We’ve used him for two years on our heifers. This bull is a proven consistent calving ease bull. He throws calves that are very fancy fronted. This guy has a kind disposition. Only being offered as we are retaining his daughters.

Last year we used Glacier on some of our commercial and purebred cows. I’m looking forward to his calves. His sire speaks for himself and his mother has offspring in three different countries, a never miss cow. Glacier is deep ribbed with lots of middle, wide topped, and is impressive from behind. All in a white myostatin free package.

We have Circle M Field Marshall that we plan to use probably on everyone this year. When we bought him, I saw Polled, length, easy fleshing as they come, most of all came from the Anwender Winegum/Candy Cow Family, which I thought would be a big positive in our cow family. Glady is a very inquisitive, quiet as they come laid back kinda guy, that will get the job done. We really enjoyed and will miss Glady’s presence here at the farm.

A long correct Ideal Tee son out of one of the top females, she has a son and a grandson selling. Ultra T is a bull that checks a lot of the boxes.

SWEETGRASS GRASSLAND 100G

Grassland has been a standout since day one. Lots of performance, muscle shape and soundness. He’s big middled and shows lots of herd bull characteristics. His dam is big footed, nice uddered and really upped her game with the production of Grassland. His sire PVF Gravity was brought up from Paint Valley Farms in Ohio by myself, Dixon’s, Buba, and Stonegate. We successfully showed him in his yearling year. I have a crop of very nice females sired by Gravity and Grassland will for sure be his best produced male progeny. Grassland is big testicled and being a December born gives him a great age advantage to get out early and become a great breeding tool

DIAMOND HARD ROCK 1H

DIAMOND SHORTHORNS

One of the most talked about bulls fall 2020. This wide topped, thick, and long bodied bull is out of one of the most influential females in the herd. 9Z has produced an exceptional herd sire, Diamond Dundee 26D, as well as being the maternal granddam to a Diamond Easy 5E used here at Diamond and now at Rover Y Ranch. At Diamond we pride ourselves in producing front pasture cows that are functional and highly productive and this bull certainly comes from one. e226X Carrier

5H

DIAMOND SHORTHORNS

Halestorm offers an extra shot of power and performance as he is an Australian outcross. His dam is a functional, no miss daughter of the powerful Herbourne B Manitoba Gus 13Z. If you are looking to add roan to your herd 5H will produce it! I am very proud to offer this fine herd sire.

DIAMOND SHORTHORNS

A standout since birth, Hendrix, is by the great Australian sire Royalla Rockstar K274. His dam is a highly productive cow from the powerful Baroness family that has been in the Diamond herd for over forty years. Hendrix is an outcross to most Shorthorn cattle in North America. He is the complete package. He is jam packed with style, thickness and a wonderful easy going temperament. This bull has exceptional movement and is very structurally sound. Potentially the most complete sire to come out of Jaimie’s herd in her 30 years of breeding. We would like to retain the opportunity to show this extraordinary individual if the shows are open in 2021. He is halter broken and ready to go. Selling possession and

Dam

DIAMOND SHORTHORNS

This is a first calf for his dam and is by the popular Rockstar. He is stylish, has a great hair coat and a light birthweight. 7H just keeps checking the boxes! Rockstar had high selling semen at all of the 2020 auctions and the American semen rights are now owned by the famous Jungels herd in North Dakota.

SWEETGRASS RANCHES

If you’re in need of a maternally driven bull Hallmark is the bull for you. His great momma 83A is one of my most beautifully constructed cows. Perfect uddered, refined in her frontend with loads of rib shape and mass. Hallmark himself is masculine made, long spined and has lots of natural muscle. He was born with a modest birth weight and didn’t look back gaining well since.

HEADLINER 8H

DIAMOND SHORTHORNS

We should be keeping this strong Rockstar bull to use on heifers. He has an awesome body, with a perfect leg and foot structure. This fantastic bull should leave some outstanding blues and roans. Many visitors have commented on this individual and he is one of Dan’s favourites

This is a bull we should be turning out on the main cow herd at Diamond! He is only being offered due to the pressure of people who have visited him in the pen. His dam is one of the best cows raised at Diamond Shorthorns in the past 5 decades. Heroic is thick, DEEP, and stylish. Jaimie is very confident in the strength of this individual.

CACTUS FLAT SHORTHORNS

Hey Folks! Here’s a must see just turned yearling, bull. His dam was the high selling Female at the 2017 4’s Company Sale. Our unbelievable foundation cow 6S Daphne 30D. Hoot’s Sire Circle M Field Marshall 2F was also a high selling bull at the first Best of the West Sale in 2019, presently our Senior and only sire now. This bull is Natural bred and born. He is Polled, deep, wide, clean front end, square, easy fleshing, Maternal consistency, outstanding length of hip, Natural muscling, color, good hair, good feet and a bonus to boot. Halter broke for show. He is the result of our top-of-the-line Natural Breeding Program and clean as a whistle when it comes to genetic defects. We also look forward to seeing his ribeye as his older brother maxed the charts. Grandpa (Ralph Peterson) use to always say; “No sense keeping the best at home. We breed to provide some of the Best for others to enjoy!” Dam

DIAMOND SHORTHORNS

Heath’s sire, Diamond Prophecy 21P has proven himself to be the ultimate cow maker with his highly productive daughters. 13H’s dam is by the Australian bull, Diamond Down Under 3D. His dam is from the Candy line and as a two year old, knocked it out of the park with this wide topped, thickly made meat machine. e226X Carrier

DIAMOND SHORTHORNS & WOODRUFF RANCHES

Hero at weaning was over 65% of his dam’s weight! With a light birthweight, and the genetic combination of multi trait CE and BW leaders, Muridale Hero 31Z and Diamond Lord Belmore 56B, 14H should be an excellent calving ease sire. Look at his strong EPD’s for taking the guess work out of your breeding program.

SWEETGRASS PADDY'S HURLER 105H

SWEETGRASS RANCHES

Paddy’s Hurler is the result of the first calf crop from the high selling bull from Horseshoe Creek in 2019, HC Caramba Focus. Hurler shows loads of potential being a calving ease bull, born out of a first calf heifer and carries a nice 79 lb birth weight. He’s super eye appealing and is quick to catch your eye with his long front end and perfect red neck roan colouring. He’s mellow made, stout and hairy. His mom is a nice refined young white cow who is a PVF Gravity daughter going back to a cow I brought up from the Jungel’s program from North Dakota. 47F did a nice job in raising Hurler as her first go in the production department.

RANCHES

A more performance orientated bull coming from Focus. Hadron is a neat made, dark roan bull. Lots of spring of rib, length of spine and good footed all come to mind when analyzing Hadron in the flesh. His 2 yr old dam was level uddered and sound from the ground up as well as a member of the high longevity Godiva cow family. Hadron comes with the added feature of being in the top 15 % of the breed for both weaning and yearling weight EPDs

Hank’s dam is another New Generation Cactus Flat Foundation female that we bought at same 4’s company sale in 2017. 6S Della 25D is a Big Red, Docile, consistent beautiful female to look at. So far this is her first bull calf, she has produced two producing females, plus a exceptional Ooops! Grandaughter, that all three will be going no where! The one genetic defect that Hank carries is one Negative against this guy. But he could go on to breed double positive in characteristics. He is also a must see, just yearling bull. DIAMOND SHORTHORNS

This high performing Dynamite son is out of a strong Maid cow with a no nonsense production record. The Maids have been in the Diamond herd for over thirty five years. Whether you want to add functional performance into your cow herd or to wean off high performing steers. Horizon could be the obvious answer.
