Herb Society visits Aberdeen Heights JUNE 2023

It’s Wine Time Our Assisted Living residents got a treat recently when we hosted a wine tasting party in their piano room.

Carol scooped a bit of spread from the Herb society.

Residents were given samples of unknown wines to taste so they can decide which ones they preferred. And, of course we had cheese to cleanse the palate after each wine. Cheers! u

Dave and Jane taste the wine to see which they like better.

Carol and Barb taste the wine while Elizabeth and Kendall watch on.

Lorraine mixed up the spread so she could get a good taste of all the herbs.

Did you know how much you can do with herbs? It’s really quite fascinating, as we found out when the Webster Groves Herd Society visited Aberdeen Heights. They discussed the different types of herbs and how to grow them. They also put together a spread for the residents to try using the herbs they talked about – it included mint water, boursin cheese, and lavender cookies. Everyone had a great time learning about all the different way to use herbs. u
