Hamilton Farms 2026 Bull Sale

Page 1

Welcome everyone to Hamilton Farms 31st Annual Bull

& Select Female Sale…

Ranchers, cattleman, and every business associated with the livestock industry have endured many ups and downs over the years, and now, all the hard work, and resilience, and perseverance that ranchers have endured, is paying dividends that I’m sure not many would have thought possible! It is great to see the renewed enthusiasm in the livestock industry, the excitement, and the magnetic pull of the youth in agriculture to step up and carry this industry forward. It was a common question from very recent days gone by… “who is going to take over the ranch, who wants to calve cows, who is going to do the work?” I think the good times we are experiencing in the cattle industry now will be with us for some time, the rewards will be good, and we will pull more youth back into this great industry.

We believe we have put together the strongest set of bulls ever, with tremendous uniformity and consistency running deep through the pens. Our heifer pen is equally strong, with many of our top cow families represented, allowing us, in a small way, to showcase the strength of our cow herd— the foundation of our program.

Our bulls and heifer calves are developed by their mothers, naturally, on grass and milk, with no creep feed through the summer. After weaning, the bulls are introduced to a high roughage, low energy, TMR ration, that is designed to enhance their growth requirements without compromising their longevity. We think the bulls and heifers are in ideal body condition to go to work for their new owners. Cole Giles and his sister Taylor will once again present a stout group of quality two-year-old bulls from 3G Cattle Ventures which have been retained solely for this sale. No bulls have been sold previously from this group.

Our pursuit of new genetics that will complement our program, and provide our customers with sound and profitable cows, is unrelenting. Sound economical traits like foot quality, level tight udders, moderate birth weights, heavy weaning weights, and balanced epd’s round out our selection criteria. Our success is tied to your success, and we continually push to be better. We hope you will like what you see.

We would like to thank everyone who has supported our operation over the past 31 plus years. We really appreciate it and are humbled by the loyalty and friendships we have enjoyed.

Our operation depends on the hard work of many great employees, as well as friends, and neighbors, and we would like to say a special thank you to everyone who has helped us along the way.

Our live auction will take place on Wednesday, March 25, 2026, and we will be hosting our annual open house on Tuesday, March 24th with food and refreshments available all day. Call anytime if you have any questions or need help with your selections. If you can’t make it in person on sale day, DLMS will be available to handle your online bidding needs. Please give Rob, Gail, Joel, Sebastien, or Cole a call if you have questions or need suggestions on selections.

Stay safe, Happy Ranching, and we look forward to seeing you!

Hamilton Farms have their entire cow herd on an integrated and comprehensive health and production management program. The program is based on the detailed collection of data on each individual animal at all key health and production points. This information is kept in a secure web-enabled database called Herdtrax® and it is continually monitored and audited by the managing veterinarians at Cow/Calf Health and Management Solutions (CCHMS).

The are 5 key components to the health and management program:

• Nutrition

• Animal Care and Welfare

• Disease Prevention

• Breeding Soundness

• Tracking Sale Bull Progeny Performance Bull and Heifer Nutrition

All pre-weaned calves are raised on mamas milk and lush green grass. No supplemental creep is needed or provided. After weaning they are introduced to a fibrous total mixed ration comprised of chopped hay, silage, barley and an all-natural protein supplement. This diet is more than adequate for maintaining growth and performance and superior for rumen, hoof and reproductive health.

Breeding Soundness Examination

Every bull for sale will have been evaluated for the following criteria:

• Physical Examination

- Soundness of structure and movement

- Palpate testis, epididymis and internal sex glands

• Scrotal Circumference

-Minimum requirements must be met or no further evaluation is performed

• Examination of the penis

- Verify each bull can protrude and there are no warts or defects on the penis.

• Sperm motility and morphology

- Verify sufficient gross and individual motility and sperm morphology

Rob, Gail and family con琀nue to raise the bar higher and higher each year, which is hard to believe considering they have one of the premier sales in Canada each year. Mark your calendar, it is an event you don’t want to miss.

The bull feeding program is built to maximize forage u琀liza琀on and gut health; they are developed on grass with their moms on a strict mineral program. All the forages are sampled and analyzed to ensure quality forages are used. Once the calves are weaned, they are slowly moved onto a balanced TMR. The bulls are challenged with a forage-based TMR to help them develop and express their gene琀c poten琀al. Matchin suitable protein sources with proper starch is key to promo琀ng muscle growth. Organic minerals are used to ensure proper immun func琀on and overall health.

If you have any ques琀ons about the nutri琀on program, please feel free to reach out. Buy with confidence knowing the bulls have been developed on a balanced nutri琀on program. Good luck on sale day.

Hi-Country is a powerhouse, calving ease sire that we are so excited to have in our lineup. He was our lead off bull in 2024 selling to Strongbow, River Valley, and Peak Dot, for $185,000. HiCountry checks off all the boxes when searching for the ideal herd bull. He is wide topped, expressively muscled, big scrotaled with ideal shape, perfect feet, and has a mother that is absolutely stunning. All reports of calves born from Hi-Country have been positive. Moderate birth weight, jet black and hairy. You can wear out a lot of tires trying to find a bull of this stature as they are very rare and hard to find. We will use Hi-Country extensively over the next few years and we know he will have a significant impact on the Angus breed in North America. The first 175 doses of semen to sell averaged $900/straw.

97L Prostar is another All-Star herd bull raised right here at Hamilton Farms. He was purchased through our 2024 sale by SW Cattle, and Emde Land & Cattle/606 Livestock for $85,000. We exhibited Prostar at Agribition in 2023, winning Senior Bull Calf Champion, as well as also winning the Angus division of the Presidents Classic. Prostar has developed into a powerful Angus bull, defined by big nuts, tremendous body length, strength of top, and desirable muscle expression. His dam is a very productive cow with lots of foot strength and udder quality. We used Prostar heavily back in our program making up the largest sire group on offer and the results speak for themselves when you tour the pens. His calves are consistently stamped with body length and quickly transform into very shapely and stylish individuals. We expect Prostar to carry us forward in a positive direction and we eagerly anticipate the daughters that we will have in production.

Hi-Range was purchased through the 2022 Ellingson Sale for $160,000 and he has proven his worth time after time since then. Bulls of that value come with very high expectations, and he has certainly lived up to all our expectations and more. A true calving ease specialist with growth and power to boot! HiRange will be a game changer for structure, foot quality and mobility. His outcross pedigree offers mating flexibility for a large cross-section of the breed, and he will excel with low birth, high performance progeny. Hi-Range progeny certainly created quite a stir in our 2024 sale with 23 sons selling for an average price just over $30,000. We now have Hi-Range females in production, and they really are the right type and kind. They are consistently big middled, moderate sized females with udder quality galore. Hi-Range is just right for the cowboys who demand low input and high yields.

Badlands is one of the most exciting Angus sires to have come around in many years. His balanced-trait package gives him the correct tools to make a meaningful impact in the commercial cattle industry. His Pathfinder dam has numerous sons being utilized in Angus programs across North America and Badlands’ positive impact will be felt for years to come. Badlands’ sons are consistent in their kind with more base width, volume, structural correctness, and authentic breed character that is second to none. There have been multiple sale toppers across the US over the last 2 years that are either direct sons or grandsons; a recent highlight was a Badlands grandson selling for $600,000 in Koupal’s B&B Angus Sale. We purchased the Canadian semen rights in partnership with Six Mile Red Angus on LT Flint 4005, a direct son, who sold to Mohnen Angus for $147,500. The first Badlands daughters to calve are exceptional mothers and they have dropped perfect udders.

Northern Prince was a bull that was on a lot of astute cattlemen’s radar after we had him on display at Agribition in 2022. He captured Senior Bull Calf Champion at the show and was destined to be our lead off bull in 2023. A back injury kept him out of the sale that year, which was a huge disappointment for us as well as the people who came to see him. The silver lining in this was that he did eventually return to health, and we couldn’t be happier with his resulting calves. The daughters we have in production have dropped picture perfect udders and have shown great maternal ability. Eleven maternal brothers to Northern Prince have sold through our bull sale for an average price of $21,000. A direct son, HF Marksmen 299M led our 2025 bull sale selling to Hollinger Land & Cattle for $40,000 and Chad has sent rave reviews of his breeding ability and the resulting calves this winter.

Big Iron 563K is backed by a proven pedigree anchored by the elite donor cow 73D at Arda Farms. A cow family defined by maternal strength, structural integrity, and lasting productivity. 563K stamps his progeny with consistency and substance; hairy, stout made calves that are solid on their feet with performance built in. We purchased Big Iron from Arda Farms in their 2024 spring sale. Nine Flush brothers sold through Arda’s sale and the consistency and power of the crop was very impressive giving us confidence in his breeding ability.

Preacher 333L sold through Golden Oaks 2023 Cattle in The Snow Sale to Westway Farms for $70,000 ½ interest. We saw tremendous potential in the bull and were fortunate enough to purchase a limited semen pack. Preacher is a bull with a big hip, loads of middle and mass, moves out freely, and stands on good feet. He goes back to Tom’s famous donor cow Magnolia 2D who has a long list of proven production. His calves have stirred up a lot of attention last fall with 13 sons selling for an average of $24,000 and Preachers full sister Magnolia 429M selling to River Valley for $155,000. We are super pleased with the sons and daughters on offer and think they will add value to any program!

ARDA BIG IRON 563K

Reverence was the very popular lead off bull in our 2023 sale which sold to Bar E L Angus, and Cowtrax Cattle Co for $80,000. Reverence’s first calves here at Hamilton Farms are very impressive plus he did an equally impressive job leaving top end calves at Murray Ranches and Cowtrax Cattle. Reverence is sired by Sitz Profound 680G who is leaving us with outstanding replacement females, which are phenotypically pleasing to the eye, very nice uddered, and structurally correct. His dam is one of our most highly regarded females descending from the famous Echo Cow family. We will continue to use Reverence in our program as he truly sires the right kind.

Four Mile 47J, a proven breeding piece that has been used extensively in both Greenwood and Ter-Ron herds with tremendous success, siring highly desirable progeny that have topped sales and left lasting impacts in numerous herds. Four Mile was the 2023 Canadian Western Agribition Champion Bull. Recently, a Four Mile son that was purchased by Murray Ranches, Ter-Ron Eldorado 185L was slapped the Grand Champion Angus Bull as well as the Supreme Champion Bull at Farmfair International 2025. Four Mile’s dam, Tibbie 28Z, is one of the great cows of the breed with a long list of high sellers stemming from Greenwoods program.

Relevance is an outcross sire which we added to our program to enhance maternal strength, foot quality, and thickness, while offering our long-time customers a completely new pedigree to choose from. He is super long bodied with an enormous top and rear quarter, moves like a cat, and stands on an ideal foot structure. Relevance is an impressively wide-bodied bull who also adds significant carcass values and stems from the highly valued Pride cow family at Poss Angus. We are super happy with the first calf crop by Relevance and will watch with great anticipation for his daughters to enter production.

Hi-Tide is a freight train in terms of power, length, and mass. He has always been at the top of the growth and weight charts when coming through the chute and has maintained his structural soundness making this calf an ideal breeding piece. With an adjusted WW of 855lbs and YW of 1519lbs, Hi-Tide is sure to add desirable growth and performance. He has been a favorite to many through summer and fall tours and earned himself a spot in our Agribition string that went to Regina. His 10-year-old dam, HF Evening Tinge 184D, is a nice hard working Status daughter with a level tight udder and always calves at the front half of calving season proving her fertility year after year. His EPD spread is near the top breed leaders in almost all traits adding to his breeding potential!

Maternal Brother, HF Hi-Grade 15L, sold to East & West Ranching for $16,000

Two falls ago we had an opportunity to purchase a semen package on Golden Oak Preacher after he sold to Westway Farms and we are very pleased with the calf crop. They have tons of hip and rib; they are soggy with great hair and have ideal breed character. 22N has been one of our favorite Preacher calves and since weaning seems to have found another gear. His EPD profile is well balanced and adds favorable growth on weaning and yearling weights. Pounds have never been more profitable in our industry and this stout Prostar son is sure to sire calves that will pack them on. Prograde posted an adj WW of 864lbs and adj YW of 1522lbs. This is no surprise when you follow the pedigree behind him, his sire HF Prostar 97L was one of the heaviest weaning and yearling weight bulls in the bull pen and his maternal granddam, HF Tibbie 77Z ratioed 12/108 at weaning over all calves born. His structural soundness and ability to move haven’t taken a back seat and he is sure to cover cows with ease.

This guy is an absolute unit. Some people think you can’t have high performance cattle using angus bulls...Margin Call would rival that theory, and he can do it with a 79lb birth weight. Bulls with this much mass are rarely accused of being super athletic but 24N will impress you on the move. With combining calving ease, tremendous growth, and maternal superiority this stud is hard to pass up. His dam, HF Tibbie 76H is a very nice Showman daughter with a great udder and sound foot. This isn’t the first time his mother has rung the bell, HF Marksmen 299M lead off the bull sale offering in 2025, selling to Hollinger Land & Cattle for $40,000. His Hi-Range mother has done a whale of a job on her first calf with a ADJ WW of 835lbs. The maternal power in his pedigree is second to none. The combination of the Tibbie, Emblynette, and Bells Girl cow families is a major upside for this young stud. The udder quality on the Hi-Range and Badlands daughters is superb. Here is one of 6 flush brothers that are all peas in pod! When you analyze these brothers you’ll find the common theme of calving ease, commendable growth, maternal longevity, and structural soundness. Any one of these brothers would be a heifer’s dream come calving time without sacrificing pounds at sale time. His dam, HF Evening Tinge 118Z, does not miss. This Tiger daughter had 3 sons roll through the ring in the 2025 sale that averaged $21,000, 3 sons in the 2024 sale averaging $16,000, 5 sons in the 2023 sale averaged $30,000 between them. She also had 2 daughters from the same flush that averaged $25,000 and one daughter that will remain in herd with high expectation of following in her mother’s footsteps. Anvil is built right from the floor up, full of muscle, and stylish in his design. This stout bugger has ideal testicle development and has that herd bull presence that makes him a true feature. His donor dam, HF Tibbie 205F, has solidified herself as a staple female for us and for good reason, unfortunately her being deceased makes this the last flush group we will have. She has impeccable feet and ideal udder along with tons of mass, middle, and style. Watch your heifers calve easy and then breed back on first cycle, and you will want to keep every female sired by Altitude. His dam is a beautiful young cow that has perfect feet and an ideal udder with great spread and small teats. This young Alcatraz daughter has only scratched the surface in her production career, but she is sure to add maternal longevity and profitability to the equation. His mother is a big bodied Showman daughter that raised a very similar bull calf last year that sold to HBH Angus for $25,000.

Bulls like Franchise are what programs should be built on; he is one of the most impressive calves to roll through our sale and is sure to be one of the headliners. We love everything about this guy, phenotypically checks the boxes, super strong EPD spread, can be used on heifers or cows, a pedigree that doesn’t miss, some of the most proficient mothers on both sides, structure and longevity built in. Have a look at his flush brothers and you’ll see the consistency of this mating. His donor dam, HF Tibbie 205F, has solidified herself as a staple female for us and for good reason, unfortunately her being deceased makes this the last flush group we will have. She has impeccable feet and ideal udder along with tons of mass, middle, and style. A maternal sister, HF Tibbie 224J, was sold as a calf only to be bought back in partnership with Golden Oak Livestock, and most recently sold in Tom’s Cattle in the Snow Sale for $130,000 for ½ interest. This bull is a wagon. Ignite has been loved by many for his shear mass and volume. With a moderate birth weight of 77lbs and a EPD of -1.8 BW, he is safe to throw on heifers or cows and then let his genetic makeup do the work adding pounds after. His adj WW was 836lbs and his YW 1555lbs making him one of the top 5 heaviest bulls on the ranch. He has great carcass scores without phenotypically looking like he has great carcass scores, if you know what I mean. In our minds, this could be one of the most sought-after bulls to sell this spring and is sure to be a headliner come March 25th. The Prostar calf crop has blown us away even more then we had expected and 82N is one that leads the charge! When you combine all the best attributes of Prostar and mate them to Hi-Country’s mother, HF Tibbie 21J, the results speak for themselves. He’s thick and muscular, rugged yet stylish, solid on his feet and athletic, there isn’t much we would change, if anything, on this young herd bull. His EPD spread is very attractive with ideal birth stats and impressive growth, great scrotal, and the list goes on. The foot quality on the Prostar and Hi-Country calves is some of the best we’ve seen across the board, and we are super proud of that, 82N fits the bill. Then to top it off the maternal power and quality in this pedigree is second to none. We think very highly of this calf and with some research we think you will too! Just a note about our feeding program!

The entire bull offering has been developed on a high roughage Total Mixed Ration which has been formulated to maximize nutrition without adding excessive weight gain.

Our target for gain on our bulls is approximately 3 pounds/day and we like to see the bulls with moderate flesh, athletic, and ready to go to work for their new owners. We know it is very difficult to properly appraise cattle with excessive body condition and we feel it is very beneficial to you, the buyer, to view the cattle when they are fresh and with visual muscle definition. We understand, and pay attention to the fact, that we are in a performance driven business and we strive to source genetics which will help add pounds to your calves, and leave you with desirable replacement females.

Cole Giles and his sister Taylor from 3G Cattle Ventures have been consigning a group of extra age bulls for this sale since 2017. These April and May born bulls have never been offered for sale prior, and they certainly are raised and developed to go out and service a larger group of cows compared to yearling bulls. These 2-yearolds have been targeted for sale as aged bulls and have been raised strictly on a high forage-based ration through their first winter and then pastured until they were 19 months old. From November 1, 2025, they were introduced to a high roughage TMR and developed slowly up until sale time. Cole and Taylor’s breeding program very much compliments this sale as their cows combine some of the best genetics that we use here at Hamilton Farms.

The Giles operation is primarily focused on their 500 head of commercial Angus cows and the purebred cows in their operation are managed in the much the same manner. This is a no-nonsense operation supplying you with no nonsense bulls with extra age.

We very much appreciate the Giles family for offering these bulls in our sale and we would like to take this time to thank Cole for all the work he does for Hamilton Farms throughout the year. If we have cattle to prepare for sales or shows, or pictures to take, or help with delivering bulls, Cole takes care of it for us and does such a good job. The whole Giles family are good friends and great neighbors, and we look forward to many more years of working together.

All bulls are either Parent Verified or Sire Verified

Erica 102N is part of the famous Erica cow family which has been a household maternal strength at HF for generations and has become a household name in the Angus Breed with her progeny excelling in the show ring, the sale ring, and pastures across the world. The Erica story is just in its infancy, and it is only going to expand into greater markets. Here is an opportunity to jump in and join the ride. Maternal siblings to Erica 102N have sold in past sales to KT Ranch, East and West Ranching, Kunz Farms, Chase Pincott and Spence Cattle Co averaging $16,000. This Erica 102N female will certainly increase the maternal integrity and structure, producing elite females and yet not compromising muscle shape and overall performance. Take a peek at Erica’s EPD profile as it is very well balanced and noteworthy.

Lucy 113N is phenotypically hard to fault, she has an extremely pleasing head and front end and beautifully proportioned middle third and nice muscle shape to finish off this very complete package. The consistency of Hi-Country is what you find in this female. She has great foot structure, volume, shape, and hairy. The mother behind Hi-Country has phenomenal maternal traits with an impeccable udder, body mass, and foot quality. A maternal brother sold to Ranche Ducharme in Quebec for $34,000, a good start for a two-year old’s first calf. Lucy 113N completes all the boxes. She blends very pleasing numbers with exceptional body capacity and softness and maternal elegance to stand at the front of the pack. Possibly a junior project in the making?

Another ProStar female cut from the same cloth. Easy fleshing, strong topped, big middle with a true “Angus” character head and lots of hair. Yet another example of the consistent quality produced from the blending of the ProStar (Sitz Profound) with the Showman lines. Rosebud 149N has three flush brothers on offer as well, 194N, 203N and 214N, two of which are up in pen one with the “big dogs”. “If lawyers are disbarred and clergymen are defrocked, shouldn’t it follow that cowboys would be deranged?”

Full Sister, HF Erica 297N, Sold to Leela Farms & Sunrise Ranching Co $50,000
Dam, Erica 74A
AAA Registration # Pending

Tibbie 274N comes to you with a unique pedigree on the top side. The Fair N Square cattle are advertised to enhance foot quality, fertility, width, performance and fleshing ability and we think they have done just that. We have daughters milking and udders have passed the test of approval. Tibbie 90E has placed progeny into herds like 66 Ranch, Israelson Farms, Midland Cattle and East & West Ranching.

Another Miss Blackcap daughter with the consistent stamp of the Big Iron progeny. The eye appeal and extension through the front third in the Big Iron cattle is uncanny. This long bodied, strong topped, soft made female with great structural make up moves around the pen like a cat. A super solid pedigree going back to Showman, Big Sky, and the great Tiger daughter 296Y, who has a grocery list of notables to brag about. And a very solid set of numbers to back it all up.

for co-sponsoring our sale hospitality, it is greatly appreciated!

We have a number of siblings sired by Hi-Country and ProStar on offer for you to select from. The 74A progeny are all IVF pregnancies that were created later than planned, so they were somewhat behind the eight ball when weaned. You can see the potential in these young females and know that the marketability of them is incredibly high. A full sibling to Erica 257N and 287N sold in the Falls View Sale in December 2025 to Sunrise Ranching and Leela Farms for $50,000. 74A is maybe the most famous cow to ever be born on Canadian soil, she has now earned elite status worldwide. At the age of 13 years, it is quite an accomplishment to stay in vogue for that length of time even as the style of cattle have changed. Erica and her progeny continue to frequent the red carpet. Erica 257N and full sibling 287N have an air of elegance that radiates from them, they are cut from the same cloth. You make your own assessment. Siblings sell in the bull division as Lots 249N, 270N, 271N, 273N, 276N, 282N, 283N, and 288N. Annie 305N is the second Giordano progeny in the offering. Giordan’s dam is a beautifully constructed Showman daughter out of Alcatraz’s dam, who we used to run with our heifers. The grand dam, Annie 46C is a model Rebel daughter who sold to Grand River Angus in our 2016 Sale. Some of the highlights of 46C’s progeny were a Showman bull to Pahl Livestock for $50,000 and two other Showman sons to Iris Creek Farms and to T&B Harty Land & Cattle. We flushed 46C to Sitz Continuity who is known for maternal excellence and ranks at the top of the breed for $ Maternal. One daughter was sold to Murray Ranches, 240L who has a Hi-Range bull working in their bull battery and one daughter remained at Hamilton Farms resulting in Annie 305N. Annie 305N indexed 105WW and 106 YW with a Birth to Yearling spread of +1.1 to +122, not bad stats for a heifer’s first calf.

Maternal Sister, HLC Erica 200L
Sire, HF Prostar 97L, Sold to SW Cattle, 606 Livestock $85,000

Maternal Brother, HF Badlands 289M, Sold to Rafter 17 Ranching $22,500

This Tibbie heifer will certainly get your attention in the sale pen. This younger lady is the last, but certainly not the least of the Big Iron progeny on offer. Joel debated long and hard about whether to sell this heifer, but they still have the cow, so her potential remains in the herd. Her first calf, sired by Ellingson Badlands was a feature last year going to Rafter 17 Ranching and posting exceptional numbers for a heifer’s first calf. Tibbie 228K, sired by Sitz Profound and going back to Tibbie 22C who has produced too many high dollar cattle to mention at Hamilton Farms and Greenwood over the years. Tibbie 228K is very strong in the fundamentals like femininity, foot integrity and udder quality. Phenotypically 308N is super solid, as she is genomically. Do not miss on this one, she will pay for herself in no time.
