STRONGER TOGETHER, BECAUSE OF YOU
THE 2026 VILLAGE VICTORY CUP WAS ONE FOR THE AGES! PVM RESIDENTS BROUGHT THE ENERGY...AND YOU MADE IT POSSIBLE! The 2026 PVM Village Victory Cup came back with a BOOM on June 26 at Novi’s Vibe Credit Union Showplace! With the help of more than 100 volunteers and staff, more than 220 older adults from 15 PVM Villages competed, cheered, laughed, and made memories that will last a lifetime. Events included the Wellness Walk, Hoop Shoot, Bean Bag Toss, Puzzler, and Balloon Volleyball. And none of it would have happened without YOU. Because of your generosity, 100% of the Village Victory Cup—the venue, transportation, medals, equipment, uniforms, signage, lunch, and more was fully funded. Your donation made this stealth-wellness opportunity possible!
Bean bags were flying - so were the high scores! PVM residents brought their A-game.
Ready, set, GO! The Wellness Walk had residents racing to the finish with smiles every step of the way.
Nothing but net! PVM residents showed off their skills in the Hoop Shoot.
Piece by piece, the Puzzler brought out teamwork, strategy, and friendly competition!

Victory looks good on East Harbor! Congratulations to The Village of East Harbor for claiming the Village Victory Cup!
Back-to-back Spirit Award winners! Congratulations to The Village of St. Martha’s on another well-deserved win! The competition was fierce, the cheers were loud, and the smiles were contagious. But the Village Victory Cup is about more than winning—it’s about staying active, building friendships, and celebrating what older adults can accomplish together. Many residents train for months, making this event a year-round source of motivation and connection.
And the Winners Are... Congratulations to The Village of East Harbor for bringing home the 2026 Village Victory Cup for the first time in years! A standing ovation to The Village of St. Martha’s for earning the 2026 Spirit Award for the second Victory Cup in a row! Most of all, thank you. YOUR DONATION IN ACTION RESIDENT EMERGENCY HELP FUND: Bringing Hope When It Matters Most Every year around 200 PVM residents receive critical assistance through PVM’s Resident Emergency Help Fund. Thanks to your donation, older adults facing unexpected hardships have found relief from lingering fears and the comfort of knowing someone cares.
Because of your support, residents can receive up to $500 in emergency assistance for essential needs. The impact goes far beyond financial help, it also restores independence, brings peace of mind, and often replaces anxiety with gratitude. As we move into the fall months, the Resident Emergency Help Fund becomes increasingly strained as more residents seek assistance. Your continued support helps ensure this vital resource remains available when the next resident faces an unexpected crisis. Thank you for bringing hope, dignity, and reassurance to PVM residents when they need it most.
Many PVM residents live on very fixed incomes, with some receiving as little as a few hundred dollars per month. When an unexpected medical bill arrives, a wheelchair needs repair, or eyeglasses must be replaced, even a small expense can feel overwhelming. Your gift helps turn moments of worry into moments of hope.

PLANS WORTH MAKING Life gets busy, and it’s easy to put off conversations about wills and planning for the future. Most of us do. In fact, less than half of Americans have a will or estate plan.
A gift to PVM Foundation can take many forms — many cost nothing during your lifetime and can be adjusted anytime. Here are some of the most popular options: 1. Beneficiary Designations Including PVM Foundation as one of your beneficiaries is often the simplest way to give - no attorney required.
Having a plan is about more than finances – it is peace of mind for you and the people you love most. Without one, important decisions may be left to the courts and state law instead of you.
Simply update the beneficiary form with your bank or plan administrator for your IRA/retirement account or DonorAdvised Fund (DAF). 2. A Gift in Your Will or Trust We are glad to provide sample bequest language for you and your attorney to consider.
For many, that plan includes family, their faith, and causes that have shaped their lives. These are the causes we want to continue… a legacy that leads the way for generations to come.

SUPPORT AND GIVING TO PVM COMES FULL CIRCLE FOR ONE FAMILY A perfect example of PVM donations in action is Joan and Lloyd Geering. Years ago, the Geerings needed critical care for their mother. They found that care at The Village of Redford and became forever grateful. For over 20 years they have been giving generously to the PVM Foundation. Joan helped support Village projects at Lake Huron Woods, Westland, and Brush Park, the Gala, and more. Her donations were critical to the construction of the wellness and rehab center at The Village of East Harbor. They even donated in honor of their mother to name Geering Drive at East Harbor.

Today, Joan and her brother Lloyd are residents there, and they’re benefiting from the very center that their donation – along with yours – helped make possible. Before moving to East Harbor, Joan and Lloyd both suffered serious falls that greatly impacted their mobility and safety living in their family home. When they first arrived, even short walks were a challenge. But with determination, support, and access to the wellness center, they gradually built strength and confidence. Today, the Geerings are walking the halls, staying active, enjoying healthy meals and greater independence. That’s the power of your generosity.
