PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

While ensuring user safety is critical for both press brake manufacturers and operators, it is equally important to maintain machine performance. In general, traditional safety and optical protection methods can restrict machine performance and interfere with part production that can result in significantly reduced productivity. Press Brakes with embedded RapidBend technology utilise high speed progressive muting that enables the tools to close safely at high speed until the punch is only millimetres above the material. This reduces the slow speed travel distance on every cycle for both flat profile parts and box profile parts with side flanges. RapidBend technology is available in two performance levels - RapidBend and RapidBend Ultimate - to boost machine performance and significantly enhance your productivity.

RapidBend The entry level RapidBend option enables the press brake to close safely at high speed until the punch is just 4mm above the material. During approach to the pinch point, the machine travels at maximum closing speed with dynamic sensing enabled for various part profiles for uninterrupted closing and shorter deceleration to forming speed minimising the slow speed travel distance to the final 4mm above the pinch point.

RapidBend Ultimate RapidBend Ultimate technology changes the game by enabling press brakes to operate without restriction to achieve maximum safety and performance. Through a high-speed dynamic muting process and in conjunction with BendShield technology, the tools can close safely at maximum speed, then transition to bending speed right at the material pinch point. This effectively reduces the minimum speed change point to 0mm, eliminating unnecessary slow speed travel to minimise the machine cycle time. RapidBend Ultimate works with a wide range of part profiles including box bending with side flanges. With time savings of as much as 3 seconds per cycle, RapidBend Ultimate boosts machine performance to significantly enhance your productivity. Press Brakes equipped with RapidBend technology provide users with higher levels of safety and performance that consistently outperform any other machines on the market. Only press brakes with embedded RapidBend technology can guarantee higher levels of performance, so consider RapidBend or RapidBend Ultimate when purchasing your next machine.

Salvagnini at EuroBLECH 2026: two production architectures for managing change At EuroBLECH 2026, stand D94, Hall 11, Salvagnini is presenting the Flexible Smart Line S4+P4 and the Flexible Smart Job Shop: two complementary production architectures that coordinate technologies, automation and software according to different logics, making production more adaptable, autonomous and predictable. This is the concrete translation of the Salvagnini Lead the Change promise, which invites companies to manage change, transforming production complexity into a value.

14

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

Flexible Smart Line S4+P4: complexity managed in a single flow Born from the integration of an S4 punching-shearing machine and a P4 panel bender, the Flexible Smart Line automatically produces different parts in sequence, without WIP, manual set-up or sheet metal handling by operators. The MD single sheet store-tower feeds the S4, while the MCU Cartesian device unloads, stacks and transfers the parts, feeds the P4 and balances the various operations, acting as a buffer when necessary. The most relevant new feature is FLOW, the MOM software developed by Salvagnini to manage the line. FLOW connects devices, coordinates the production behavior and is used to select the most suitable strategy, job by job: Inline, Stack and Load in the standard Line configuration; Smart Buffering and Smart Reordering in the optional Smartline level. In the office, FLOW-Office makes available a digital twin of the system, used to compare job queues and production scenarios before launching production.

pressbrakebuyersguide.com

The S4 punching machine maintains the distinctive Salvagnini architecture with the multi-press head with die-structure and integrated shear. It can house up to 117 thick turret tools, always available over the whole sheet, and is equipped with advanced hybrid actuators that reduce average consumption by up to 20% compared to electric actuators. The shear, with two independent and orthogonal blades, separates the parts without eroding the material while minimizing scrap. The line is completed with a P4-3126 panel bender, with maximum bending height of 260 mm. The universal bending tools and ABA automatic blankholder eliminate manual retooling. The configuration on display further extends the application range with the options CUT, CLA/SIM, RSU, EPP and DPM-I, as well as a tool magazine with three T tools that can be automatically engaged and disengaged within the same cycle.

15

Salvagnini at EuroBLECH 2026

Flexible Smart Job Shop: independent technologies that work together when needed The Flexible Smart Job Shop combines stand-alone technologies that can work independently or collaborate on convergent productions. The system consists of a L3.G4 laser in a fully automated configuration with an LTWS storetower and MCU automatic sorting device, internal logistics with autonomous mobile robots and P-Robot, integrating a P2-2520HG panel bender, robot and B3.ATA press brake. The STREAM, STORE, NEXUS, MOVE and RVS software coordinate programming, nesting, store management, sorting and cell autonomy. L3.G4 is the Salvagnini fiber laser cutting system designed to combine accessibility, rigidity, efficiency and simple use. At EuroBLECH, it is configured with a 10 kW high power density source, LTWS store-tower with 10 trays and MCU sorting device. The ACUT option is used to cut sheet metal up to 20 mm in appropriately treated compressed air, depending on the source power, with productivity similar to cutting in nitrogen and at a lower cost.

16

For the very first time, at EuroBLECH Salvagnini is presenting APVS, the new artificial vision application integrated with an APC2 adaptive sensor. With APVS, a camera detects any cutting losses, even in complex operating conditions, improving process control, preventing waste and increasing the laser’s autonomy during operation and when restarting after an anomaly. The MCU automatic sorting device also has a broader application range: it manages thicknesses from 0.5 to 20 mm and weights up to 90 kg for each manipulator, which becomes 180 kg when the two gripping devices work together. The multi-gripping and double-picking modes increase flexibility and reduce picking times by over 25%. The cut parts can be made available immediately on the independent mobile robots and transferred to the technologies downstream.

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

The major new feature of the P-Robot is, for the first time, the downstream integration of the P2-2520HG panel bender, and a 135 ton, 3000 mm B3.ATA press brake with ATA and ATA.L devices. The P2 implements the majority of processing jobs; B3 completes double negative bends, out-of-range bends and secondary forming. The new P2-2520HG also extends compact panel bending to high-thickness machining, while RVS recognizes and independently processes different parts coming from the laser.

Visit Salvagnini at EuroBLECH 2026: Hall 11, Stand D94

The result is a coordinated path, from metal sheet to finished part, in which cutting, sorting, logistics, robotized panel bending and bending work together only which required by production.

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

At EuroBLECH, TRUMPF is presenting the new generation of its most productive punching machine, the TruPunch 5000. The high-tech company has focused in particular on improving the machine’s reliability, productivity, and user-friendliness.

“We are seeing a growing demand for punched sheet metal parts, particularly in the energy and electronics industries, which are currently among the fastest-growing sectors. With the new TruPunch 5000, we’re helping our customers produce high volumes costeffectively and automatically,” says Michael Steimle, product manager at TRUMPF.

Greater transparency for higher productivity The new machine control system - the integrated “Vision Equipment Pro” camera system - and a second monitor ensure greater transparency in production. The new machine control system transmits the machine’s process and status data to TRUMPF’s “Smart View” digital service. Machine operators can view this information on a dashboard from any location and take early corrective action to prevent impending downtime. In addition, up to ten integrated cameras capture the machine’s work area. Production staff can access these images at any time and from any location, for example at the setup station. Furthermore, a second screen can display productionrelated information, such as camera images of the machines or data from TRUMPF’s Oseon software. In the future, machine updates can also be installed without a service technician on site. Looking ahead, TRUMPF plans to offer the “Remote Operation Support” service for the TruPunch 5000 as well. This will allow TRUMPF to troubleshoot the machine remotely at the customer’s site. “This enables our customers, for example, to run production overnight without the need for on-site personnel,” says Steimle.

pressbrakebuyersguide.com

Machine control as the foundation for AI-based automation With the new machine control system, TRUMPF is laying the foundation for highly flexible and future-proof automation in the TruPunch 5000. At EuroBLECH, for the first time, the company is showcasing an AI-supported solution for the automated sorting of small parts. The intelligent cameras detect the position of the parts, allowing a robot to pick them up and sort them without any programming effort. This reduces downtime and increases manufacturing productivity. With the new TruPunch 5000, TRUMPF has significantly simplified operation. An improved safety concept shortens the operator’s walking distances and reduces downtime. TRUMPF has also made tool setup more user-friendly. Proven technology for a wide range of manufacturing tasks

TruPunch 5000 as part of a directly interlinked manufacturing system

With the new TruPunch 5000, TRUMPF maintains the proven performance specifications of the previous model. With 22 metric tons of punching force, the machine processes sheet metal up to eight millimeters thick at a rate of up to 1,600 strokes per minute. In addition to punching, it also performs complex forming operations such as embossing and drawing. The open machine frame allows for high flexibility with different component sizes and ensures easy access to the machine – even in highly automated systems. Furthermore, the active die on the TruPunch 5000 enables highquality, low-scratch surfaces, greater forming heights, and higher process reliability for demanding punching and forming applications. The TruPunch 5000 is suitable for both small-batch manufacturers and high-volume producers. Typical applications range from control cabinet construction and components for data centers to intricate trim and functional parts.

At EuroBLECH, TRUMPF is showcasing the TruPunch 5000 as part of a directly interlinked manufacturing system. The “SheetMaster” automation system places the punched parts onto a buffer conveyor belt. This belt automatically transports them to the TruBend Center bending cell, where a manipulator picks them up and bends them. Unlike in traditional line production, the TRUMPF solution keeps the material flow flexible. Users can, for instance, also return the components to the warehouse or transfer them to a mobile robot for further transport. This makes the system suitable for manufacturing a wide variety of components and helps sheet metal fabricators position themselves for the future. The flexibility in material flow allows the TruPunch 5000 and the TruBend Center 7030 to achieve their full productivity even at different processing speeds. If one machine is operating at a higher capacity than the other, an integrated buffer storage system balances the material flow, while scrap sheets can be used in parallel for other processes. In this way, the solution combines the advantages of direct interlinking with high flexibility and consistently high utilization of both machines. “With our directly interlinked system, the user can individually define the optimal material flow for each part and fully leverage the machines’ productivity. This flexibility is unique in the sheet metal fabrication market to date,” says Product Manager Sebastian Götz.

STR Revolutionises Heavy-Duty Bending with the New 600-Ton Tandem Electric Press Brake System STR, a pioneer in technological innovation for sheet metal deformation, officially announces the global market launch of its revolutionary Tandem bending solution. This extraordinary system consists of two fully electric 300-ton press brakes operating in perfect synchronicity to deliver a combined bending force of 600 tons. With this cuttingedge solution, STR addresses the growing demand from manufacturing companies and heavy steel fabrication sectors for highly energyefficient machinery that refuses to compromise on power, flexibility, and environmental sustainability. The new STR system shatters the traditional paradigm that heavy-duty bending must rely exclusively on hydraulic technology, proving that direct-drive electric technology is fully capable of handling the most demanding structural applications in the industry.

30

Maximum Flexibility, 10 Axes Control, and Advanced Sheet Followers

These automatic devices dynamically support the sheet metal throughout the entire bending cycle, perfectly matching the speed and angle of the upward stroke. This technology eliminates the risk of counter-bending deformations, guarantees perfect angular accuracy, and significantly improves operator safety by reducing manual handling.

The true operational core of the new STR system lies in its modular Tandem architecture and premium technical specifications. Each machine features an advanced 10-axes CNC configuration, allowing absolute control over the entire bending process. This guarantees maximum geometric accuracy even when executing highly complex part profiles or off-center bending sequences.

Furthermore, the Tandem layout allows the two 300-ton electric press brakes to operate as a single unified 600-ton machine for exceptionally long and thick profiles. Alternatively, the system can be decoupled in just moments to function as two completely independent 300-ton bending units, doubling production capacity for standard components and optimising workshop layout.

To ensure safe and flawless handling of large, heavy parts, the system is equipped with heavy-duty sheet followers (sheet support systems).

Sustainability, Efficiency, and Millimetric Precision

A Greener and Digitised Work Environment

At the heart of the STR press brake is a Direct Drive system powered by next-generation servomotors. Eliminating hydraulic oil entirely not only removes fluid disposal costs and environmental risks but also slashes energy consumption by up to 50% compared to conventional hydraulic systems. The motors draw electrical power exclusively during the active bending stroke, dropping to nearzero consumption during standby, programming, and tool-setup phases.

STR designed this new press brake with a strong focus on operator wellbeing and Industry 4.0 integration. The electric direct drive ensures an exceptionally quiet work environment, drastically lowering ambient noise levels and reducing operator fatigue compared to traditional hydraulic plants.

The absence of hydraulic components also eliminates thermal expansion issues, ensuring precise, millimetric repeatability from the very first to the last part of the day. Driven by a sophisticated CNC system and realtime dynamic crowning sensors, the machine instantly compensates for any structural deflections, eliminating material waste even when processing high-tensile steel alloys.

Press Brake Catalogue

Hybrid Press Brakes When deciding to purchase a new press brake, there are many factors to consider. One important factor is selecting the type of machine drive system that will suit your production requirements, purchasing budget and running costs.

Hybrid press brakes combine both hydraulic and electric elements, achieving a more energy efficient drive system with improved performance.

Hybrid systems use a smaller hydraulic oil tank, leading to a more efficient design and lower maintenance costs when an oil change is required.

Hybrid press brakes use a bi-directional servo electric drive system to pump oil to the hydraulic cylinders. Compared with a traditional hydraulic system where the pump is running continuously, even when the machine is idle, a hybrid system is only working when motion is required. This means that hybrid systems consume very little energy when idle and are more energy efficient when working.

When it comes to noise output, hybrid systems are quieter than hydraulic machines due to the lower sound levels of the servo electric drives compared with traditional hydraulic pump motors and that they are only running while the machine is being operated.

The TruBend Series 5000 TRUMPF’s most successful bending machine worldwide. This means from programming, to setup, to bending, production productivity will be unmatched. Innovative features such as the lower tool displacement and the 6-axis backgauge provide you with complete production freedom.

The .SUPERIOR press brake, engineered with great care for details, is a high quality machine. We studied the framework flections so we could design a product that reacts in the most appropriate and responsive way to the mechanical solicitations, which guarantees a stable structure.

Press brakes are operated by an inverter that, combined with a highperformance pump, controls the main motor and activates it only when the machine starts running: this means zero consumption during standby. However, energy savings are also guaranteed during operation thanks to the Pressure Control system that only provides the necessary force for the bending step with a reduction in cycle times. With the CNC, consumption and operating pressure values can be viewed in real time.

Beyond Standard: 70 Years of Engineering Large-Scale Metal Forming Solutions for the World’s Most Demanding Manufacturers In today’s sheet metal forming market, it has never been easier to find a machine. Across the world, manufacturers are presented with an ever-growing number of options, many offering similar specifications, comparable technologies and increasingly competitive pricing. Press brakes and shears have become highly sophisticated products, and competition is fierce among suppliers seeking to differentiate themselves through speed, features or cost. Yet for many industrial manufacturers, especially those operating in heavy fabrication, infrastructure, energy, transportation and other demanding sectors, the real challenge is not finding a machine. It is finding the right solution. Standard equipment undoubtedly has its place in modern manufacturing, and it serves countless production environments effectively. But some applications demand more. They require larger dimensions, higher capacities, unique workflows, specialised automation or production concepts that simply cannot be accommodated by an off-the-shelf machine.

42

For these companies, success depends not on adapting their production processes to a machine, but on finding a partner capable of adapting the machine to their production reality. This is where ADIRA has built its reputation. As ADIRA celebrates its 70th anniversary in 2026, the Portuguese manufacturer continues to reinforce its position as one of the world’s leading specialists in sheet metal forming solutions. Over seven decades of continuous development, the company has evolved alongside the industry, accumulating knowledge, refining engineering methodologies and developing the manufacturing capabilities required to solve increasingly complex production challenges.

important. As Mr. José Veiga, one of the most experienced ADIRA’s sales manager often remarks: “If we have been doing this for 70 years, we must be doing something right, and we have certainly learned a great deal along the way.” That accumulated know-how has become one of ADIRA’s greatest competitive advantages. The company does not simply manufacture equipment. It develops solutions based on decades of practical experience, customer collaboration and real-world applications across thousands of installations worldwide.

In a market where new manufacturers emerge every year, longevity alone does not guarantee success. However, surviving and growing for seventy years in a highly demanding industrial sector says something

Beyond Standard: 70 Years of Engineering Large-Scale Metal Forming Solutions

Engineering Without Compromise Industrial production rarely fits neatly into predefined standards. Every factory has its own constraints, objectives and operational realities. Material dimensions differ. Product geometries vary. Available space, workforce requirements and productivity goals can change considerably from one application to another. While many machine builders focus their efforts on standardisation, ADIRA has maintained a different philosophy. Rather than asking customers to adapt their production processes to available machinery, the company starts by understanding the manufacturing challenge itself. This approach allows engineering teams to develop solutions specifically designed around the customer’s requirements, creating equipment that becomes an integral part of the production process rather than a limitation within it.

44

The result is a level of flexibility that extends far beyond machine configuration. Whether the challenge involves exceptionally long bending lengths, elevated tonnage requirements, tandem systems, complex automation or integration into existing production lines, ADIRA possesses both the engineering expertise and the manufacturing capacity required to transform ambitious concepts into industrial reality. For many customers, this capability represents the difference between buying a machine and investing in a long-term production solution.

Built for the Applications Others Avoid Developing large-scale metal forming equipment requires considerably more than simply increasing machine dimensions. As capacity grows, so do the engineering challenges.

Structural stability, synchronisation, repeatability, material handling, operator safety and long-term reliability become increasingly critical. Maintaining precision across large working lengths or under demanding tonnage conditions requires specialist knowledge that can only be acquired through years of practical experience. This is one of the areas where ADIRA has developed a particularly strong reputation. The company’s Heavy Duty press brakes and guillotine shears are found in production environments where reliability is not optional and where equipment performance directly impacts production output. These are applications involving large components, demanding materials and continuous production requirements. Behind each project lies a combination of engineering expertise, manufacturing capability and close customer collaboration that allows the final solution to be adapted to the reality of the operation.

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

The objective is simple: to provide customers with exactly what they need rather than expecting them to settle for the closest available alternative.

Premium European Engineering Backed by Manufacturing Capability

A Partnership Measured in Decades

The ability to design a solution is important. The ability to manufacture that solution consistently and reliably is equally critical.

Perhaps the greatest demonstration of engineering quality is not what happens on the day a machine is installed. It is what happens twenty or thirty years later. A recent example comes from ADIRA’s long-standing relationship with Portuguese lighting manufacturer DAEL. More than three decades ago, DAEL faced a highly specific production challenge: manufacturing 12-metre lighting poles in a single piece rather than producing them in shorter sections. After evaluating different suppliers, the company ultimately selected ADIRA to develop the required solution. The answer was an innovative tandem press brake configuration, allowing two machines to operate synchronously as one system and achieve bending lengths that were uncommon at the time. According to DAEL, those machines continue to operate daily today, forming a central part of its production process after nearly thirty years of intensive use.

Every customised project developed by ADIRA ultimately depends on the company’s industrial capability to transform engineering concepts into robust, high-performance equipment. Over seventy years of manufacturing experience, ADIRA has developed the expertise, infrastructure and production processes necessary to execute projects ranging from standard machines to highly specialised installations. This combination of engineering flexibility and manufacturing capacity continues to distinguish the company in an increasingly crowded marketplace. While many suppliers compete primarily on price, ADIRA competes on value. While others focus on standardisation, ADIRA continues to invest in adaptability. And while some manufacturers emphasise short-term acquisition costs, ADIRA remains focused on delivering solutions designed to create value over decades.

Looking Ahead The future of manufacturing will require more than faster machines and additional automation. As products become more specialised and production requirements more demanding, manufacturers will increasingly seek partners capable of understanding unique challenges and developing solutions tailored to specific objectives. After seventy years of continuous evolution, ADIRA remains committed to that mission, believing that the strongest industrial partnerships are built through trust, engineering excellence and a genuine understanding of customer needs. Those principles have guided ADIRA since 1956 and continue to shape every solution it develops today. Because in an industry increasingly driven by standardisation, true competitive advantage often comes from a different approach: engineering solutions around the customer, not asking the customer to adapt to the solution.

More importantly, when increased market demand eventually required additional capacity, DAEL returned to ADIRA. Not because the original equipment had reached the end of its life, but because the company needed to grow. The new investment consists of a new PH30060 Tandem solution featuring automated sheet positioning and part handling technologies designed to significantly increase productivity and operational efficiency. This type of long-term relationship cannot be achieved through specifications alone. It is built through reliability, technical competence and the confidence that a supplier will continue to support the customer throughout the entire lifecycle of the equipment.

Warcom at EuroBLECH 2026: Italian Engineering, Technology and Complete Sheet Metal Solutions

46

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

From 20 to 23 October 2026, Warcom will take part in EuroBLECH in Hanover, one of the world's leading international exhibitions dedicated to sheet metal working technologies. For the Italian manufacturer, the event represents an important opportunity to meet customers, partners and industry professionals from across the world, exchange views on the latest market developments, and present the broad technological expertise that has characterised Warcom for more than four decades.

Founded in 1979, Warcom designs and manufactures its machine tools entirely in Italy. Over the years, the company has developed a broad portfolio covering fiber laser cutting systems, press brakes and automation solutions, with technologies intended to address a wide range of production requirements. The portfolio extends from compact press brakes to large machines exceeding 4,000 tonnes, as well as from small-format fiber laser cutting systems to solutions for large formats and integrated material handling. This breadth reflects an approach focused on concrete production requirements. Rather than offering a standard solution for every application, Warcom develops technologies aimed at combining productivity, flexibility, reliability and operational efficiency, supporting manufacturers in optimising their processes according to their specific needs. At EuroBLECH 2026, the physical centrepiece of the Warcom stand will be the LOGICA 60-1250 electric press brake, with 60 tonnes of bending force and 1,250 mm of useful bending length. The machine represents one of the solutions currently offered by Warcom and has been designed to provide high performance within a compact footprint.

pressbrakebuyersguide.com

47

Warcom at EuroBLECH 2026 LOGICA combines precision, reliability, ease of use and build quality, while its full-electric architecture reflects the industry's growing focus on energy efficiency. Compared with conventional systems, the electric configuration is designed to reduce energy consumption and operating costs, while maintaining high bending performance and quality. For manufacturers increasingly focused on efficiency and sustainability, this combination of productivity and reduced energy demand represents an important factor when evaluating new equipment.

This ability to combine machine tools with automation is increasingly relevant in a manufacturing environment where productivity is closely linked to the efficiency of the entire process. Optimising individual machine performance is important, but so is ensuring that material flow, handling and machine operation work together as part of a coordinated production system.

Although LOGICA 60-1250 will be the machine physically displayed in Hanover, the exhibition will also provide an opportunity to discuss Warcom's wider range of technologies. Visitors will be able to meet the company's technical and sales team and learn more about its fiber laser cutting systems, press brake solutions and automation technologies.

For Warcom, this is also where technical consultancy becomes essential. A machine is not simply selected according to its nominal specifications; it must be evaluated in relation to the material being processed, production volumes, available space, workflow, automation requirements and the operator's needs. The direct dialogue made possible by an international exhibition such as EuroBLECH allows Warcom specialists to analyse these factors with visitors and discuss the most appropriate configuration for each application.

Particular attention will be given to integrated automation. Warcom designs and manufactures automatic loading, unloading, storage and material handling solutions internally, allowing these systems to be configured according to the characteristics of the machine and the customer's production requirements. The integration of automation with laser cutting technology can contribute to reducing manual handling, improving process continuity and increasing the autonomy of the production system.

The company's participation in EuroBLECH also reflects its broader international development strategy. While design, engineering and manufacturing remain firmly rooted in Italy, Warcom has continued to strengthen its presence in key markets by developing closer relationships with customers and partners worldwide. This approach is based on the belief that international growth is not only about exporting machines, but also about providing the expertise, consultancy and support needed to create long-term value for customers.

Visit Warcom at EuroBLECH 2026: Hall 11, Stand J78 48

Made in Italy is therefore not simply a statement of origin for Warcom. It represents an industrial model based on in-house engineering, manufacturing know-how and close control over the development and production of its technologies. The same philosophy applies to the company's approach to the market: listening to customer requirements, understanding production challenges and transforming them into practical technological solutions. EuroBLECH 2026 will provide the ideal setting to bring these principles together. Visitors will be able to see the LOGICA 60-1250 in person, discuss Warcom's broader range of technologies and automation solutions, and meet the team behind the machines. Most importantly, the exhibition will create a space for direct dialogue between manufacturer and market at a time when sheet metal processors are facing increasing pressure to improve productivity, flexibility and energy efficiency. For Warcom, participation in EuroBLECH is therefore about more than exhibiting a machine. It is an opportunity to demonstrate how Italian engineering, manufacturing expertise and customer-focused consultancy can work together to support the future of sheet metal processing. From compact solutions to largescale equipment, from fiber laser cutting to bending and automation, Warcom continues to develop technologies designed around real production needs. At EuroBLECH 2026, the company will once again bring that approach to an international audience: Italian engineering, Made in Italy manufacturing and a constant commitment to creating efficient, reliable and flexible production solutions for its customers.

Euromac FX Bend 3100: electric bending technology for precision, productivity and flexibility Sheet metal bending increasingly requires precision, repeatability and productivity, together with the flexibility to manage different materials, geometries and batch sizes. The Euromac FX Bend 3100 has been developed around these needs as a fully electric, standalone press brake for medium and large-format components. With a bending length of 3,060 mm and a maximum force of 1,000 kN, it combines extended working capacity with the mechanical rigidity, speed and process control of the FX Bend range.

Direct drive and bottom pull technology At the heart of the machine is a directdrive electric motor with bottom pull technology. Instead of pushing the ram from above, the system applies force by pulling from below. This configuration is designed to avoid deflection of the ball screw under load, supporting precision and reliability throughout the bending cycle. The direct drive, short screw and pull system also reduce the number of connections and moving components. Lower inertia enables rapid acceleration, followed by automatic deceleration as the punch approaches the material. FX Bend technology reaches rapid movement speeds of up to 200 mm/s, while the FX Bend 3100 has a specified Y-axis speed of up to 220 mm/s, a 300 mm stroke and a 520 mm opening between the table and ram. The result is fast positioning combined with controlled movement during bending.

A rigid structure for consistent results Accuracy over a working length of more than three metres depends on structural stability. The FX Bend range uses interconnected Meehanite monoblock frames designed to provide high rigidity and limit deformation under load.

50

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

This construction supports maximum tonnage and consistent precision throughout the bending length, including when processing long components. The frame also facilitates access to the working area and lateral tool removal, helping operators use the full bending length efficiently.

Working capacity and flexible positioning The 3,060 mm bending length and 1,000 kN force make the FX Bend 3100 suitable for manufacturers that process larger parts or require a broader working area within a standalone machine. Its increased tooling capacity allows more tools to be arranged on the press brake, reducing the need for complete reconfiguration when production moves between different components. Part positioning is managed by a six-axis backgauge with independent programmable movements on the X1, X2, R1, R2, Z1 and Z2 axes. Lightweight indexes support rapid acceleration and shorter positioning times between bends. On the FX Bend 3100, speeds reach up to 800 mm/s on the X axes, 600 mm/s on the R axes and 800 mm/s on the Z axes, supporting efficient multi-bend sequences and varied part geometries.

Tooling and setup options The machine can be configured with Promecam fast clamping or Wila tooling systems. Promecam enables quick upper-tool clamping, frontal removal and automatic punch alignment, with manual crowning available according to the configuration. The Wila solution combines pneumatic upper-tool clamping, hydraulic lower-tool clamping and a multi-section crowning system. Both options are intended to simplify setup and reduce the time required to move from one production job to another.

pressbrakebuyersguide.com

Angle control and operator safety Sheet thickness, mechanical properties, bending length and offcentre loads can all affect the final angle. For applications requiring greater angular accuracy, Active Angle Control monitors and adjusts the angle during bending, compensating for variations in material and forming conditions. This reduces sampling tests and manual corrections. Data M. can also control the angle at different points along the bend, while additional support systems are available for long, heavy or particularly thin workpieces. Advanced guarding technologies allow the operator to work safely near the tooling while maintaining high approach speeds. RapidBend Ultimate minimizes low-speed movement by allowing the punch to remain at higher speed closer to the material before entering the bending phase. Depending on the selected guarding configuration, monitored workingarea speeds of up to 25 mm/s are supported, reducing non-productive time without compromising protection around the pressing beam.

FX Touch control and energy efficiency The standalone FX Bend 3100 uses the FX Touch interface. Its CNC control includes an antiglare touchscreen, USB and Wi-Fi connectivity, DXF import and 2.5D graphical visualization, with an optional 3D visualizer. Machine setup, part programming and bending parameters can therefore be managed through

a visual environment directly at the press brake. The control also supports two-way data exchange with business management systems. Energy efficiency is another important element of the electric architecture. The FX Bend 3100 has a reported consumption of 4.8 kWh. The absence of a conventional hydraulic bending drive also simplifies the machine and reduces the number of hydraulic components associated with the main movement, limiting oil-related maintenance requirements.

A standalone press brake for varied production The FX Bend 3100 combines force, working length, rapid electric movement, structural rigidity, sixaxis positioning and flexible tooling in one standalone platform. Its design addresses the complete bending process: tool preparation, part positioning, angle control and repeatable production cycles. For manufacturers handling varied materials, part sizes and batch quantities, it balances accuracy, productivity, ease of use and energy efficiency. The machine is manufactured and assembled by Euromac at its headquarters in Formigine, near Modena, Italy.

Reengineered from the frame up: ACCURL launches the Genius PLUS X press brake ACCURL has launched the Genius PLUS X, the flagship bending platform in its global X Series portfolio, co-engineered with MicroStep Europa. The hybrid-servo press brake was redesigned from the frame outwards rather than carried over from the previous generation, and will be shown at EuroBLECH 2026 in Hanover, Hall 13, Stand E138. The series covers 60 to 600 t of press force across bending lengths from 2000 mm to 6000 mm, in 13 models. Frame geometry was developed in 3D CAD and validated with full FEM stress and deformation simulation before any part was cut, giving 15% higher overall frame rigidity than the previousgeneration Genius PLUS and a stable basis for repeatable results across the full working length. “In the X Series we did not simply improve an existing generation. We rebuilt this press brake starting from the machine frame, to meet Germangrade global manufacturing standards for precision, stability and operator safety,” says Cameron Lee, CEO of ACCURL CNC Machine Tools. “Genius PLUS X brings consistent end-to-end bend quality for both small complex components and heavy long-profile workpieces, which suits job shops and production facilities across the EU, Australia and worldwide markets.”

to a hundredth, and take the safety system without slowing the cycle. We fed that into the design from the frame outwards, and ACCURL built it. The Genius PLUS X came out of that exchange, and neither side would have arrived at it alone.”

Drive, accuracy and handling The EVO-GO hybrid-servo drive powers the pump on demand rather than running it continuously, which lowers energy consumption against a comparable conventional

hydraulic press brake. Axis configuration is flexible from 4 to 12 axes, covering simple parts through to box and tray work. The BGA multi-axis backgauge travels at 1000 mm/s on the X axis and positions to 0.01 mm repeat accuracy. Working with the ACCURL ULTRA CNC crowning system, it holds uniform bend angles across the full table with no angle drift toward the beam centre.

MicroStep Europa, ACCURL’s technology partner for the European market, describes the collaboration this way: “European job shops told us what a press brake has to do on day one: hold the angle across the full length, gauge fast and repeat

Aliko CNC Vario Die – An Automatic lower tool The Aliko CNC Vario Die is designed to make bending operations faster, safer, and more productive. Instead of manually changing heavy lower tools, the required V-die can be adjusted automatically in just seconds directly through the CNC control panel. This significantly reduces setup time and allows production to continue with minimal interruptions. In addition to improving productivity, the Aliko CNC Vario Die offers an important safety advantage. Conventional tool changes require operators to manually lift, move, and position heavy lower tools. By eliminating the need for frequent physical tool handling, the automatic Vario Die significantly reduces heavy lifting during everyday operation.

62

This improves operator safety and ergonomics while also making the bending process more efficient. With its combination of fast automatic adjustment, shorter setup times, improved ergonomics, and increased production flexibility, the Aliko CNC Vario Die is an effective solution for modern bending operations where productivity, flexibility, and operator safety are equally important.

Durable and Customizable Design Particular attention has been paid to durability, reliability, and adjustment accuracy in the design of the Aliko CNC Vario Die. It can be precisely positioned in 10 mm increments. Depending on the model, the available V-die range extends from 20 mm up to 400 mm. Even across this wide adjustment range, changing the V-die from its narrowest to its widest position takes less than one minute. The maximum load capacity varies depending on the model, ranging from 250 t/m for the smallest Vario Die to 500 t/m for the largest model. For applications involving high-strength materials and high bending forces, rollers can be added to the edges of the V-opening.

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

The rollers reduce friction between the workpiece and the die, helping to make more efficient use of the available bending force. Thanks to its wide adjustment range, a single Aliko CNC Vario Die can replace multiple sets of conventional single-V dies. Instead of stopping production to remove, transport, and install different lower tools, the operator can simply run the bending program to the control panel. After which the Cybelec CybTouch control panel calculates the needed V-die and automatically runs the Aliko CNC Vario die to the needed positioning. This makes the CNC Vario Die particularly effective in high-mix, low-volume production, where material thicknesses, workpieces, and bending requirements change frequently. Fast automatic adjustment significantly reduces setup time between jobs, making small-batch production more efficient and cost-effective. The CNC Vario Die can also be configured to meet specific production requirements. Both the adjustment range and tool length can be customized if the standard models do not provide a suitable solution. In addition, the CNC Vario Die can be installed as a retrofit solution to any make or model of a press brake. By minimizing conventional lower tool changes and dramatically reducing setup times, the Aliko CNC Vario Die can increase press brake efficiency by up to 87%. Its combination of fast automatic adjustment, a wide V-die range, reduced manual handling, and flexible configuration makes it particularly well suited for modern production environments where frequent job changes and short production runs are common. The result is simple: less time spent changing tools and more time spent bending.

Aliko performs press brake modernizations with the expertise of a machine manufacturer, using components that are often the same as those in new machine production. Thanks to this, Aliko can offer a comprehensive selection of readymade modules, which can be installed on older machines without additional tailoring. In addition to Aliko press brakes, these Retrofits can be made to other manufacturers press brakes as well. The productivity of a press brake is mainly influenced by the time spent on programming and tool change. For this reason, Retrofit solutions such as the Aliko CNC Vario Die, is highly effective in accelerating the bending process. A good example of this is EHT press brake from 2010, featuring a 9,000 mm bending table and a pressing force of 1,600 tonnes. Its original 50–300 mm Vario Die was upgraded to an Aliko CNC Vario Die 50–400. This customized solution was developed by Aliko´s engineering team to meet the customer’s specific requirements. The Aliko CNC Vario Die 50–400 essentially combines two Vario Dies into one. The operator can manually switch between the 50–300 mm and 150–400 mm V-die ranges. Both the Aliko CNC Vario Die 50–300 and 150–400 are adjusted through the CNC control, providing a wide v-die range while maintaining the benefits of automatic V-die adjustment.

To improve bending efficiency and achieve accurate bending results across the entire 9,000 mm working length, an Aliko Vario Crowning 400 system was also installed. The Aliko CNC Vario Crowning 400 consists of servo-driven, self-locking wedges that compensate for deflection during bending. The wedges are adjusted automatically by servomotors through the CNC control. They are positioned at 500 mm intervals along the bending table, and each wedge can be adjusted with an accuracy of 0.01 mm. This high level of adjustment accuracy makes the system particularly suitable for demanding bending applications where precise control of the bending angle across the entire workpiece is essential. It is especially beneficial when working with demanding materials, long workpieces, and applications where a consistent bending result is required from one end of the workpiece to the other. For manufacturers with mechanically sound older press brakes, an Aliko retrofit can provide a practical way to extend the machine’s service life, improve productivity, reduce manual work, and introduce modern bending technology without investing in an entirely new press brake. Flexible Smart Job Shop (FSJ) combines stand-alone technologies that can work independently or collaborate on convergent productions. Cutting, sorting, logistics, robotized panel bending and press-brake bending work together only when required by production, creating a coordinated path from metal sheet to finished part.

Gizelis to Showcase Flexible Robotic and Energy-Efficient Press Brake Solutions at EuroBLECH Press brake manufacturer Gizelis has confirmed its participation at this year’s EuroBLECH exhibition, where the company will showcase two of its latest innovations designed to increase flexibility, productivity and sustainability in sheet metal manufacturing. Key advantages include energy savings of up to 60%, noise reduction of more than 20 dBA, and a simplified design that eliminates many of the fittings, pipes and hoses associated with traditional hydraulic systems. The maintenance-free architecture improves machine reliability while reducing servicing requirements. The Dual Servo system also supports more sustainable manufacturing practices by substantially reducing hydraulic oil consumption, helping fabricators lower their environmental footprint and improve operational efficiency.

Taking centre stage on the stand will be the G-BEND ROBOBEND, an innovative press brake automation solution that uniquely combines robotic operation with conventional manual bending capability in a single machine platform. Unlike traditional robotic press brake systems that are dedicated solely to automated production, the G-BEND ROBOBEND allows manufacturers to seamlessly switch between fully automated robotic operation and conventional manual operation. This flexibility enables fabricators to maximise machine utilisation by using manual mode for prototypes, small-batch production, and complex parts, while quickly transitioning to automated mode for highvolume and repeat production runs.

Visitors to EuroBLECH will have the opportunity to see both technologies firsthand and learn how Gizelis’ solutions help sheet metal manufacturers improve flexibility, reduce operating costs, and increase productivity in an increasingly competitive manufacturing environment.

Clever Goes Electric The first fully electric press brake from Clever Solutions in Joure, a company that supplies press brakes, automation solutions and bending software under its own brand, will be shown for the first time at EuroBLECH 2026 in Hanover.

66

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

The machine is currently being built at Arge Systems in Italy and will be presented in the MiniCell robotic cell on the Arge Systems stand, Hall 12, Stand D66. The press brake is equipped with Lazer Safe. “We work with the safest safety system available for press brakes, so the question was never whether it would be fitted to our electric machine,” says Sales Director Frans Fontein. Clever Solutions did not start out as a machine manufacturer. The company grew out of Morris Solutions, founded by Morris Giaccone in 2011, which built its reputation by retrofitting and servicing press brakes of every make and age. Years of rebuilding other manufacturers’ machines teach you what remains viable in a press brake. The frame can last for decades. It is the control system, electronics and safety technology that ultimately determine when a machine can no longer keep up with modern requirements. That knowledge now determines what is included in Clever’s own product range: servo-hydraulic, hybrid and electric press brakes, the C-Flex correction system, Metalix MBend and MRobot software, and robotic automation ranging from stand-alone cells to complete production lines. Lazer Safe is fitted as standard to Clever Solutions’ press brakes, and the electric machine is no exception. Morris Solutions is the Dutch dealer for the system. A laser field monitors the area directly beneath the upper tooling and stops the machine as soon as anything enters that zone. This allows the machine to close at full speed up to the muting point, while the operator continues to hold the workpiece. Safety is therefore not something the operator has to manage himself; it is something the machine takes care of. The new electric press brake is also equipped with Lazer Safe. Its electric servo drive responds immediately and delivers precisely the required bending force, making the bending process fast, quiet and highly accurate. In Hanover, the electric press brake is not presented as a stand-alone machine. It is integrated into the MiniCell, Arge Systems’ compact robotic cell. The MiniCell has been designed so that raw material can be continuously fed into the cell, and finished parts can be removed without interrupting the bending process. The cell also demonstrates an automatic tool-changing system. It is therefore designed for automated production and 24/7 operation. Visitors will consequently see the electric press brake not as an isolated machine, but as part of a fully automated production process. This is a deliberate choice. The very characteristics that make an electric press brake attractive to sheet-metal processors are precisely the characteristics on which automated production is built. These include speed, accuracy, energy efficiency and a high degree of repeatability.

67

Clever Goes Electric This means that the machine is not only suitable as a standalone press brake but can also be integrated effectively into larger robotic systems and complete automation projects. Machines are only part of the story. Clever Solutions supplies complete automation solutions, ranging from compact stand-alone robots to complete traverse systems, together with the Cube storage system for bending tools and Metalix MBend and MRobot as bending and programming software. Behind all this is an in-house service team. This sequence is no coincidence: the company started with service and retrofit work and continues to maintain the machines it supplies. “Our robotic solutions are flexible in use. If the robot is not running, you can simply operate the machine manually. Lazer Safe can be switched over quickly in this situation. For one-off parts and small series, that freedom is essential. The combination is what makes it powerful: the same machine, with the robot for series production and manually for one-off parts,” says Fontein.

The machine can be seen at EuroBLECH 2026 in Hanover, on the Arge Systems stand in Hall 12, Stand D66.

About Morris Solutions Morris Solutions in Joure specialises in retrofitting press brakes of all makes, as well as plate rolls, tube bending machines and cutting machines. The company replaces controls, electronics and safety systems on machines whose frames are still in good condition. It is brandindependent and installs control systems from ESA Automation and Delem. An in-house stock of spare parts and control systems enables the company to provide immediate service, 24 hours a day. In the Netherlands, Morris Solutions is the market leader in press brake retrofits.

68

More about Clever Solutions Clever Solutions in Joure supplies press brakes, automation solutions and bending software under its own brand, with roots in the retrofit and servicing of press brakes of every make. The product range includes servo-hydraulic, hybrid and electric press brakes, angle measurement and deflection correction technology, Metalix bending software, robotic automation, and the company maintains the machines it sells. In addition to machines and automation, Clever Solutions also develops its own technology. C-Flex is a measuring system developed by the company’s in-house engineering department that measures deflection in the press brake structure in real time, using sensors in the side frames, upper beam and lower beam. Combined with hydraulically active crowning, the system continuously corrects the deflection during bending, across the full length of the crowning and at the positions of the Y1 and Y2 cylinders. This keeps the bending angle stable across the entire product length, even with varying material batches, different rolling directions and products with holes close to the bending line. The operator does not need to make manual adjustments.

Accelerating Part Production with TRUMPF’s AI-Powered Laser Welding Cell A shortage of skilled workers, frequently changing components, and limited production space pose challenges for many manufacturing companies. At EuroBLECH 2026, TRUMPF is introducing the new TruLaser Weld 3000, a compact robotic laser welding cell that can be programmed significantly faster thanks to AI while requiring very little space.

From CAD model to finished program in half the time The new TruLaser Weld 3000 can be programmed either directly at the machine in the conventional way or offline using the TruTops Weld software, for example from the office. This is particularly advantageous when working with frequently changing components: Employees can create new programs on the computer while the machine continues production.

70

In addition, welding programs based on CAD data are created significantly faster than with conventional programming. The “TeachLine Touch” function can then be used to correct minor deviations. Weld points can be repositioned simply by tapping on the machine screen. This reduces programming and setup time by up to 50 percent. Corrections are even easier with the “TeachLine AI” feature extension. An AI-based process detects deviations in the weld points and corrects the robot path according to the actual component configuration. This allows the system to be set up more quickly for new components.

Another advantage: Even less experienced employees can operate the laser welding cell. Smaller welding optics expand the range of parts that can be processed Newly developed welding optics approximately 40 percent smaller - expand the range of applications for the TruLaser Weld 3000. Thanks to its compact design, the welding robot can reach even hard-to-access areas within a component, such as the interiors of deep housings, crates, or boxes. This enables users to automate the production of a wider range of parts and reduce manual rework.

PRESS BRAKE BUYER’S GUIDE

“The TruLaser Weld 3000 provides competitive advantages, particularly for companies that manufacture high-quality sheet metal assemblies and housings in small batches with a wide variety of variants. It enables stable processes, short cycle times, and thus a high degree of flexibility in production,” says Moritz Berger, product manager at TRUMPF. TRUMPF relies on proven laser welding technologies to ensure process stability and weld quality. These include BrightLine Scan, which is a combination of a highfrequency scanner and motorized focus adjustment. It enables greater gap bridging of up to 0.4 millimeters and wider welds for better tolerance compensation. The BrightLine Weld function distributes the laser power between an inner and outer core in the laser light cable. This reduces spatter - particularly during deep welding and ensures high-quality results. For larger gaps of up to approximately 1.5 millimeters or materials that require

filler metal, FusionLine combines the laser with filler wire for targeted material deposition. Small footprint, great flexibility The TruLaser Weld 3000’s protective enclosure has a footprint of 3.65 x 3.65 meters, making it about 24 percent smaller than the smallest version of the TruLaser Weld 5000. This means that the laser welding cell ideal for confined production environments. Despite its compact design, the machine can process pallet-sized components thanks to a KUKA Iontec robot with a 2,100-millimeter reach.

To align the components, the user can choose between a conventional welding table, a tilt-rotate positioner, or a compact rotary changer for loading and unloading parallel to production. With a laser power of three or four kilowatts, the TruLaser Weld 3000 welds stainless steel and structural steel up to eight millimeters of material thickness, as well as aluminum up to six millimeters. Typical applications include equipment and plant engineering, sheet metal components for data centers, medical technology, and the kitchen and food industries.
