a note from your luminary circle team The holiday season is upon us. As we delight in the joy this season brings and reflect warmly on the past year, we are in awe of your continued generosity. This year, Luminary Circle grew by 20 households (wow!) and continued to support the health of our wonderful community – helping so many in need. As a Foundation, we also welcomed JooHee Berglund, Vice President of Major & Planned Giving, to our leadership team. Hear from JooHee on page 6. Looking forward to 2020, change is on the horizon. The expansion of Presbyterian Hospital is underway – if you’re a regular around the hospital, you’ve probably noticed some changes already! One big change for us is that our office has moved from Presbyterian Hospital to the Presbyterian Rev. Hugh A Cooper Administrative Center (more details on page 6). In light of these changes and in the spirit of gratitude, we want to ensure that we are doing all we can to meet your needs. We hope you will complete our annual survey to share your thoughts about your Luminary Circle experience. All responses are anonymous and confidential. EVENT RECAP: DONOR APPRECIATION RECEPTION While blustery conditions meant that the balloons did not glow this year, we were radiating with gratitude for our donors during the annual Donor Appreciation Reception. Attendees gathered for dinner, apple cider and hot cocoa. The evening concluded with a spectacular fireworks display.

100 We were overjoyed to join Marion Woodham in celebration of her 100th birthday recently! Marion is a cherished contributor to our story. Her late husband, Ray Woodham, helped start Presbyterian Healthcare Foundation in 1967. The couple has been involved with Presbyterian since 1952.
In October, celebrated artist and Luminary Circle member BC Nowlin generously donated three original works of art. The pieces are currently on display in the cafĂŠ at Presbyterian Rust Medical Center.

My professional career has been dedicated to engaging donors in the mission of non-profit organizations and helping them connect their passions with organizational opportunities. I spent 16 years fundraising in the Pacific Northwest for Pacific Lutheran University and the University of Oregon. Prior to joining Presbyterian, I spent two years working for the University of New Mexico Foundation leading fundraising for the Comprehensive Cancer Center. I believe in the power of philanthropy to transform communities and improve lives. It is a privilege to have a job where I get to help make a lasting impact. I look forward to hearing your stories and learning why Presbyterian is important to you.
