Scents of Shame candles are made with superior ingredients sourced world wide (not kidding... world wide)! Our luxurious Coco Apricot Crème container candle wax is a vegan blend of natural apricot and coconut, and a minuscule amount of highly refined food-grade paraffin wax. It has a creamy white appearance and provides an excellent fragrance throw (both warm and cold). It exhibits an evenness of burn and wax consumption. These candles will burn approx 100 hours if put in a draft free location and burning for a maximum of 4 hours at a time. This coconut and apricot wax is gluten free, toxin free, paraben free, phthalate free and come from renewable sources. The entire blend utilizes only FDA approved waxes.
We also use a premium wooden wicks these wicks are made from sappy fruit trees and manufactured in the USA. These wicks unlike more common cotton wicks provide a beautiful clean flame with a soft crackling sound with no "mushrooming" of the wick.

We welcome the opportunity to work with retailers in promoting and selling Scents of Shame Candles. There is a minimum initial 25 candle purchase required to become a Scents of Shame retailer.
Holiday scents will be limited time and only available from September 1 to December 30 of each year.

Candle Care...
Listen, I am not big on following rules, ask my parole officer.... JUST KIDDING, but in this case it is important to follow a few candle/wooden wick guidelines. If your candle is still a virgin (brand spanking’ new) it may be as temperamental as a two year old. With these finicky little guys, we recommend lighting them the first time with a BBQ lighter or a hand held lighter. Hold the flame at the base of the wick for about 15-20 seconds if you can, you may have to try lighting them a few times.
Once you have your candle lit for the first time try to keep the candle burning for up to 2 hours or until the melt pool has reached the sides of the container to insure a consistent burn without tunneling for the rest of the candle life. Once you have done this, it should be smooth sailing! When you relight you candle make sure your wick is nice and cleaned up before lighting. Gently tap off any excess charcoal bits on the wick from the previous burn.
