The Confectionery House was set up by Jim Didolis and Serge Meilak when they left Rowntree Confectionery in 1985. With their vast confectionery experience, they decided to fill a market opening. Initially they started with panning operations in one small factory and then expanded into more processes and lines into an additional factory.
Jim had 5 years experience at Rowntree Hoadley as a Project Engineer and was in charge of upgrading and relocating panning operations. Products he worked with were Smarties, Jaffas and sugar-coated High Boil Centres. Serge commenced full time employment at Rowntree Hoadley Ltd in early 1975 as a Trainee Chemist then transitioned to the Campbellfield factory as he was needed for product development, updating production processes to the metric system, assisting quality control engineering, revamping procedures for new machinery installations and product packaging.
The Confectionery House offers a compound chocolate range and a premium chocolate range. The Confectionery House manufactures its own compound chocolate & chocolate using Australian sugar, Australian milk powders, imported coca butter, cocoa liquor, cocoa butter substitute and cocoa powder.
The Confectionery House aims to provide products for repackaging in the confectionery market which are of high quality, competitively priced and readily available. In 2019 we have released our first retail packs to which we hope to expand on.
