a note from your luminary circle team When we drafted the first version of this newsletter from our desk at the Cooper Center, Daffodil Days was around the corner, spring break was just about to begin, and there had been no COVID-19 cases reported in the U.S. That was just two weeks ago. As most of you are likely aware, the Foundation staff along with half of all Cooper Center residents are now working from home, Daffodil Days was cancelled, spring break took an unexpected extension, and as I write this there are 112 confirmed cases in NM, and a total of 65,512 cases of COVID-19 in the U.S. as reported by the Centers for Disease Control. What a difference these past two weeks have made. To ensure you have access to the most up-to-date information during this time, as well as care options, Presbyterian has a web page dedicated to keeping you informed and giving you an easy way to find answers to your COVID-19 related inquiries. (see page 5) In this issue you also will get a summary of results from our annual member survey. We rely on your feedback to make program improvements and measure how we are doing. If you missed it this year, the next member survey will be sent out again in December. Extraordinary People Rising to An Extraordinary Challenge
Despite the extraordinary challenges we're facing, our Presbyterian teams have risen to the challenge of COVID-19 and are doing phenomenal work. In just 48 hours, Presbyterian employees turned a parking lot at PRESNow location at 4515 Coors Blvd. NW into a drive-through COVID-19 testing site. In the eight days the site was active, we served more than 3500 people, of which 1900 required testing, with an average of 300 tests done per day. What an impressive effort! On March 23, we moved our drive-through testing to a new, larger site at Balloon Fiesta Park, where volume is expected to remain constant. To help with this extraordinary effort, the COVID-19 Response Fund has been created to support the special needs of our staff and care teams, as well as patients and families affected by this pandemic.

Helping You Navigate the COVID-19 Pandemic As you know, the situation with COVID-19 is changing rapidly. We are doing our best to keep all patients and members up to date on new guidance and additional measures we must take as an organization to keep our community and workforce safe. The best thing you can do right now is remain calm and stay informed. While this is a serious situation, we have taken precautions to keep employees and patients safe. For the most updated information, please visit the Presbyterian COVID-19 page regularly. All of our sites care for adults and children.

EVENT RECAP: DAFFODIL DAYS Although circumstances disallowed Daffodil Days from occurring this year, one of our hospice nurses took boxes of daffodils and placed them at Sunset Memorial and the Veterans Memorial in Santa Fe. Daffodils were also distributed to Homecare, Hospice, and Food Farmacy patients. Thanks to her, other Homes in Transition staff, and our own Foundation staff, we feel very good that not a single flower was thrown away.
FUN & FUNDING The Scott family, local owners of Spirit Halloween, and Luminary Circle members, recently presented Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation and the Children's Care Program at Presbyterian with a donation of $126,215. This is the largest donation from Spirit Halloween since the partnership began. Launched in 2006, Spirit Halloween's Spirit of Children program helps bring fun and funding to hospitals at Halloween and all year round. Spirit of Children's mission is to make hospitals less scary for kids and their families through support of the Child Life departments at more than 144 partner hospitals across the U.S. and Canada. Since 2007, the program has raised more than $671,000 for the Children's Care Program at Presbyterian, and $65 million nationwide.

While Luminary Circle liaisons will not be rounding on members who are inpatient or having procedures in person, to protect you from additional contact and comply with the visitation rules at the hospitals, we will be staying in touch through the hotline, email and text and will coordinate with the clinical staff on site.
