I would like to welcome you all to the 2018 Riverstone Bull Sale. To say that 2018 has star ted off challenging would be an understatement! The extreme cold that we have faced through the past two months we have definitely been keeping ever yone on their toes With the shor tage of straw in some places combined with these frigid temperatures I am sure this will have an effect on ever yones current herdsire batter y and good herdsire prospects will be in demand

This year we are featuring three paternal bothers on the Angus side that are sired by SAV Resource These three brothers all exhibit mass, power and per formance that is sure to turn heads on sale day. On the Limousin side of the sale offering we are excited to offer two full brothers to Riverstone Charmed and Riverstone Crown Royal. HSF Your Fantasy is a never miss dam that has had a dramatic impact in the Limousin herdbook across Nor th America This genetic powerhouse combined with the ever popular Durham Wheat has been unstoppable State side and have proven time and time again to cattlemen of all breeds that Limousin cattle can have top quality phenotype, a massive amount of hair as well as the best docility of any breed.

We have spring born yearlings and fall born yearling’s for your appraisal The spring born yearlings calved in Januar y, Februar y and March where as the fall born yearlings are calved in September and October The fall calves are weaned in May and turned back out on grass for the summer and then brought back in September when we wean the spring yearlings so that we can manage them together. This group of bulls are put on a free choice pelleted ration through Master feeds along with home raised silage as roughage We are always shor t of pen space so this management allows us to use one large pen for all the yearlings

The bulls are available for viewing at the farm anytime prior to sale day and encourage you to take advantage of your chance to win $1000 off your 2018 purchase (see below for details) We are once again hosting our sale at the Olds Regional Exhibition Cow Palace in Olds, I hope you can join us. How to enter:

• Stop by the farm and tour the bull pen prior to March 25, 2018

• Each individual that has appraised the bulls at the farm prior to the sale, and results in a purchase of a bull will have their name included in the draw.

• The lucky winner will be announced at the completion of the sale and before settlement is made

• You do not have to be present at the sale to win

Right to Semen

Riverstone Cattle Co reser ves the right to draw semen on any of the bulls in the offering. Semen will be used for in herd use only and will be drawn at the expense of Riverstone Cattle and at the convenience of the buyer

DNA Testing

Individual DNA test results are not available The homozygous status that is printed in the catalog were acquired by parentage verification Animals in this offering may possess the homozygous black and/or polled genes.

PLEASE NOTE that the EPD’s for progeny of Highland Creed 20A (Angus) are parental due to a registration error. Updated EPD’s for these lots will be available sale day. All other information printed in the catalog is known to be true and accurate as provided by the Canadian Limousin & Angus Associations Please note that EPDs may have changed by the time the registration paper is transferred

All bulls sell under the Standard Breeders Guarantee and Guidelines recommended by the individual breed associations. Copies are available upon request.
