Our participation in the Independent Girls’ Schools Scholarship Cooperative Model allows us to offer a streamlined approach that remains fair, transparent, and efficient.
To be considered in PLC’s first round of scholarship offers, applicants are required to nominate PLC as their first-preference school on all applications.

General Information PLC Perth is proud to offer a range of scholarships for prospective students entering Years 5-10 in 2028, and current students entering Year 7 in 2028. Students applying for Academic, General Excellence, Boarding, Music and/or Performing Arts Scholarships are required to apply via the Academic Assessment Services online portal. Students applying for Foundation or Indigenous scholarships are required to dowload the application forms from the PLC website and email them to the relevant department.
Available Scholarships Years 5 and 6 Scholarships
Academic Assessment Service (AAS) PLC uses Academic Assessment Services (AAS) to manage our scholarship programme. Applications for scholarships are completed online through the AAS portal.
Eligibility Years 5 and 6 Scholarships Open to prospective students entering Years 5 and 6 in 2028, not currently attending PLC. Year 7 Scholarships Open to both current and prospective students entering Year 7 in 2028.

Years 8 - 10 Scholarships Open to prospective students entering Years 8 - 10 in 2028, not currently attending PLC. Scholarships cover a tuition fee reduction of varying values from 15% to 50%. Scholarship values are based on domestic fees. All scholarships offered are subject to academic testing.

Application Process For Academic, General Excellence, Boarding, Music, and Performing Arts Scholarships ONLY.
1. Complete the online application Applications are submitted through the Academic Assessment Services website. All students applying for Academic, General Excellence, Boarding, Music, or Performing Arts Scholarships must complete the Academic Testing, even if they are not applying for the Academic Scholarship. A link to the Academic Testing application is available on the PLC website, and all applicants must use this link to register. If you wish to apply for the General Excellence, Boarding, Performing Arts, and/or Music Scholarships, you can select these as additional options during the registration process. There is no extra fee to apply for more than one scholarship. You will be asked to upload supporting documents as part of your online application. A list of required documents is provided in the application portal. Please ensure all documents are uploaded and your application is complete before the closing date.
2. Academic Testing and Auditions Academic Testing is scheduled for Thursday 11 February 2027 at PLC Perth. For regional, interstate or overseas applicants located 400 km or more away, alternative arrangements will be organised to sit the examination online at home on Wednesday 17 February 2027. If you wish for this to occur, please register using either the remote or overseas scholarship application link.

Principal’s Tour for Parents Following drop-off, parents are invited to attend an information session and tour the Junior or Senior School with a member of our Leadership Team. A tour of our Boarding House will be available. Auditions Music auditions will be held in the PLC Music Building on Thursday 25 February 2027. Performing Arts auditions will be held in the PLC Lighthouse on Friday 12 February 2026. Candidates will be notified of their audition time as soon as possible, following the closing date. 3. First-Round Offers First-round offers released Monday 22 March 2027. Unsuccessful candidates will be notified as soon as possible after the scholarships are finalised. The award of the Scholarship is at the full discretion of the Principal and no correspondence will be entered into. 4. General Excellence Scholarships
A number of Academic Scholarships will be awarded to students in Years 5 - 10 in 2028, who demonstrate a strong academic ability.

Award Criteria Academic Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate: •
a conscientious approach to our academic programme and satisfactory progress
•
strong academic results and progress at school;
•
a high level of engagement in learning activities; and
•
a commitment by the applicant and the applicant’s family to commit to PLC and the life of the College.
Academic Scholarships are awarded based on the results of a compulsary accademic testing and a personal interview.
Award Criteria General Excellence Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate: •
an active contribution to school life, through the Arts, Sport and Community service
•
an active contribution to the broader community;
•
support of the school values – integrity, learning, community and effort
•
a conscientious approach to our academic programme and satisfactory progress; and
•
a commitment by the applicant and the applicant’s family to commit to PLC and the life of the College.
General Excellence Scholarships are awarded based on the results of compulsary academic testing, a personal interview and evidence of active participation in a range of activities such as Sport, the Arts and Community Service.
Eligibility (for both Academic and General Excellence scholarships) PLC welcomes applications from prospective students entering Years 5 – 10, as well as current students entering Year 7 in 2028. Candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia. Boarding Scholarships A number of Boarding Scholarships will be awarded to students in Years 7 - 10 in 2028, who demonstrate an active contribution to school life and the boarding community. Award Criteria Boarding Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate:

Boarding Scholarships are awarded based on the results of compulsory academic testing, a personal interview and evidence of active participation in a range of activities such as Sport, the Arts and Community Service. Eligibility (for both Academic and Boarding scholarships) PLC welcomes applications from prospective students entering Years 7 – 10, as well as current students entering Year 7 in 2028. Candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia.

Music Scholarships A number of Music Scholarships will be awarded to students in Years 5 - 10 in 2028 based upon evidence of musical excellence as well as musical potential.

Eligibility PLC welcomes applications from prospective students entering Years 5 – 10, as well as current students entering Year 7 in 2028.
The Music Scholarship award is also subject to: •
being a member of an instrumental ensemble(s)/choir, as appropriate
Candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia.

selecting classroom music in Years 9 and 10 and participating in the choir; and
•
competing formal music assessment (AMEB, PLC Internal Assessment Programme, etc).
Award Criteria Music Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate: •
a high level of achievement in their chosen area of music study

a commitment to supporting musical life at PLC
•
a conscientious approach to our music and academic programme, and satisfactory progress
Music Scholarships are awarded based on the results of a compulsary accademic testing, audition and a personal interview. Costs not covered by the Scholarship include the remainder of the tuition fees, the technology fee, uniform, excursions and co-curricular activities.

Audition Requirements Auditions will be held in the PLC Music Building on Thursday 25 February 2027. Invited candidates must be available on this date and suitably prepared for audition. Applicants will be required to play two contrasting pieces of no more than three minutes in length, with piano accompaniment where required. Where two instruments are to be presented, only one piece on each instrument is required. The audition will also include aural tests (intervals, rhythm, triads and pitch) appropriate for the candidate’s level (AMEB or Year) and an interview. The Audition Panel will consist of the Director of Music and one to two other specialist music staff.
Performing Arts Scholarships A number of Performing Arts Scholarships will be awarded to students in Years 7 - 10 in 2028 who demonstrate an outstanding ability in Drama, Dance and/or Musical Theatre.

Eligibility PLC welcomes applications from prospective students entering Years 7 – 10, as well as current students entering Year 7 in 2028, who enjoy being involved in a creative process and wish to participate actively in the Performing Arts programme at the College. Candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia. Award Criteria Performing Arts Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate: •
a high level of achievement in their chosen area of performing arts
•
passion and enthusiasm, and a commitment to supporting the performing arts at PLC
•
a conscientious approach to the academic programme and satisfactory progress
The Performing Arts Scholarship award is also subject to: •
participation in school productions and events, on stage and off; and
•
selecting classroom Dance and/or Drama in Years 9 and 10.
Performing Arts Scholarships are awarded based on the results of a compulsary accademic testing, audition and a personal interview. It is expected that Performing Arts Scholarship holders will take every opportunity to involve themselves in the Performing Arts, both within the PLC curriculum as well as the co-curricular programme. Costs not covered by the Scholarship include the remainder of the tuition fees, the technology fee, uniform, music lessons, excursions and cocurricular activities.

a brief handwritten summary from the candidate outlining her involvement, achievements and experience in Theatre, Drama and/or Dance.
Audition Requirements Auditions will be held in the PLC Lighthouse on Friday 12 February 2027. Invited candidates must be available on this date and suitably prepared for audition. Following the audition, there will be a short interview with the candidate and audition panel. During this interview, the candidate will have the opportunity to discuss their interests in the Performing Arts, their experiences, and their artistic aspirations. This discussion is not only a chance for the judges to get to know the candidate better but also an opportunity for the candidate to express their passion, dedication and commitment to the dramatic arts. Drama applicants will be expected to perform a solo monologue audition piece lasting no more than three minutes. This monologue should be chosen
carefully to highlight their acting abilities, emotional range, and storytelling skills. Candidates are encouraged to approach this performance creatively. They can enhance their character portrayal by using costumes and makeup to immerse themselves in their chosen role fully. Additionally, candidates are encouraged to explore the use of sound and props, if necessary, to create a more immersive and captivating performance. This freedom allows candidates to express their creativity and interpretation of the material. Dance applicants will be required to present a suitable solo audition piece of no more than two minutes and thirty seconds in a recognised dance genre of their choosing. Preferred styles include ballet, jazz, lyrical, contemporary, and hip-hop. The piece should demonstrate a variety of technical skills, such as: •
Pirouettes
•
Kicks/grand battements/high brushes
•
Leaps/grand jetè
•
Any specialist skills
Applicants are required to bring their backing track on a USB. Musical Theatre applicants are required to prepare and present two contrasting musical theatre songs. During the audition, demonstration and application of characterisation should be presented whilst singing. Applicants are required to bring their backing track on a USB.
Foundation Scholarships Each year, the PLC Foundation offers scholarships to students who would otherwise be unable to attend PLC due to their family’s financial circumstances.

engagement in the life of the College by participating in a wide range of co-curricular activities; and
•
a commitment by the applicant and the applicant’s family to support the aims of the College and the Foundation scholarship programme.
The PLC Foundation Scholarship is offered to prospective students entering Year 7 and provides 100 per cent tuition fees from Years 7 to 12. Applicants must provide evidence of a sound academic record, a commitment to community service, and participation in co-curricular activities.
Conditions of the Scholarship •
Academic progress will be reviewed at least annually.
Applicants must be available to sit the academic testing on Thursday 11 February 2027 at PLC. Alternatively, remote online testing for applicants more than 400km away is on Wednesday 17 February 2027.
•
Scholarships are awarded on the basis that the student will remain enrolled at PLC until the conclusion of Year 12.
•
The student will be expected to participate in at least one co-curricular activity per term.
Eligibility

The student will be expected to attend the PLC Foundation Annual General Meeting, giving the student and the PLC Foundation members an opportunity to meet.
•
Parents will be asked to provide confirmation of financial circumstances during the term of the Scholarship.
PLC welcomes applications from prospective students entering Year 7 in 2028. Candidates must be a citizen or permanent resident of Australia. Award Criteria Foundation Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate: •
successful progress in academic goals, giving their best to the academic programme through exemplary attendance, a conscientious effort and acceptance of advice and support
Costs not covered by the Scholarship include the technology fee, uniform, textbooks, music lessons and instrument hire, tours and exchanges and cocurricular activities.

First Nations Scholarships PLC provides outstanding educational opportunities for girls in a warm and caring environment. Applicants will be chosen according to current academic progress, proven application to study, willingness to contribute to the PLC community, leadership qualities and motivation for tertiary study. Successful applicants will join PLC’s First Nations Programme, Gorna Liyarn. This name is derived from the Kimberley region, where our scholarship programme has its roots. In the Bardi and Yawuru languages, Gorna Liyarn translates to ‘strong heart’ or ‘strong spirit’. Students are involved in initiatives such as the dance troupe, Indigenous art, yarning circles, and community service activities, which are designed to develop a strong sense of cultural understanding, positive outcomes for students and strong partnerships in our community. Eligibility PLC welcomes applications from prospective students entering Years 7 - 10 in 2028 subject to availability. Scholarship Inclusions First Nations scholarships cover: •
the balance of tuition and boarding fees, after Abstudy and parental financial contribution

textbooks and stationery
•
subject-related tutoring
•
information and learning technology fees; and
•
school uniforms.
Parental/Guardian Support Students must have the support of their family and/ or community. This will require emotional support and financial contribution. The level of financial contribution is reviewed on an individual and highly confidential basis, with the expectation that families and/or communities will contribute according to their capacity. The Scholarship does not cover the provision of pocket money or other optional school activities or tours.
Award Criteria First Nations Scholarships are awarded to students who demonstrate: •
a positive attitude towards learning
•
sufficient study skills to cope with the demands of the curriculum, and good work habits eg completing homework, preparedness to tackle new work
•
reasonable literacy and numeracy levels for age (academic progress will be reviewed at least annually]; and
•
an ability to adjust to and respond positively to the College environment and have the social skills and confidence to relate well with others.
•
Students may also demostrate: an outstanding talent in a particular field of endeavour such as in sport, art, dance, music, drama, leadership, etc.
