GREETINGS FRIENDS AND SUPPORTERS OF PVM!

Thank you for taking a few minutes to review this Annual Report for Presbyterian Villages of Michigan (PVM). This Report provides just a glimpse into PVM’s vital service to seniors and communities across Michigan’s lower peninsula. The map featured on the back cover highlights the locations of our communities and programs.

Our website, www.pvm.org, is a good way to stay connected with us, along with our future planned enhanced presence on social and digital media platforms. Please visit often and share these PVM outlets with your personal and professional networks.

On pages four and five we recognize residents, participants, staff, and board members who have served in our nation’s military. We salute their patriotic service and thank them for their personal sacrifices and noble commitments, especially as we begin to honor the 250th birthday of the United States of America throughout all of 2026.

The past 12-18 months marked numerous diverse achievements that have strengthened PVM’s organizational impacts. Of special note was the year-long celebration and recognition of our 80th anniversary. Other “Grand” occasions and accomplishments included:

• Serving more individuals and communities than ever before in PVM’s history.

• The Grand Opening of the Westland Center for PACE Southeast Michigan in Westland (with our partner Henry Ford Health), as well as continued progress on the broader master plan for the renewal and expansion of The Village of Westland campus.

• The Grand Opening of Court Street Village in Flint (with our partner the McFarlan Charitable Corporation).

• The Grand Opening of Phase II of The Village of Lake Huron Woods in Fort Gratiot (with our partner the Port Huron Housing Commission).

• The Grand Opening of the expansion at The Village of Rosebush Manor in Rosebush by the Rosebush Interfaith Retirement Community (a 20+ year collaboration of Catholic, Methodist, and Presbyterian Churches in central Michigan).

• The Grand Opening of PACE Northeast Michigan in Alpena (with our partner the Northeast Michigan Community Service Agency).

• The Grand Opening of the historic Dr. Violet T. Lewis Village in Detroit (with our partner Wallick Communities).

• The Grand Openings of two Telehealth Suites benefiting residents in the communities surrounding Lynn Street Manor in Onaway and Rosebush Manor in Rosebush.

• Commenced renovations at The Village of Oakland Woods in Pontiac, as well as continued progress on the broader master plan for the renewal and expansion of the campus.

• Established and began implementation of the 20252027 system-wide strategic priorities (see page six).

• Strengthened system-wide financial performance.

• Strengthened system-wide governance, executive, and administrative leadership.

• Strengthened local, regional, state, national and international advocacy.

• Continued conceptual planning and pre-development work on other expansions and new communities, programs, and services.

During this time, we have also welcomed hundreds of new residents, families, participants, employees, administrators, executives, board members, donors, and other stakeholders to the PVM team. VETERAN SPOTLIGHT

Russ

At 102 years old, Russ Matar reflects on a life shaped by service, faith, and gratitude. A proud World War II veteran, Russ served in the U.S. Navy Air Corps from 1943 to 1946, repairing aircraft and helping ensure pilots could fly safely. Stationed in the South Pacific near the end of the war, he witnessed the challenges of naval aviation firsthand.

Now a resident at PVM’s Village of Holly Woodlands, Russ says he “couldn’t be happier.” He credits his longevity to faith, positivity, and appreciation for life. His humility, patriotism, and enduring optimism continue to inspire those around him.
