Community appoints new human resources manager In December, Manor of the Plains welcomed Tasha Konrade as its new human resources manager. Prior to joining the community, Tasha had most recently served as the office coordinator/service coordinator at Prairie Independent Living Resource Center where she managed the company’s offices in both Pratt and Dodge City. Before that, she worked as a career navigator for the Kansas Department for Children and Families. Tasha received her associate degree in business management and leadership Tasha Konrade from Barton County Community College and is currently working on obtaining her certification in human resources. Away from work, Tasha is active in the community, belonging to several workforce and leadership groups in Pratt and Dodge City. She also runs a small business based out of her home. u

Manor of the Plains issues call for entries for Art is Ageless® Manor of the Plains is seeking artists for the annual Art is Ageless® juried exhibit March 18 – 21, 2024. Entries of artistic works will be accepted from any area artist who is 65 years of age or over to exhibit and/or compete for an opportunity to be featured in the 2025 Art is Ageless calendar. For the competition, works must be completed after age 65 and in the past five years (since January 2019). There are nine categories, as well as designations of amateur or professional. Entries are due to Manor of the Plains, 200 Campus Dr., by 4 p.m. March 11. Local competition winners will join winners from 14 other PMMA (Presbyterian Manors of MidAmerica®) senior living communities to be judged at the systemwide level. Winning entries may be featured in the calendar. Artists may also choose to enter works for exhibit only. The Art is Ageless® program encourages Presbyterian Manor residents and other area seniors to express their creativity through its art annual competition.
