Though mom isn’t here to be part of our bull sale this year, she played a major role on how we got here today. For that we would like to dedicate the 1st Annual

On behalf of Fladeland Livestock we would like to welcome you to our 1st Annual Fladeland Livestock Bull Sale. The year 2015 was another exciting year in the cattle business as cattle prices remained extremely strong compared to the last decade.
For the past 10 years we have consigned our Gelbvieh bulls to the Prairie Gelbvieh Alliance Bull Sale in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, in the first week of April Last year marked our final year in the Prairie Gelbvieh Alliance Bull Sale. In 2016 we have decided to create our own bull sale, move the date earlier to March 16, 2016, while keeping the location the same, at Johnstone Auction Mart in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan. This is a big step, but one we have been working on for a number of years. We feel we have the best set of bulls we have ever raised, so the time to take that step is now. We are excited to be working with Johnstone Auction Mart; Scott, Corey and staff again this year, along with Darwin Rosso, who will be our sales consultant. The bulls can be viewed at the ranch anytime, just call ahead.

Since this is our first bull sale and after a lot of round table discussion, we decided to lead off our bull sale with FLAD Boogyman 28A
His sire, FLAD Mr T, is a flush calf out of our powerful donor cow FLF 66M Mr T was the 2012 high selling bull at the Prairie Gelbvieh Alliance Bull Sale We retained a semen interest and ended up with only two red bulls, FLAD Boogyman and FLAD Fir River Kessel 863, who are both our walking purebred herdsires
His dam, FLF 110P, was the 2010 CWA Grand Champion Female, with calf at foot, FLAD Bourbon 31X (herdsire at Fladeland Livestock) She is a cow with a spectacular udder who has not only done well in the show ring, but backed it up by raising multiple top end herdsires and foundation females In his three years at Canadian Western Agribition, Boogyman was the Grand Champion Gelbvieh Bull in 2014, and was Reser ve Champion Gelbvieh Bull in both 2013 and 2015 He qualified two times for the CWA RBC Beef Supreme Challenge
His first and only heifer calf to sell, FLAD Call Girl 105C, was the 2015 CWA Senior Champion heifer calf and sold to Jen-ty Gelvieh for $12,500
