop by and check her out.

Stylish Bred Heifers

Confirmed pregnant to Hillsdown Hamilton 10H, due around March 1.
50H is the kind of heifer we are striving to produce in our operation. I love her thickness, her depth and her solid bone structure. She inherited her dam’s sweetheart disposition and it has been fun to hang out with her getting ready for this event. She goes back to a great line of hard working cows and I’m not excited to see her leave our place, but I know she’ll excel in her new home.
Hertha is sired by DL 5D who is the cornerstone of our breeding program and we have been very impressed by the mark he stamps each calf with. Some of our top prospects in the bull and heifer pens have been sired by him and we’re excited to have another group to get to know this fall.

True to our program this little lady has about as good of calving ease built in as you can get and comes from a family with plenty of milk to help achieve those big weaning weights we are all looking for.

From pasture to pictures Keriness Cattle Co., has chosen these bred’s for this elite sale keeping the same tune for both; front pasture females with eye appeal, well balanced, fleshy females with no extremes of bold nor broody or femineity. There are so similarities of; visually, sired by, bred to, observed breeding within 8 days, and EPD’s as well. The Ness’s can retain your bred until mid March if calving in the early calendar year isn’t in your program. This bred exhibits a little more elegant, clean front, finer boned, with a strong hip, and shows a good foot pattern.

GCC THYME 6H should be a maternal powerhouse. A daughter of Thyme 1F who is sired by none other than JRI Super Duty who has produced a series of high selling lots at this very sale. With a 105 weaning index for 6H she has showed what she can do. Now add to this pedigree our calving and maternal specialist “MACK” and you have a dam of merit and distinction in the making. Our choice of mating to JNA GI JOE 425H the ET son of the well know BAHA cow and Viper, should add calving ease without sacrificing growth so the new owners can clip a great coupon. Thyme was only bred once and is confirmed pregnant to that service.

You have to appreciate here thickness and length of body and of course her beautiful cherry red hair coat. Her dam Jen-Ty Bobbie 701B is one of those deep bodied, ideal frame, tremendous uddered, Chilli females that never disappoints us. The mating of Craftsman 23C and Jen-Ty Bobbie 701B has proven to work well here to produce a great offspring. Miss B Haven is a personal favorite of ours and is hard to see go but you do have to part with the best to promote your program. AM Jenny 26J is the first ever consignment from us at Limestone Stock Farms to the Wish List. And she’s a good one! Her sire is a home raised bull that goes back to a black female we purchased from Fir River. Her dam is quickly becoming the top cow in our herd. We have sold two bull calves from her into commercial herds and a maternal sister is currently working at Pearson Farms. Jenny herself is sure to impress come sale day. She’s dark cherry red and very eye appealing. She’ll impress you with her length of side and overall balance. A ton of performance in this female who had a moderate 84 lb birth weight. She was the high selling bred heifer that year. 116F is turning out much like her mother… long, deep and broody. Natalie 9J has all the necessary genetics to make her a great one. Her sire DDN 938G has added to the genetic power that this calf possesses. And she may well be better than her dam or grand . Joico 18J is a sweet female that we really struggled to let go of. She embodies what we are striving to achieve in our herd and feel that she has the potential to really move the breed forward. She is fancy fronted, big middled, thick made and as square as you can make them. She is the first of her kind to be offered for sale, out of our home raised herdsire, BNH Freestyle Blowin Minds 5F. Joico is one that could walk into a show ring and turn heads as well as become an impressively productive brood cow, like her dam NGC Cover Girl 4C. Cover Girl is arguably the deepest ribbed female that you will find at BNH, with a gorgeous udder and great feet. Stacking cow families is what we all work on within our own herds and Joico is one that really puts it all together by stacking some of BNH’s top cow families such as the Halo and Berry family. She’s in that difficult growth spurt now, but will grow into a deep framed and ample milk such as her 1450-1500 lb dam. LCF JOJO 311J is one of our favourite lines to keep, so instead of keeping her this year we've decided to share her with everyone at the Wish List. She is sired by Twin View Invictus, and although this is his first year of calves, he really has outdone himself with this heifer. This heifer's mother, Tally Uda 11C, always throws a keeper, whether they are a bull or a heifer. This year one of Tally's daughters, LCF Felicia 12F produced a beautiful black heifer calf which is going to be in the Agribition sale on November 25th. We are so excited to share this line with everyone and hope you like her as well.

LCF Julia 236J, from day one we knew we'd either be keeping her for a sale or for ourselves. We bought Julia's mother, VV Sweet Princess 36B at the Wish List as a heifer calf 6 years ago, from Stone Gate Farms. One of our best purchases as she lives right up to her name. Her mothering ability and thickness are just two things that stand out to us when we look at this heifer calf. Yet again Twin View Invictus 110G has sired this beautiful female, and really added some great features to this heifer including a nice thick barrel, and ideal foot. We're very happy to share this heifer with everyone and I'm sure you'll see why we picked her too.

2020 Winner... Colby Hollman

Hi, my name is Colby Hollman, I am 13 years old and my family runs BNH Livestock. I would like to thank all the breeders that sponsored the 2020 Junior Incentive credit, Jonus Cattle Co, Limestone Stock Farm, Pearson Farms, BNH Livestock, Hilltop Gelbvieh, and Jace Cattle Co. Without their support of the juniors I would not have been able to buy my second purebred Gelbvieh heifer, DL Jen-Ty Hot Stuff 550H. Currently I am trying to start a small herd of top quality, purebred Gelbvieh animals. This credit helped me to be able to add genetics that I may not have been able to otherwise, so I am thankful for it.
To the Juniors out there that are trying to start or expand their own herd, the GAA/BC Junior Incentive Program is a great way to make it more affordable, so be sure to send in pictures of you showing off your projects to get entries in!

LCF Moves Like Jagger is a son of LCF Sweet Black Dafodil 18D, which comes from our line of VV Sweet Princess 36B. Just like her mother deep bodied and a nice foot. we always look forward to what this line brings us. He is sired by Twin View Invictus 110G, who has become our feature bull this year. The muscle and power that he puts into his calves has really made us proud of what we have.

“I just love this cow.” That’s what I keep hearing when I show people TVR Whiskey Girl 532C. My philosophy on breeding is to find an exceptional cow and find an excellent bull to mate her to and you’re bound to have some success with the offspring. Whiskey Girl was the first Gelbvieh heifer we ever bought from Towerview Ranch and we mated her to AWB Holyfield, a Boxer son that I selected for his head shape, added power and length and weaning weight. I have yet to cut a Holyfield calf. Feet, disposition, length, style, power, Prince Julian had an adjusted weaning weight of 819 lbs. 90 lb birthweight, he’s the type that will make you money and with his style he’s going to pack on the pounds without the calving ease difficulties. DCG Prince Julian was born March 14, so he is a bit younger than some of the other entries but we feel come show day that he will check at least a few boxes for a variety of purebred programs.

This guy has been a favorite from day one. Homozygous polled, eye appealing with a flawless thick body structure. He expresses great muscle expression and character as well as a great extension to his top line. He is very smoothed fronted as well as good solid foot structure under him. He is sired by JM Excalibur 58E who has great depth to body and his dam Jen-Ty Brooklynn 661B has been one of those tremendously deep broody females that we absolutely love. He has some awesome EPD’S born at 88 lbs and had a 205 day weight of 797 lbs.

FLR Jester is an attractive, well put together bull. He has a big hip, length of spine and moves out freely on a solid foot. This guy has tons of muscle, good bone and a straight topline. Sports a dark red coat with a good amount of hair. Lots of calving ease built into this big guy. He has a can’t miss pedigree with is dam receiving dam of merit status this year and JRI Pop a Top on his top side. We love the heifers his dam has given us and every single one of them are still active in our herd.

Double Barrel has had this wow factor right from birth, a homozygous polled individual who is just a very stylish, impressive bull. He carries tremendous volume to his structure and loads of natural muscle mass that you really have to admire. His dam Jen-Ty Foxy 454Y is one of those priceless females that we love, she is perfectly designed with a massive rib and top line. We just love her body structure so we flushed her to FIR Flagship 305F and we got this amazing bull calf that is definitely one of the best we have raised.

Twin View Vendetta 99J has had the look of a big time herd bull from an early age. He comes wrapped in a liver red package, is homozygous polled, backed by an easy fleshing and moderate mother cow and offers a unique combination of calving ease and performance. His mother is a typical Drake daughter who milks from a perfect udder. Her first calf sold to Keriness Cattle in Function and Finesse. On the top side of his pedigree, Vendetta represents the first calf crop from fresh and outcross Bonanza whom we purchased with Diamond Z Livestock. Vendetta ranks in the top 5% of our breed for calving ease, he has a negative birthweight EPD and yet had a weaning ratio of 105. We absolutely love his explosive rib design, big hip and perfect foot shape along with his early maturing look. We appreciate all things about Vendetta more each day and have every intention of incorporrating his influence in our own breeding plans in 2022.

JOE 410J a little green or growth spurt? I do appericiate his weight on the scale at weaning along with long spine, slim fit, medium boned & soft shoulder that could be used on larger frame hiefers or longer legs to reach those taller cows. I wouldn’t really worry to much for birth weight as is dam is around 1500lb, larger frame lots of milk too. Joe would like to thank Jenty Gelbvieh / Diamond A Farm / Barry & Robin Mader and sold the bull later to Jamie Payton, & to my second youngest friend Brock Beauliua.

We decided this year to step into the bull futurity ring for the first time. From our first sighting of Santiago we knew we wanted to use him, but had some rough luck with the first couple of calves. The stars lined up this year and we got Gaucho out of Lawes Ally, a wishlist purchase that has been an easy keeping no miss kind of cow for us. We believe this bull will match up with a wide variety of cows to result in a very eye appealing, somewhat moderated frame score with ample meat and milk production Hope you like our Gaucho as much as we do

After earning the 2021 Champion Gelbvieh Bull title at the NILE in Billings, Montana, Jigsaw has earned the privilege to show in the Beef Supreme Challenge. We felt it only makes sense for him to stay in Canada a little longer and be part of the Canadian Bull Futurity. You are likely familiar with his sire, Mayweather, who is a walking herd sire here in Washington. He was the 2019 Agribition Champion and his progeny have surpassed our expectations at every test. Mayweather offspring are the bulk of our show string this year and we can’t say enough about the success we’re having with him here! The cow family behind Jigsaw is exceptional, making a substantial impact in our program. After being a class winner in Denver, his dam has given us a string of exceptional sons including our Rampage bull. His granddam was one of the very best females we’ve owned and one of only three we have flushed. She is also the dam of our herd sires Easy Rider, Undescribable and Young Gun. She is the granddam to 140 registered cattle in the US and also gave us numerous top daughters and produced natural calves until the age of 15. Jigsaw himself is homo polled, hetero black, exceptional in his structure and foot quality and offers an outcross cow family to Canadian Gelbvieh. His name is unique just like he is! Jigsaw puts all the best pieces of our breeding program together. We look forward to meeting you in Stettler!

Combine Outback with a RWG Right Combination sired dam that we purchased at the Function and Finesse sale and we got this beauty. Jericho has a moderate 88 lb. Twin View Canadian Kid 31J has been blowing up our radar all summer! Canadian Kid is heterozygous black, homozygous polled and is backed by a balanced and user friendly EPD profile. He is easy to admire with his added length of side, expansive width and depth of rib combined with his rugged good looks. His mother hails from the Rainbow cow family who routinely go above and beyond our expectations. They consistently have exemplary foot and udder structure and make themselves noticed time and time again. Each year, we look forward to Rainbow cows calving with short gestations, lighter than average birthweights and then above average weaning data. Canadian Kid’s maternal brother is working for Little’s Country Farm and sired their Wish List entries. His dam’s maternal brother was one of our feature bulls last spring to Jensen Ranch of North Dakota. His offspring are very structurally correct with a lot of rib shape and that soft soggy middle that we strive to produce. Jackpot's young dam BLB Lovebug 6G stood alongside her dam as a choice lot in the first Function and Finesse sale. Twin View chose her dam and we took 6G home to start her legacy. Our first futurity entry is another calf off the popular Gung Ho sire. 623J is off of the matriarch of our Gelbvieh herd- Spice Girl 106A. This cow does not miss. We bought her in hopes of adding that depth of middle and width to our herd, and she has done just that. Another son of hers is working at the Keriness/ Jonus program- where a heifer calf from him was selected two years in a row to sell at the prestigious Function and Finesse. Another daughter is also working in the ever progressive Koziak Land and Livestock herd. We recently weighed all the cows at our place- Simmentals included- and the heaviest one was JNA Baby Spice 52C- 106A’s first calf. The mass and volume in these cows is second to none. They are sound and built to last. 623J is an easy doing calf with great eye appeal. He has more middle than 609J, but isn’t as big frame wise. He’s Jessica’s pick out of the two calves. A tremendous herd sire prospect here with a maternally focused pedigree!

Bull shit walks and money talks!! This guy could walk on water even though it was the driest summer we ever had, as admired by the whole Ness crew and a few guests. We have viewed KCC 62J for his; long body, large med boned husky frame, saddle bag ass, and long skull. He is just eye attraction due to his swagger, the Ness’s had to follow him in pasture just to check out his butt, topline & nuts were intact. The second of our futurity entries is a big performing Gung Ho bull calf off of a first calf heifer. If you’re looking to add a little size and length of body to your herd, look no further. 609J is smooth through his front and structurally correct. He’s not a fat show bull- he’s built to get out there, move, and breed cows. His sire needs little introduction as his offspring continue to impress in numerous purebred herds within the breed. 609J’s dam we purchased from Jace Cattle Co at the 2019 edition of the Wish List. I’d say she knocked it out of the park on her first kick at the can here! She dropped a neat little udder and maintained her condition well. If this is what she can do as a first calver- I can’t wait to see what she can do as she grows into a mature cow. 609J is Duncan’s pick of the two calves. If you or your commercial customers still get paid by the pound- take a look at this guy!
