Bob Wheeler leaves retirement to serve Aberdeen Village residents Well before he was retired, Bob Wheeler had high regard for Aberdeen Village. Now a part-time employee in the community’s transportation department, Bob spent the final years of his career delivering oxygen to skilled nursing residents for nearly a decade. “I spent most of my career in sales and marketing but then moved to the medical equipment world,” he explained. “I was so impressed during my interactions with Aberdeen Village. The residents were so well cared for and seemed genuinely happy.” When he did retire, Bob says he was “bored stiff” within a week or two and decided to find some part-time work. Aberdeen Village was on his short list, and he ended up getting hired.
Strawberry Butter Recipe

-6 large fresh strawberries (stems removed and at room temperature) -1 cup Kerrygold softened butter -1 cup confectioners’ sugar
Pulse strawberries in food processor until chopped. Add butter and confectioners’ sugar to reach spreading consistency. Refrigerate and enjoy!
Aside from driving residents to and from appointments or shopping trips, Bob also works in the life enrichment area of the community. “I love being involved in the various activities with our residents,” he said. “Working here is absolutely fantastic!” u
